can you cuss and go to heaven?
  • Stanjett - In Reply on Genesis 4 - 3 years ago
As long as you didn't curse the Holy Spirit you can be forgiven if you ask. Cursing against the holy Spirit will not be forgiven. The only unforgivable sin.
  • Stanjett - In Reply on Genesis 4 - 3 years ago
    Yes, But don't do it.

If you believe (see 1 Cor 15:1-4) you are justified. All your sins, past, present and future are forgiven. Confess and move on. We're not saved by what we do (cussing / not cussing - which are works), we're saved by believing.

Remember I seen many Christians confess , confess, confess, the term we want to use is repent means to turn about from sin it means actively stop sinning we have the help from the Holy spirit . God bless.

    Hi Ed,

What do you think of James 2:17? Do you think those are in agreement with your opinion, because it seems to say that faith alone isn't enough, does it not?

Here's some others like it; what's your take on these?

    Romans 6:15

    Hebrews 10:26

    Rom 7:22

    Matthew 7:21

    John 14:15

    Matt 5:13

    Matthew 7:26-27

For example, I'd love to have premarital sex tonight, but I haven't before because I read in the Bible that it's a sin of fornication. So, if I follow your advice, since you say all future sins are forgiven, does that mean I can go ahead and have premarital sex tonight without any consequence from God?

When my mind and heart was regenerated by faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ one effect was immediately it seems like nearly 95% my cussing was removed. All words that used the Lord's name in vain were removed. The 5% remaining , I pray to have the grace provided by God to deny myself of its lust. My sinful flesh still wants to this day to come up with some kind of other expression to satisfy this lust of unnecessary and finally sinful expressions. God's continued sanctification in His made Holy vessels, our temple, helps us to remain fixed on Jesus as our justification as we know what we were made of and want no more part in.

In this sanctification we may find ourselves reproved in our language patterns and with our regenerated born again hearts we will (hopefully) immediately turn away from willing lustful sins that the Holy Spirit warns us of. If we as these chosen vessels move on without being sanctified we will lose our justification by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ at Calvary and become sick. On language habits we should strive to overcome cover words which are vain and diminish the work of Christ and the power of His resurrection in our lives. Likely we all need help in this area at least a little, myself included.

Most Christians fail so many times because of their choices it looks easy to blame them doing the wrong choice. The Bible says we do not fight against flesh and blood but invisible powers of the air which Satan rules over earth. So how do we resist such powers well surely not by our own power? But putting on the power of Jesus the armor of God study about the armor from the Bible of course there is much more .read your bible please God bless.

Good morning Frank, Humility is part of the armor of God, is it not?

You really can't serve God unless you have humility because we are servants of self denial in able to serve.
  • Carleton - In Reply on Genesis 4 - 3 years ago
Thank you Frank. Self denial is an reasonable service.

Hi again Frank, I was thinking for the the purpose of edification, if you have some areas of Christian self denial that seem important to you that you would post.

    Thanks again, Carleton

Cussing or cursing is a sin and the punishment for it is death.

However, if you believe, confess and repent of your sins and follow Jesus, he pays your debt and you're covered by grace. If you stop following Jesus, or denounce him, or commit blasphemy I believe you will not enter heaven, however. Being a Christian is less about what you 'can't do', but how you choose to live. Link
