No. Do you any humans becomes apes. No two animals can cross breed with another animal and produce anything except for a donkey and a horse can breed and produce a mule but it is still in the horse family. And the Mule can not breed and produce anything.

How could anyone look at this world and the sun and think they just evolved from nothing? The sun burns at the perfect temp and has never ran out of fuel every since it was created so how many things do you know that burn and never run out of fuel or run low? How can anyone look at the earth and everything in it and think it evolved from nothing to? Have you non believers every thought how complex the human body and all living things on this earth and think it just evolved from nothing to? How can anyone think we were once monkey's? How many monkeys have you seen sit down at a table and chart the course to mars and back to earth? It is so easy for me to see that this world and everything in it was created by God! I have no doubt in my mind. Just think about really hard and then tell me you think everything was not created by God! I will tell you all one more thing. The Bible is getting fulfilled very very fast, just read all the verses on the end of time and you will see! Thank you everyone and God bless everyone of you! Jesus is going to come down out of the sky and we do not know when but he is coming and there is going to be a lot of scared people that day or night!

Hello, you do seem to have some consciousness here in life thus far in the flesh. Here is a dream from my step-father an atheist that was brave enough to ask myself and my wife about it's meaning which we could not answer.

In the dream, he had died and he found himself completely awake, and completely conscious of his existence with control of his mind. Only he was in complete darkness and completely alone, he said that in the dream he knew this as eternally.

I was perhaps where you are now in the early and late seventies when I received a dream that clearly put the fear of God within my heart to where I believed that there was a God and I feared Him. Today, I love Him through his Son Jesus.

How can you tell the difference between a normal dream and one that a supernatural being put in your brain ?
  • Chris - In Reply on Genesis 1:14 - 3 years ago
You mention the 'big bang'. Would not that assume that there had to be material, whether solid or chemical, for that to happen? In other words, how can there be a bang when there's nothing there? So where did that material come from? Even the smallest atom or the tiniest spark requires someone to have caused its creation & appearance.

It sounds like one needs a lot more faith to believe those 'scientists' which tell us that certain things happened in the distant past without any verifiable, documented, photographic evidence. Looking at some rocks can give some indication of an history of the worlds, but I've yet to learn of the possibility & reason for a 'big bang' without an instigator. If one would like to question those who believe in a Creator God, one should first convince himself that his belief in these other 'facts' are actually not an expression of faith on his part. When we are convinced that there is no God, then in our minds, the reason for our existence must be found in finite man's mental assumptions that would give us any reason or excuse to justify the non-existence of God.
  • ElectricWarrior - In Reply on Genesis 1:14 - 3 years ago
Scientists, mathematicians, phycisists, cosmologists etc have investigated the origins of our universe for many centuries and have come to a reasonable understanding of how our local universe has developed since just microseconds after the big bang, I have a reasonable confidence in the current theories being the best models available due to the many brilliant minds who have carried out these investigations and experiments, I don't use faith.

I believe that you may be pre supposing the existence of a creator god to explain the existence of the cosmos, I reject this notion although I will not rule it out as no one knows what caused the big bang to happen. Your belief in a creator god can coexist with the science, unless of course you take the bible literally. If you could show me some evidence and not just assert that a god did it I will of course yry to investigate further.

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof. Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived."

This is the picture of today & it doesn't take a special prophetical utterance to say that the heart of man will grow worse & worse and not better. Society may improve one's standard of living & give them the benefit of their knowledge & expertise in many fields, but it cannot improve the condition of man's heart & give him knowledge & a longing for an eternal existence. Life on Earth is temporal - life after death is eternal. If we choose to reject God's Word to us now & His offer of salvation, we have to resort to our only other option: belief in what we are told to accept as truth & the imaginations of our own minds - and these sources have always proven to be unreliable & deficient.
  • ElectricWarrior - In Reply on Genesis 1:14 - 3 years ago
Chris, what you are describing as signs of the end times are things that have been going on since modern humans began to populate the earth and form societies, tribes, nations, political factions, religions, cults, all through the biblical times and up to the present day people have predicted that the end times are upon us. Humans can be terrible, wonderful and all things in between. What we can do is try to build better, fairer societies and treat others with kindness and consideration and respect and not wait for a hidden and unknowable deity to come to earth and sort the wheat from the chaff.

