I carry 71 years, and have loved this chapter since I read the Bible at the end of childhood, looking for answers to questions I could not even ask yet. Answers did not come from reading but from life, even as this chapter seems written from human experience. I have been through all the changes of pride it describes, and have observed what remains when pride is eroded.
I say it differently to myself. In verse 10, I substitute the word "complete" for the word "perfect", for it is complete reality that I have come to look for. In verse 12, I sometimes substitute "mirror" for the word "glass".

And at the end, I add my own thought,
"And the foe of charity is fear".
