    John 1;18 says no one has seen god ,what about jacob and mosas in gen.

    Jesus is God manifest in the flesh, many people saw Him and they lived.

    Twice God allowed some kind of visual but not clearly. JAcob only saw his back. Moses only saw His Fire.

    Go do a search on burning bush.

    Naturally they were afraid because of, "no man can see God and live."
