I have tried to type this several times tonight but not one time do I think I have really hit where it needs to be? Seems to me like just overnight things went crazy! I have never in my 69 years ever seen anything like it, ever!? People are showing hate for one another like I have never seen? I have Black friends and have had all my life and I love them just like any other friends I have. I do not hate anyone but the devil!! We all need to come together and pray for everyone and I mean everyone! Have you ever seen anything like this in your lives? Please lets pray together. Dear Heavenly Father I would like to pray for all the people that are affected by all this hate that is going around right now. Dear Lord, I believe in you and I believe in your Son Jesus Christ and everything he did and you have done for us! I believe with all my heart that if we all pray to you that you will stop it and get us back to a more normal life. I know you can do it with one blink of your eye and I truly believe if all the people ask you to you will do it for us!! I hope Lord that others that see this prayer from me they will join in and then you will fix it for us so that we can all live even a more normal loving life with our Brothers and Sisters! Please everyone would you ask God for this and I believe if we all do he will answer our prayers!! Love you all and lets get things back on track and love or neighbors not hate them! Amen

I just found this site a little while back and I have liked it more than any I have seen so far! Our Country is in trouble right now and I do not know who to blame any more than anyone else does! They think they do but I know I don't! Right now I think that the most important thing any of us can do is pray for our Country! It is in big trouble, big, big trouble! Record sales on guns and ammo, hate coming from everywhere, why? We have always needed God in our lives and now we need him more than ever! When it all comes to a head if we have God then we have nothing to worry about at all!! A day in Heaven is like a million times better that the best day you have ever had on this earth in your life! I won't that, what about you? I truly believe that you should do everything that you can do to fix things before you start asking God to do it for you! He will help us but I also believe he expects us to try our best to! I am just a old hard working simple Man! I worked all my life for my Family so my Kids and my Wife could have a good life and we did but the biggest regret I have raising my Kids is I did not take them to Church and teach them about God and Jesus Christ! My Mother did! A Child needs a Father and Mother growing up to ask questions to about life and if they do not have one then they will try to find all the answers on there own and then you got big trouble!! I never had a Dad I could go to because I really think it was the way he was raised, in a house with a mean dad that beat his Mother and even tried to kill my Dad one time with a axe and he just did not know how to be a Dad! He had to die with a million questions in his head! He was a good Man and loved my Mother with all his heart and never one time when I was with him did he ever comment on another woman when we were out together, never one time did he even look at them! I know you think I am crazy but it is the truth because I started watching when I go older. Lets pray for this Country! Amen!

Persecution of the remnant church in the wicked USA shall bring about repentance. Praying for this country means nothing without repentance and turning from the things God hates. Judgment shall be good for the church and the wicked.

1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

There comes a time when the Lord is done with evil as recorded in Jeremiah

Jeremiah 7:16 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.

Jeremiah 11:14 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.

I believe this is where America and the EU are today.

I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

I am still awaiting a response from Bob himself. Bob made the comment(s). I await your personal clarification. Not for the sake of an argument but for the sake of understanding, why.

I believe I do, somewhat, understand your comment, beyond speculation. I've heard it before from many, just as many have. No need to ellaborate as your truth should be easy to speak. Especially if scripture referenced. Truth is love, is it not?

The Word of God is infallible. Though many, may, use scripture out of its given context, to "show point." Be it similar.? to textual corruption by copyist as declared in KJV KJSB( Numbers 1, page 228) as we see in the NIV and elsewhere. Declaring scripture must always be used is understood and I am thankful for that(those) reference(s). As a true believer in Christ I find it dutiful to also express one's Faith or view, at times, through simple layman's terms and to not seek a scripture that simply seems to fit the point. Or to not "hide" behind scripture.(Please, do Not take this out of context or manipulate it.) In no way shape or form will I discredit any specific scripture that pertains to this topic.

If you consult the Holy Spirit I believe you will understand the sincerity in my questions to your original post and that my goal is to understand, again, why. I seek to create no abrasion or in any way to begin a debate among anyone. I am sincere in question.

We are talking about America, specifically.

Is it as simple as Sodom and Gomorrah? Will we be judged as a nation rather than individuals or am I simply off in my thinking there? Will "Lot" have the chance to remove his family or is he automatically included?

I look forward to a response so that I may understand why many in the world share this view.

    It's that simple.

    God Bless

    2. If someone is a sinner, drug addict, pornographer, idolatrous, lost.. etc. do we not pray for them? Or do we simply leave them for the fire.

Son, daughter, wife, husband, friend, stranger?

I understand rebuking evil and I understand praying for the lost sheep.

So where are the fundamentals from Christ for those who say to not pray for a nation, as a whole. The whole being composed of again, groups and then individuals.

    Thank you!

