I am asking for prayer to become more like christ. I am trying to quit smoking. I have been smoking for almost 40 yrs. I bought some patches and I am going to begin them on Monday. Prayers for deliverence and stength.

I smoked off and on in my earlier yrs , and enjoyed it too , but conviction that it could be unhealthy if done too much is not good , it's the lords temple so we need to keep as it where his Temple . Also it is offensive to others . So treat it as a sin , the flesh is weak and craves the addiction and habit . But rest assured God will supply the strength to over come when we take right path of stopping it . Ask seek His help .

It's not easily done but don't stop trying , it will eventually never enter your mind again at one point in the future . I don't miss it any more .

Full commitment to quitting is the biggest step , gets easier as you go , was my experience.
