Just wondering how you posted this if you don't have internet? Never mind, it don't matter. Tell your kid that the rapture is like magic but not magic. It will be like one second you are here, doing what ever you are doing and then, "Poof.", you are in paradise.
I've found good Bibles at Goodwill or Walmart. Try to get a King James Version or a NIV or NKJV.

32 "Truly I tell you, THIS GENERATION will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

1 Thessalonians Chapter 4 would be a very good starting point. 4:16 says that we who are alive and remain will be "caught up" together with them in the clouds. These two words "caught up" are where we get the word Rapture from.
