    2 Timothy 2:15

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

    Ecclesiastes 12:12

And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the Flesh.

    1 Thessalonians 4:11

    And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

    1 Corinthians 11:19

For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.

((My comment: that You will shine as gold))

    Romans 14:18

For he that in these things serveth Christ, is acceptable to God, and approved of men.

    2 Corinthians 13:7

Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest:

See if your Church has mentoring classes.

Google, street ministry classes online; and see what all that entails. Evangelism is faith with feet. And a whole lot of scripture under the Belt of Truth.

My prayers go with you, Mishael

Hi George. Your question is a very general one so only some options can be given for you to consider:

    1. Are you answering a call of God to serve or is it something you desire from your heart to do to serve the Lord?

    2. Are you looking to serve in your own country or go into cross-cultural ministry in another country?

    3. Is your calling, expertise, or interests lie in evangelism, literature, medical, translation work, other roles?

    4. Are you prepared to support yourself/family, or trust the Lord for support from the Church & others? Or, even a tent-maker position (i.e. you do secular work to earn money but involve yourself more in serving others in another culture).

    5. Is this for a short term or long term commitment?

    6. Are you looking to use the ministry to learn & develop your gifts, or are you already a serving member in a Church, who wants to diversify & meet a ministry's needs?

Those are some questions that come to mind. I was in my early 30's when the Lord clearly spoke to me whilst in prayer, calling me to serve with a particular mission. That was a faith mission (we had to trust the Lord to provide for our needs) & it took me to France, the U.K. & finally to Pakistan to work among Muslims & also to build up the Church there. That didn't last long (less than two years), as our work was very forthright amongst Muslims, & we were soon arrested, etc. & thrown out of the country. Will you be prepared to face persecution & physical harm if it comes to you for the Gospel's sake?

Entering full-time work in the Lord's harvest field is a decision that cannot be taken lightly. We are all called to be His witnesses just where we're at, but much prayer is needed for a separate dedicated ministry & that you sense the Lord directing you in this way. There are many Mission agencies who need workers to share in spreading the Gospel to the unreached or unevangelized: you will need to contact them to learn more. Every blessing as you wait upon the Lord.
