Genesis 3 the serpent in the garden that tempted Eve.

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that OLD SERPENT old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Is the serpent a mere figure of speech?

Was Eve speaking with a beautiful angel as mentioned in Ezekiel?

Ezekiel Chapter 28:15 Thou [wast] perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. (Created, not born)

16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with VIOLENCE violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

(war in heaven Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,)

17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy BEAUTY beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy BRIGHTNESS brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of LIGHT light.

I do not lean towards the talking snake thing personally.

Na satin was there to lookover adam and his lovely, , but ? where in bible does GOD say Do Not [touch the fruit ]?
  • IwG - In Reply on Genesis 3:1 - 3 years ago
It's not in the bible. God commanded man not to eat the fruit from the tree of life.

Yes , Adam preached to Eve and that open the door for satin He touched the fruit and he did not die and eve knew what dieing was not breathing , so satin touch and then ate the fruit , and then said YA EAT THIS AND YOU WILL BE JUST LIKE GOD's and we all want to be like HIS SON, a GOD,
  • Happy Babtistcostilist - In Reply on Genesis 3:1 - 3 years ago
correct so adam must have told her that , so he added to GODs WORDs so I believe that was the first sin , adam preaching to eve ,m what you think ?
  • Mishael - In Reply on Genesis 3:1 - 3 years ago
Not trying to be disrespectful: I think Adam was busy naming animals and plants and left Eve alone too much. Enough time to contemplate "what happens if I eat this". She had encouragement from The Deceiver.

Adam and Eve were the first marriage. We're to be equally yoked; as a team of horses pulling a cart. That's why they used to say "getting hitched".

As a team, they both suffered loss for the breakdown of Communication!

Adam as the head of the family was supposed to lead Eve into rightness and obedience.

  • Adam - In Reply on Genesis 3:1 - 3 years ago
Maybe you're joking or being sarcastic, but for the record just read the Bible. It's clear what the first sin was and that was eating the fruit of the forbidden tree. They were sinless before that. They sinned then were kicked out of the garden. There's no confusion about it.

I think you mean the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Gen 2:17.
  • IwG - In Reply on Genesis 3:1 - 3 years ago
    Sorry for that mistake.

    Genesis 2:16

"And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:"

    Genesis 2:17

"But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."
