Why cant i stop myself from sinning
  • Stanjett - in Reply on Genesis 1:22
Man has a sinful nature. Paul once said, I do that which I would not, Not that I would, but the sinful nature that are within me. ( If we never sinned, we would never need to repent.) God has given us a way to escape. Forgiveness thought prayer in the name of Jesus. If we confess our sins, He will forgive us of our sins.

If you've been born again, then the Holy Spirit came inside to make His abode within you.

You can go look at the link near the same place you clicked on, to come into here. Look at the Become A Christian link.

If you have done those things, you just need to begin a relationship with the Holy Spirit. He's not an "it". He's the 3rd person of the Godhead. He is your Teacher, Reprover of sin. Your Comforter; Protector.

    He reveals Jesus to you.

Go have a look at 1 John 1:9. That's our daily go-to scripture, until we begin to really follow Jesus.

You're going to need to clean your home.

Questionable books, CD's, DVD's, stuff on the computer. Beer shirts, and anything the Holy Spirit alerts you to. You can't live half in and half out in the world system.

Be patient with yourself. Once the Holy Spirit is inside of you, He will keep you safe till all of satans demons are kicked out. If you DONT get rid of the "stuff", the demons will come back.

Honestly, you are going to lose all of your good time friends. I lost mine. I whined to the Lord that all my friends left; could I have some new friends? Next thing I know I meet lots of people from church and it's Acts chapter 1, all over at my house :D

    Great memories!

The only way to get the worldly stuff out of you, is to pump in the Bible (Gods Word).

One of my favorite songs is Grave Robber by Petra. Go on Youtube and have a listen.

Isnt the Holy Spirit and God and Jesus one? Didnt Jesus said out of his own lips "I and the Father are one"?
  • The Godhead Scriptures - in Reply on Genesis 1
    Yes.

Also, in these following scriptures , we clearly see the Godhead (Acts 17:27-30) speaking to each other.

    Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:37

    1 John 5:7.

John 10:30, I and My Father are one.

My favorite is Malachi 3:16-17. God listens when we talk together abut Him.

I Amos 17, and have a really sinful habit. You could even call it an addiction. How do I stop? I want to serve God and please him but I keep failing him. What do I do I need help.

Know that only Jesus Christ can take away your sin.

    Pray without ceasing.

Study and apply the principles found in Romans chapters 6 through 8.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)

Walk in the light and confess your sins to the LORD (1 John chapter 1).

Walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16)

But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.(Romans 13:14)
