I just watched a documentary on angels. I heard something I had never heard before and I would like to know if it were true, and where in the Bible it can be found. Are the Cherub angels in heaven the babies we lose down here?

No. Human babies when they die, don't become become angels. Neither will we when we die.

Kathy, even though man in his imaginations & depictions in paintings, show cherubim as chubby babies with wings flitting about the place, cherubim (Cherub, singular) in the Bible are certainly not that.

In the Bible, Cherubim are heavenly beings appointed by God as guards in Eden (Genesis 3:24). They were depicted as carvings at either side of the Mercy Seat on the Ark in the Tabernacle (Exodus 25:18-21). Their figures were woven into the veil in the Tabernacle (Exodus 26:1). The Lord is seen symbolically riding on one (Ezekiel 10:1-22).

Many have their interpretations of the function of Cherubim. I generally understand them as a type of angel (or, heavenly being) that are appointed as guards of God's Throne or His Holiness & symbols of His Mercy to all. This is largely taken from their position on the Mercy Seat. Then we have the other beings called Seraph/Seraphim that serve before God's Throne awaiting His Commands & are involved in purification as in Isaiah 6:1-7. What their actual functions are now, especially in light of the resurrected & ascended Lord Jesus at God's right Hand, isn't revealed.

    This may help:

Exodus 25:19And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.

Exodus 37:8One cherub on the end on this side, and another cherub on the other end on that side: out of the mercy seat made he the cherubims on the two ends thereof.

2 Sam 22:11And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.

1 King 6:24And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits.

1 King 6:25And the other cherub was ten cubits: both the cherubims were of one measure and one size.

1 King 6:26The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub.

1 King 6:27And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.

2 Chr 3:11And the wings of the cherubims were twenty cubits long: one wing of the one cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.

2 Chr 3:12And one wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was five cubits also, joining to the wing of the other cherub.

Ezra 2:59And these were they which went up from Telmelah, Telharsa, Cherub, Addan, and Immer: but they could not shew their father's house, and their seed, whether they were of Israel:

Nehemiah 7:61And these were they which went up also from Telmelah, Telharesha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not shew their father's house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.

Psalms 18:10And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.

Can women be preachers? If so, What are the Scriptures to prove it if they are allowed to preach?

    Joel 2:28-29

If you are a daughter, then you are a handmaiden.

Prophesy MEANS speak forth the Word of God. Preach and Teach the Bible.

Don't let people despise your humble beginnings. God picks those that will go ye.

    You must be born again.

You must be Holy Spirit Baptized.

You need a working knowledge of the Bible.

Your armor and weapons are spiritual, invisible, but if God calls you, He will equip you.

Jesus is your Example: do it like he did in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

Memorize everything on the LINK in the red area of this website, BECOME A BELIEVER.

There are many websites that teach practical information on how to begin a street ministry. You gotta learn to Pray. Go into the Prayer Request Room and help one person. :). Then another. Be Jesus with skin, in HIS harvest field. Disciples use a buddy system too.

    Mishael