I've said the above to show that no scientist can ever consider this other aspect of human beings. He may see it as an aberration in behaviour & that we are still essentially good people. The Bible, as you may know, tells us that we are the opposite: essentially bad but having good traits. However, if we are essentially good, then from where did these evil traits develop? I know what the Bible teaches about this, but how does one who believes in neither God nor the inception of evil, deal with such a distinct human nature of good & evil? Is it enough to say that's just how we are & go no further? Yet, we can have a clear conviction in how the worlds came together & the evolution of man, yet content with being uninformed or uninterested in this aspect. I would hope that the origin of this dual nature in man would be addressed by someone, since these are clearly not traits in our 'animal predecessors'.
  • Stanjett - In Reply on Genesis 1:14 - 3 years ago
Theres no evolution of man or any animal. God made us as we are. Only thing that comes close is the mule a cross between a horse and a donkey. Its still in the horse family. If evolution was true there would be thousand of offspring. There is none.

Thanks for your reply EW (if I may abbreviate). I've also kept up with what others have written here & of course, your replies to them. True, all those evils have been going on since man's creation & have not got better, rather steadily worse. As we so often hear from those of us who are old enough to make a comparison of the 'good 'ol days' to what we are seeing now, are all evidence of a constant steady deterioration of the heart & mind of humans. Our present news gives support to this.

We did well to have slavery abolished, women treated with dignity & equality, extra care for the poor, aged & infirm, etc. & yet with all this, people of another colour or belief still being marginalized, women being abused & raped, & the aged left in despair, anguish & loneliness. Yes, only so much can be done, but we must also realize that we can never get it all correct because humans, with all their knowledge & concern, can never deal with the condition of another's heart, only the outward. And that condition is called sin, or evil, that lies in the depths of every heart. How did this condition surface, if through evolution, our development & progress should have remained consistent with our former ancestors? Why have we developed anger, jealousy, hatred, sexual perversions, etc. along with our nobler traits of love, care & consideration? One can show great love & care yet in the next moment display anger to another. Where does such a dichotomy of good & evil in a supposedly 'higher form of animal' come from? Or, should we overlook the evil & dwell on that which is good within us? If so, that would be a guarantee for society's continual degradation, bringing mankind into the sewer of depravity yet sugar-coated with niceties.

I appreciate your further comments ElectricWarrior. Just as the scientists, mathematicians, et al, in all their studies & with their highly developed faculties can come to such conclusions as to the origin & age of the worlds, the fact remains that both they & us have to admit that our limited mental capacities & knowledge of matters outside our scope, must cause us to conclude that there has to be reasonable doubt to our 'facts' & assumptions. It is not enough to say, "Since there cannot be such a thing as a god, the only possible cause for the 'appearance' of the worlds was from a massive, catastrophic explosion in space". This may sound like a reasonable deduction but it only serves as just another theory without the necessity of a superior being Who was its cause & Who brought the worlds into their positions & orbits.

I agree, that in like manner, creationists would also need to make their claims real by way of proof, & even after pointing out the intricacies & structures of both living & non-living creations to non-creationists as proof, in reality even they cannot prove that a being made all this happen: we weren't there at the time just as our scientists weren't - both have to declare that their convictions are a ultimately a result of faith - whether faith in what the Bible, God's Word to man declares, or faith in man's observations, calculations & resulting assumptions. Unfortunately, most of our education systems have decided on the latter option, though for now appearing to be a sensible scientific approach to our origins, have & will continue to prove the moral & spiritual decay of many. In fact, if I were to prove a present truth from a previous declaration that our present 'wise' men should take to heart, is found in the Bible. Taking portions from 1 Timothy chapter 3 (written in AD 63):

It's interesting how you put your faith into flawed humans who have been wrong and lied countless times throughout history. Scientists continue to contradict themselves and reverse their beliefs again and again. Remember when we were 'running out of trees' and the world would end? Remember the growing ozone hole and we were all going to die? Remember when the end of the world was predicted from rising seas and it didn't happen? Remember the Alaska oil spill that was to devastate everything permanently, but instead its totally replinished with abundant wildlife? Remember the advice of eating 3 times a day with a big breakfast and lots of grains and carbs to be 'healthy'? 'Experts' can't even agree on the current virus: they said masks don't work, then they do work, then they sort of work, then they say 198k deaths in the US, but the CDC quietly admitted only 7% of that number actually died from coronavirus as sole cause, but the media and loud people ignore it and keep shouting the bigger number. This is who you put your faith in?

