I'm confused, if John the Baptist was Jesus' cousin, why didn't he recognize Jesus when he came to be baptised?

I'm not certain. But also, just because you're someone's cousin doesn't mean you'll automatically know them.

I think he was just stunned to see Jesus walking towards him,

And hearing the Holy Spirit's confirmation in his spirit, that Jesus is the Lamb of God.

John the Baptist and Jesus were cousins.
