I keep reading this over and over again...

So muck here to unpack and to rely on the Holy Spirit for Wisdom.

What detail happened between verse 1 and 2?

Sun and moon was not made until the 4th day? What was source of light of first three days?

God refers to Himself as OUR

V29... seeds bringing forth their kind. How does evolution address fruit species? Oranges vs apples vs watermelon

    What do you all think?
  • Stanjett - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
    Jesus was the light.
  • Ken Beltran - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
    Exactly... totally agree

Reference John 1 and Last chapter of Revelation

As we can see in Genesis 1, the earth and darkness(sky) and waters were existed even though there's no mention that God had created them. Thus, the creation of the heavens and the earth in verse 1 let us know that God re-created the heavens and the earth when they already had existed.

If the light of the first day was the sun, what's the sun of the fourth day(the greater light, Gen 1:16)? And the evening and the morning were the first day, how could there be the morning before the sun was created of the fourth day? Thus it doesn't make sense if we interpret the light literally. The Light that God searched on earth was the pastor who had the word of truth and whom God was pleased with(ref. Jeremiah 3:15). Jesus said, 'I have come as a light into the world ( John 12:46),' "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.( John 8:12)." And God said about Jesus who is the light, "This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!"

God chooses a pastor to light up the darkness. Darkness means ignorant spirit(ref. 1 Thessalonians 5:48). There was only darkness before the light was existed on the first day. However, the light, the pastor who had the word of truth appeared, and the truth and untruth were divided. Just as natural light divides darkness and light, night and day.

When there are full of dark spirits due to ignorance, choosing a possessor of truth as light is the first thing that God does when He starts re-creation. God chose pastors whom He was pleased with( Jeremiah 3:15), such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, and He was with them and created new world.

It doesn't matter with any specific fruit species on the sixth day What we can know is that God gave the people He created, every herb that yields seed and tree whose fruit yields seed as food. Thus people became the lord of the creation and heir of God's work.

May it be the joyous journey for you!

To really know more information about creation: read all of those "center of each page, reference columns". The alphabet letters within scriptures point us to additional information about That scripture.

On the 2nd scripture it will reference backward and forward to yet another group of scripture. It can get quite overwhelming at times. Take massive notes.

We know from science and archaeology that stuff existed between that time, and Genesis verse one. God first created TIME. Time had not been on the clock before that.

If God had wanted us to know about what happened before verse 1, there would be a book in the Bible explaining it. If your FAITH is in Gods Love for us, you will TRUST what He has chosen to reveal. This Entire Bible is about a PERSON: Jesus, the son of God. First to last Scripture. Alpha & Omega.

It is not a Bible about Creation; only one Book of it. A line was drawn in the sand with the Flood. Satan was messing with the genealogies; with Adams daughters, making giants. All the giants drowned; all the fallen angels lost their bodies in the flood. They became demons: invisible. Ephesians 6. Satans name WAS Lucifer. Search those scriptures.

Everything that happened before verse 1 was Outside of Time. I believe the flood happened to scrap Satans creating projects.

THE BLOODLINE OF JESUS WAS SAVED. Also Mary and Joseph.

There is a whole bunch of people who are selling books and making money on Old Earth Theory. They have bones, rocks, carbon dating, etc. to explain that theory. I read enough to see that it's a CULT of people trying to get the Christians to follow them, INSTEAD of GOD and the SAVIOR of Mankind: Jesus Christ.

Without Jesus you'll be Left Behind on this Rock with a very wicked and murderous Antichrist. Who will kill as many of Gods humans that he can. All unbelievers in what Jesus did for us on the Cross; will follow Satan to hell.

CHOOSE who you are going to follow. NOW.

    You can't have other gods.

1 Corinthians the Bible says: "As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church."

    Hi:

And thanks for your comment. To clarify, I am a born again believer -with all of my sins- past present and future paid in full by our Lord at Calvary, to which I am eternally grateful.