And you believe that your body that has more intelligence and features as a Tesla is just a random explosion from nothing which created something which reproduced with itself then magically made another gender, then magically things to eat 'evolved' at precisely the same time and air and laws of physics invented itself for no reason. Then your body magically had the ability to measure and equalize pH balance, heating/cooling, chemical compound processing, food digestion and utilization, and you have unique fingerprints, and a unique programming code language to describe each part of your body and it will magically heal itself anytime you get cut or injured. And you have hi-res video, audio, surround sound, prewired signals to/from your brain and all body parts. You have features you don't even realize that would be impossible to develop through natural selection, like anti-drowning features.

    All an accident. Yeah, right.
  • ElectricWarrior - In Reply on Genesis 1:14 - 3 years ago
Adam, I don't use faith when trying to determine what the best explanation for the origins of the cosmos is, I tend to apportion confidence reasonably depending on the source of the information, so for instance, I'd be happy to go along with say Lawrence Krause or Albert Einstein or Georges Lemaitre rather than Kent Hovind (who is a convicted criminal with a bogus doctorate).

I do subscribe to the notion of natural selection although don't belive it is magical as you implied. What seems more magical is the story that a god used dust and breathed life into the first man.
  • Adam - In Reply on Genesis 1:14 - 3 years ago
    Hi Electric Warrior,

Actually I believe you do have lots of faith in mankind involved with science, which is why I reminded how unreliable and wrong they have been. But science and the scientific method is in harmony with Christianity, not opposed to it as many falsely assume. So, if you're looking into scientific evidence of Christianity and the events described in the Bible there is a lot. For example, atheist scientists used to think it was silly the Bible claiming the universe was made in a single creation event of 6 days, but now believe it, but just call it a different name. Atheist scientists used to think the earth being underwater was silly from the story of Noah and the ark and there's no way that happened, but then realized there's fossils across all high-elevation mountains in the world, and that limestone mountains were all underwater and are from coral reefs. Then researchers found the remains of the boat itself on the side of the mountain in Turkey, did analysis of the materials and confirmed it was man-made materials, and is an official national park for the Ark, but of course the media wouldn't want you to know this. Then there's the story of Joseph who turned around Egypt into a prosperous country and one of the smaller pyramids was dedicated to him. Then when Israelites fled Egypt and crossed the Red Sea, researchers have now found ancient chariot wheels in the bottom of the canal. On and on. So, there's lots of tangible evidence that corroborates the authenticity of the Bible with dates, times, names, and is the most influential and significant book in world history. Maybe you should consider reading it?

    Link

But as for your faith in mankind and believing in evolution- that's takes completely blind faith, as no one has ever witnessed nothing causing an explosion and making something and no one has ever witnessed life created from an explosion and no one has ever witnessed or reproduced one life form evolving into another life form. God bless.

I would like to tell you what I see when I see the earth and the sun. The earth is a perfect world for keeping all people and creatures alive and then look at how complex the human body is, just think about it real hard and you will see we did not just evolve then look at the sun which has burned at the perfect temp to sustain life here on earth, it has never ran out of fuel or even ran low of fuel ever since the day it was created so how many things do you know that burn and never run out of fuel, I have never seen one. Have you ever seen a monkey sit down at a table with a pin and pad and chart the course to mars and back to earth. We did not evolve from a monkey. God created this earth and the sun and everything in it and it is so easy for me to see. Then look at all the things that Jesus did while he was here. He brought people back to life and cured people that they knew them and knew that he did it and there were thousands of people that saw him do all this! I believe that God created the Heavens and the Earth and everything in it and I will go to my grave believing it. One more thing is I have felt Jesus in my heart and I had the warmest feeling I have ever had and I have felt him standing by my bed at night and I am not a old fool I have felt it! Thank you God for everything you have done for me and I know for a fact that God has been watching over me for my whole life or I would not be here today, I came up hard as a old Tennessee boy that has done hundreds of things that I would have dyed for if not for the lord and I know it for a fact! I am sorry for talking to much but I am a believer and always will be! To much proof right in front of my eyes! Thanks you. A day is like a thousand years to the Lord so always keep that in mind when you are talking about how long it took for something to happen. One more thing and I will stop, take the best year you have ever had on this earth and times that one million times and that is what Heaven will be like.

You wrote more false assumptions and falsehoods again. We obviously disagree on what the truth is. There's only one truth. There's a mountain of support on the existence of God, not just scientific and historical, but personal experiences and testimony from billions of people, but you have a house of cards built on false assumptions and no hard scientific evidence. I have doubts as to your motives for coming to a Christian site and attacking Christianity with tired and empty points regurgitated from propaganda. I shared supporting info and you didn't indicate that you considered it. So, I don't think you're actually seeking the truth, but just searching for scraps to confirm what you want to believe. The term for this is confirmation bias. You use this to filter out the parts of reality that are threaten your worldview. Hope things work out for you. If you believe you're 100% right, why not just read the whole Bible cover to cover with an open mind. If you're so sure of your beliefs then it should do no harm to investigate what it says.