T: The Scripture that I always have before me concerning prayer is James 5:16: "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

So often our prayers lack burden & focus & may end up being very general & routine. The prayers that reach Heaven, that bangs hard on its doors are from those who persist in fervent prayer, who pray with a burden, & whose hearts & hands are unstained. We each one have matters heavy upon our hearts & most likely impressed upon us further by the Spirit of God. And even when we pray lacking knowledge: "the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." ( Rom 8:26).

To not pray when pressed upon is very wrong & another person has to be found to stand in the gap.

"And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none." ( Ezek 22:30)

You have a burden to pray for America, as many of us outside her borders do, then let no man withhold you - you can do far more than anyone with political power can because God's Power rests upon you & carries your heart's burden to His Throne of Mercy.

You said that your prayer time reaches out into other parts of the world. A handy book to have is: Operation World. In His Service, we often carried the Bible in one hand & Operation World in the other. Also, if you're unable to purchase the book, it has a Web page where you get a condensed version of the countries of the world & their specific needs for prayer.

Those people are demon oppressed and possessed.

If you are strong in your faith, exercised in scripture study AND know what spiritual warfare is. You're talking about princes and principalities. Ephesians 6

I was into astrology many years. It was my grandmother who had a burden to pray for me, and mail me love letters. I got an entire church mad about what I was doing and they decided to pray and fast for me, 1 day. For a year my life unraveled before my eyes! Finally every shred of personal security was all gone. I was a quivering mass of self- medicated nerves!

I was finally ready for Jesus to come into my life.

It can happen for the groups you mentioned too. Nothing is impossible....

If that's where your faith is, then get some friends to join with you. Find the scriptures you want to make your stand on. You will shake heaven. Keep a notebook for anything the Holy Spirit may suggest.

Do your homework. You must know your authority over the demonic. Take a look at Charles Capps website. He taught me.

I've had the same kind of experience. I lost all my party animal friends; even casual Christians.

All you have to do is ask Jesus to bring new friends into your circle. Set aside a little budget so you and new friends can go to I-HOP and get Nachos for 6. :D

Keep your "discernment ears on" in case of Casual/Worldly Christians. Always take your Bible. Don't be shocked if the people in the next booth lean over to hear you all lift up Jesus. Read Malachi 3:16-17 (Click on this link)

Thank you Chris and Mishael. I see you both very active here in the forum. Please understand I AM doing homework. More so than ever before. Each time I have asked a question I have prayed and then opened my Bible and read, studied. I also search other forums and stray from many. It is amazing and truly awesome that in every question I have had, the Holy Spirit will lead me in the Bible to what needs studied, understood and placed into action. When responses are given, here, they come from the same scripture I was lead into. Beyond the "basic go to." I also have begun listening to Christian podcasts and radio as I commute each day. The podcasts and radio speak directly of the questions I asked the day or evening before. Specifically. I praise God and the Holy Spirit every time!

Again, maybe my questions are basic to those well vested in scripture but for myself I am not a biblical scholar. I have opened my Bible many times throughout life but it is now part of my daily bread. I now open it differently. Just as one does not graduate from university before completion of elementary and high school, I am working my way through! Please don't view some of our questions as too simple or include the view that we don't seek these answers on "our own." Many simply need guidance. Through God and the Holy Spirit but sometimes it's nice to interact with a human being who is firm in scripture. I don't have many friends and those I do have are being parted from as they care of the worldly things and have no Faith in Christ. Each day I pray to further my understanding in God so I may be able to be a firm part of God's Will.

    Thank You. God Bless

In reply to Bob Hilt's comment

So while many people ARE currently praying for America are you saying to NOT pray for America? According to the scripture you provided that "relates to America." Along with your statement of believing this is where America is at..

We would be speaking, here, of "America" as a nation, or a people. Correct? Within people we then break down America into individual groups and then individual people which includes: gentiles, pastors, nuns, churches, government, boy scouts, fast food workers, counselors, etc. Wouldn't I be correct in assuming that "not praying for America" would ultimately mean to not pray for anyone living in America? Americans? Is this what you are saying?

I ask simply and sincerely with no offense meant whatsoever! I want to understand your comment. Your opinion. As well as those who also refuse to pray for, us.

I do believe America to be the New Babylon. I live here. I don't like the majority of what I see and hear in regards to what is acceptable and the norm.

But everyone here, in America, is not part of the antichrist movement and did not choose to be born and reside in America. Not all here associate themselves with the world view of America.

So how can one possibly say to not pray, for America? There is no single group or people here who define America unless you speak of the government. Even then, as I'm sure most are aware, division is rampant. How is America defined as one singular, "thing?" ..beyond a nation or country.

So the genuine question, simply; How can anyone say to not pray for America? In my opinion that would be saying to not pray for anyone or anything in America as they or "we" are all a lost cause.

I believe in praying for America. I pray for the entire world. I pray for the people in the world.

I'm familiar with the scripture you posted. I'm seeking an explanation of your comment or like minds on this topic.

Again, this by no means is intended as negative. I seek understanding.

    God Bless