To be crystal clear, my intent of the original post is NOT to cast doubt on any of the Scriptures but to have further enlightenment amongst other believers of the things that our Lord has done for us through His Creation.

I agree that the Nephilum were destroyed along with other things of Satan's tinkering projects -which perhaps fill the void between verse 1 and 2.

i.e. When Jesus said I saw Satan fall like lightening...' Could that have happened in verse '1 1/2' that caused the Earth be to become formless and void? Would God have started His Creation formless and void, or could He simply not speak into creating something beautiful and magnificent in the first place? See my point? A lot to unpack here, but always in praise and thanks to our Lord.

    Have a l blessed day...

    Romans 1:20

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

    Colossians 2:9

For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

The Godhead speaking to each other, in Scripture:

    Genesis 1:26, Genesis 3:22, Genesis 11:7

    1 John 5:7, Book of John 10:30

    Acts 17:27-30

The Godhead represents The Father, The Son of God, the Holy Spirit.

Comment: many people argue on this and this is a case of: Let God be true and every man a liar. Don't twist scriptures to validate your theories.

Jesus left heaven to come to earth and His name was the Son of man: fully God and fully human. He set aside his power to begin life as a baby, child and at age 30 he began his mission: to teach, make disciples, heal the sick, cleanse the leper's, cast out demons, doing good.

He was put on trial for blasphemy: saying he and His Father are ONE. He was judged and ordered to be crucified. He even saved one of the thieves he was crucified next to. Buried 3 days and then He walked out of the tomb! Many people went on record having seen him walking around after resurrection. It's recorded in the Bible and human history books. His ascension back into heaven was eye witnessed. Later, Jesus knocked Paul off his horse, blinded him but other people there HEARD an audible voice speak to Paul. It was Jesus!

Flash back to Pentecost: the Holy Spirit of God appears in the Upper Room as a roaring Wind and everyone receives His Baptism! It spills out into the street and everyone is hearing their own languages spoken! Many people were saved that day. He is spirit, so he is invisible; but unmistakably present in our world. He reveals Jesus to common people every day.

Life is EXCITING! Why would anyone turn down so great a salvation? Copy this down & preach it to family and friends.

    Stop procrastinating!

So when Jesus came down from heaven , could some one explain what did they do with his body ?

Why not just come down with it ?

So know Jesus has 2 bodies ?

I'd like an explanation never heard one , thanks !
  • Stanjett - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
Jesus has one body. He came down from heaven with that body and went back to heaven with that body. Go look in the tomb where He was buried after the cross. He's not there. Some did go and look and He was not there. They did see Him after He rose from the dead. But that tomb is empty to this day.

Yes Jesus is at the fathers right hand , but was born in Bethlehem, By the Holy Spirt and Mary .

Like no other , God gave witness that this Jesus is is Son .

    John Chapter 1

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. [the Baptist]

7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

8 He [John the Baptist] was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9 [Jesus] That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him [Jesus] and the world knew him not.

11 He came unto his own [humankind], and his own received him not.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory AS OF the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The Holy Spirit (upon consent by Mary Mother of Jesus) overshadowed her. (remember that H.S, is a spirit; no body).

The spark of Life within her began to grow. Jesus came into the world. Re-read verse 14 again.

COMMENT: the Holy Spirit who is co-equal to The Father and the Son; who co-created this world we live on: is the One who overshadowed the conception.

In Genesis 1:2 we see the Holy Spirit: moved upon the face of the waters. In Psalm 33:6 and Job 26:13 we see the Holy Spirits work.

Rob, you need to slow down and read in silence. If your Bible does not have 'center of each page reference columns'; get one. Put that in your search criteria if shopping online. Go to the other references on A scripture & see the added information/meaning. It'll blow your socks off sometimes.

MOST IMPORTANT: ask the Holy Spirit to Teach you the truths of what you read. Every time you study. That's how I dig up the things that I do.

Well M there is not much you can teach me , I'm very satisfied with Christ in my life .