    Hello Electric Warrior,

I'm sincerely and simply wondering what your purpose of commenting within this forum is?

Are you commenting with/for argumentative purpose? Are you bored with life? Time to kill..?

Obviously, noone can "hand you" proof of the existence of God beyond the Bible which you view as a fairy tale. Regardless of what one states you will respond with a question or theory which you find personally acceptable and/or plausible based upon your individual belief.

Also, you can not disprove the existence of God to anyone in this forum regardless of how much of the "knowledge of man" and theory that you state.

I would normally assume someone to be unsure of their personal belief and searching in an exploratory state for definitive proof. In your case we clearly see.. this is not the case.

So what's the point or the prize? I'm curious.
  • ElectricWarrior - In Reply on Genesis 1:14 - 3 years ago
    Hi,

I don't really have a purpose, I am interested religions and the effects of same on believers, not just christians. I was browsing and posted a reply to someone who was praying to her god for help which apparently has, as yet, not been forthcoming. I do have time to kill but I'm not bored with life. I realise that no one can hand me proof of a god's existence, I'm only asking for credible evidence. There's no point or prize for me, I'm curious, that's all.
  • Stanjett - In Reply on Genesis 1:14 - 3 years ago
You are a hard case. Probably will not change your mind but Ill give it a try. Jesus died for our sins, ( yours too,) and the third day He rose from the dead. Go over there and look in his tomb, He's not there. Other books in that day record this event not only the bible. Give it a try read the bible. What gave the new christains courage to long after He was killed to go into the whole world to preach Jesus to all that would hear them. Most of the early christians was killed doing it. What makes a man do that. I would. I would lay down my life for Jesus.

May I recommend simply reading the Bible for the purpose of education? You will further understand the principles and fundamentals of Christian faith. It will also answer questions you raise or points you have mentioned-such as prayer and God's response time. It can't hurt, right? If you seek a tangible source, this is the one. Asking others for their opinions, beliefs or testimony, though you seek "credible evidence," seems more of a can of worms to pursue debate. If one has a genuine interest in a subject they devote their time to studying and learning it. Doesn't mean you have to agree just read with an open mind! If anything let it be an inspiration on how people should be treated and the fact that the intentions of man are often selfish and prideful.

Also, may I recommend the book "God's Crime Scene"(part of a trilogy) This may be more up your alley but comes as no substitute to the best selling book of all time. An interesting read for Christians, atheists, agnostics or anyone who likes interesting books/subjects. It may spark a flame.

I hope your curiosity is genuine and later reveals the purpose in which it was delivered! Just as science changes(rather, our understanding of) so to may your personal understanding and belief system of religion/God.

    Seek and ye shall find.

They say knowledge is power but truth is freedom.

Best of luck within your journey to find the answers you seek! :)

Go to that church and tell the preacher your story and he will tell you what you should do. If you have confessed Jesus, you are already saved. And you want to follow Him. Getting babtized is one of the ways to follow Him. For by faith are you saved, not by water. It is a gift from God.

Hi Nancy, I hope you are well, and that the smoke also has not been too much of a problem for you. It is difficult on this website to provide personal information. There likely are some Baptist churches in your area. Have you heard of the one that has put on a walk through nativity scene outside of Lincoln in Sheridan? Perhaps they have a online service right now. There is a church in Bangor, Ca that may be helpful and a similar one near Willows, CA as well. I will be praying for you and will mention you to my wife as well.

Nancy, Pray to the Lord to show you the path to the right church. You don't need to rush to the nearest one to get baptized. Many churches don't teach the word of the Bible. Pray for guidance.
  • Warfaring stranger - In Reply on Genesis 1:14 - 3 years ago
Your right, also that person can get baptized spiritually which will put in the body of Christ which is the Church.

    1 Corinthians 12:13(KJV)

"For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit."

The spiritual baptism is where when someone believes that Jesus Christ died on the cross, buried, "risen again the third day according to the scriptures."

    Ephesians 1:13(KJV)

"[13] In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, [14] Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory."

    Last but not least

    1 Corinthians 15:1-4(KJV)

"[1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; [2] By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. [3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; [4]And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

Give God the glory not me.
