And to think: Jesus came riding on an ass, or walking.

There is indeed movement to disregard Christ, leaving Him outside of the deity. Teaching a faith in a spirit that we create . A spirit created through our own works, a psychologically self willed goodness. Instead of reaching into the souls of mankind, they reach deep within mans pockets instead, only once again to sell another book! The Lord of course, prefers us to worship Him , and not concentrate on those things that do not bring Him glory, the same glory that is found in the love of Christ! The love that surpasses all understanding and can only be found in Him ,the Savior of the world. When we learn to love one another ,we only begin to touch the surface of the power of the Holy Ghost. We then, would become more concerned for the welfare of others ,instead of ourselves,"that doctrine of self , they preach. You need to feel good about yourself? You need to rise above!" If you need to live according to the law, here is a good one! The first commandment. "Thou shalt love the Lord with all your soul ,all your heart, everything that is in you". Remember, that when you fail to do this one thing, We have an advocate , that continues to bind us with God the Father, found in the shed blood of Christ!

    Fred Scanlan,

    Well spoken.

    Love God, Love your neighbor

We all need to find more love, tolerance, and patience in our lives for others.

The holy spirit can perform many missions in the preaching and teaching of Christs kingdom. When we give our self solely to him (the holy spirit), He will say and do what we could never imagine! It is impossible to serve in His kingdom without serving all three! The Father, The Son, and Holy Spirit. Thank you for response!

Please consider the following, as you refuse to accept God's 'Life' giving message ( John 18:37).

God unites His people (the believers) by His Spirit ( John 4:24; Eph. 4:3-6,13).

Luke 9:56. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them.

    Matthew 11:6. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me ( Isa. 8:14; Matthew 13:57; 24:10; 26:31; Rom. 9:32; 1 Cor. 1:23; 2:14; Gal. 5:11; 1 Peter 2:8).

John 3:19. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Luke 11:22. But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

1 John 4:4-6. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he than is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice ( John 8:47; 18:37).

You search the scriptures for in them ye think that ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life ( John 5:39,40).

He that is spiritual judgeth (discerneth) all things, yet he himself is judged by no man ( 1 Cor. 2:15).

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true ( Proverbs 1:7; 10:8,21; 12:15; 13:20; 14:9; 16:22; 18:2; 20:3; 29:11; Luke 18:10-14; Cor. 1:20; 2:14; 15:36).

We regret that you are not able to understand any of the above ( 1 Cor. 2:14; 2 Cor. 7:10). Notwithstanding: Seek and ye shall find ( Matthew 7:7).

Don't let your self-righteousness stand in the way of your salvation ( Romans 10:2-4).

    In His Service.

The law and gospel are what the church are not teaching. We cannot fulfill the law nor even begin to comprehend what it means to keep it . In your reply, you focus mostly on the law and sin that separates us from God the Father. No where did you mention Jesus Christ, or the love He has for all mankind, even those that believe on His name. I hope that even tho, you don't mention his name, this is what you want us to assume.Right? This same preaching is what is prevalent in the church today! Law with no gospel. The law is "a schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ". "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal". As a matter of fact, correct me if I'm wrong, every bible verse you quoted does not mention the Lord Jesus Christ. The world wants nothing more than to take Christ out of the word of God. Even if it means using His own words to do it. This you have accomplished, while making me believe that I am justified before God the Father, without the deeds of our Lord Jesus Christ. Which is easier to say, thy sins be forgiven thee, or take up thy bed and walk?