Nothing compares to knowing him . I truly understand what you are preaching heard many years ago . But it's wrong . Dead wrong .
  • Rob - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
    Until you mention point 14

It all refers to God the father , then Jesus reveals God and Gods word by the birth of Jesus . The Son of God .
  • Rob - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
Can't find what you are saying here in these verses .

Do you have some much better ones ?
  • Rob - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
    Acts 17

Is Speaking if God the father that alone is Head over all .
  • Rob - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
    Colossians ch 2

God who is the God head over all , is fully within Jesus as a man . And we are in Christ .

So God is head over Christ in the flesh , and Christ in the flesh is head over his body those who are in him .

Or you are saying Jesus is GOD ?

These, Rod, were your comments on "M's" Genesis 1. Reading M's comment, my gut says M is Calvinist. Much of M's comment alludes to the eternality of Jesus before He was born in Bethlehem - a paradox. Not that God couldn't do it but it's not what the KJV says. Go to these verses- John 1,10,14. I'm chopping sentences to fit this in. Beginning-Word with God, was God. Word made flesh-Jesus, born a male-only Begotten(=monogeneses-Greek, one gene) Son of God. God made Jesus genetics, placed in Mary. Mary's genetics contributed nothing to Jesus. Mary provided a womb and blood for His natural human birth though Mary supernaturally impregnated by God making his birth a miracle. Jesus genetics made special to isolate him from Adam. All born in Adam have natural sin. Jesus had none because God requires an unspotted, unblemished sacrifice. Thank God for Jesus-the only one in the universe qualified as unblemished by sin to die in our place. He intercedes for us to God. He didn't even say pray to Him. He said pray to...Our Father which art in heaven...Mary was the incubator for the growth of Jesus to birth. She is not to be venerated, prayed to and the like. She was a chaste and virtuous woman but not the mother of God. Jesus said, my Father and I are one. Greeks used the word for the ordinal number one. Wrong-He spoke Hebrew, the word Jesus used was "ehhad" which means a unit. Study what Jesus said - Father is greater than I, I can do nothing without my Father, things concerning me have an end, etc. See 1 John 4:15-Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the SON OF GOD, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. This verse settles a lot of religious mumbo jumbo. Jesus does not say believe I am God. Believe He is Son of God - read 1 Cor. 15-22--28.

    I'm not Calvinist.

I am born again and sanctified by the blood of Jesus.

May the Lord keep watch betwixt me and you. Amen.
  • Mishael - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
Did you even read the Book of Luke? Mary is not a borrowed uterus. She is Jesus's mother!

There is a prophesy in Luke, delivered by the Archangel Gabriel...that ALL generations would call her Blessed.

I hope you can accept it.
  • Rob - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that answers every thing perfectly if it's understood just what it is .

But all this other things like trinity contradicts that Jesus is the Son of God .

Trying to piece together a Jesus is wrong .

Jesus is the Son of God period!
  • Mishael - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
    God is executive purpose.

Jesus is the Word - Creative

    Holy Spirit is Action

We see this in Genesis 1
  • Rob - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
I can't find Jesus anywhere in Genesis. Unless you think He is God .
  • Rob - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
    Romans 1.20

Has nothing to do with a trinity .

God is head over all .

    Hi M

Thanks for commenting. Totally agree with the facts you've provided.

Let's get the conversation started with our secular world - but through meekness and humility

It is not the hard facts that will win Souls for Christ, but His Spirit and Truth administered through kindness.

The words: trinity and triune are NOT in the King James Version of the Bible.

Load them up in this websites Search Box and hit that arrow.

King James shows Godhead. The search engine will find you some scriptures on that word.

    Love you in Jesus, Mishael
  • Stanjett - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
God the Father, Jesus the son, and the Holy ghost is a trinity. Three in one. Its not a couple or four or any other number. It's three in one. Sometimes we got to use our common sense. The word rapture is not in the bible either. Don't mean it is not true.
  • Mishael - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
Triune isn't in the KJV either...nor Trinity.

    Rather than argue Bible Version,

    LET US

agree to Worship The Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit.
