You don't get saved with religion. Period. It takes RELATIONSHIP with Jesus your SAVIOR. Religion won't heal you; it won't find jobs; it can't save your soul from hell.

Repent. Take up your cross. Follow Jesus daily. Not just on Sunday.

    Matthew 24:51, 25:12, 25:33

Have you asked and received the Holy Spirit since you believed?

Can a Christian committ SUICIDE and still be Saved after they Die?
  • Mishael - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
My email just lost my reply. I'll write it again this evening. Until then...

Take Jesus's life; not your own. Have you given him a chance to show you what your life can be?

Tell me what's going on, no matter what. I've been through what you're going through, too. You came to the right place.
  • Barry L - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
    Where's the email?
  • Adam - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
God is the judge. But for someone to willingly kill themselves seems to be in defiance of God. It's destroying God's creation and God's holy temple. 1 Corinthians 6:19. It's also murder, which is one of the ten commandments. The Bible doesn't say specifically about suicide being forgiven or not, but God is a fair judge and knows the heart and will judge accordingly. I personally would not risk doing it, even if I'm struggling with my health. If in a coma and on a ventilator, dependent on a machine to live for a long period of time and bankrupting the family, I personally don't believe withdrawing such support (passive euthanasia) would be murder in my opinion. That is a situation I would pray intensely about.
  • Barry L - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
    Good answer ...
  • Chris - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
I agree, that was a good balanced answer from Adam. However, he did introduce 'passive euthanasia', which got me thinking further. How would one then view these three: suicide, euthanasia & murder? I realize that each one is different, pursued for entirely different reasons, but what do you see as the common denominator? I see, & I can be corrected, that the common denominator is "the taking of life", i.e. taking of life that God has given to us.

Maybe from this basic understanding/assumption, one could then formulate an appropriate view from God's Perspective, in regards to: to whose authority do we appeal to; is there any leniency or allowance given to us; and, where does God's control or interest end & the realm of man's responsibility & action begin?
  • Barry L - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
Hmmm! Why all the Big fancy words? Why not a more ELEMENTARY -EXPLANATION...Like just plain old simple English? Not that I don't understand, I'm a very smart person; but in my experience with people, you know, the average person...

They'd be like in the Dark right about now, with all the fancy words ya got going their and the others too! I'm Basically into STREET-MINISTRY...It's like the Apostle Paul said: I BECOME ALL THINGS TO ALL MEN, THAT I MIGHT WIN SOME! Sometimes you might have to sit in the mud Hole with pig and get Dirty too, if ya know what I mean Figuratively-Speaking, but doesn't mean you have to do what they do...in other words you don't have to eat the SLOP, right?
  • Chris - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
Barry, thanks for your comment. Sorry, that's just the way I talk & write: trying to compress as much of my thoughts into a rich use of words & sentences & so avoid unnecessary circumlocution & verbosity. And it's for good, smart folk like you that I write, so that I might get some good insight & feedback on this important issue. And, by the way, I did see excerpts of that sad account of the young girl who suicided. Very sad indeed, yet we don't know her full story.
  • Andrew Kingsly Raj - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
No. If a person commit sucide, he will not enter the kingdom of God. Each we may do a small mistake. But when we seek earnestly for God to forgive that sin, He will forgive you.

If a person commit sucide he will not enter eternal life.
  • Barry L - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
Hmmm! small mistake! what some sins? i don't think our father in heaven considers any sin a small mistake! when i hear s comment like that, i'm like i dont think so! all sin is an abomination to god! you, my friend, can cut it & slice it anyway you want to...bible says: the wrath of god is revealed from heaven agaiinst all the ungodliness of men, just look in the book of romans. the book of romans...sounds like god is not too haply with sin according to the apostle paul if you wanna get technical about it!
  • Barry L - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
Hmmm! are you like stereo-typing every person or every situation involving suicide? if that's the case! then you must be god.
  • Barry L - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
I'm not asking for myself! Personally, I wouldn't do it...not Good. I witnessed a young woman 12yrs. Old committ SUICIDE by Hanging herself! It was a very Sad thing to see. The girl was only 12. I'm just wondering if you guys believe in maybe an age of accountability?
  • Bob Hilt - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
Barry I am sorry to hear about that. I do believe the Bible teaches the age of accountability is 20 years old.

Exodus 30:14 Every one that passeth among them that are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering unto the LORD.

One was not required to offer a sacrifice for oneself till they were 20 years old. otherwise the Father was offering on behalf of the family. in other words under the headship of the family.

Numbers 1:3 From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.

A male was not to be drafted into the army until they were 20 years old. Not considered an adult till then.

Numbers 1:18 And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.

A census of the adults was not reckoned until they were 20.

I am of the opinion that she shall grow up in the 1,000 reign of Christ after the tribulation and given a chance to accept or reject the Lord. After all in the kingdom believers do not marry as Jesus said in:

Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Yet there are children in the kingdom.

Isaiah Chapter 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.

until a Lion can eat straw this has not happened, yet there is a sucking child there, so where do they come from?

    Aborted kids?
  • Peter - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
It is a very hard way to die. I think that the problem relates to getting away from God and then when you are stressed or confused or on drugs or are partying and then probably stressed and confused, and you have no one to talk to and understand; and you do not know God and Jesus; who do you talk to?

When you have God; You always have someone who understand you; and will always stay with you etc.......

Today people have turned their back on God for the belief and deception of evolution and money also seems to be the Goal; and their is nothing wrong with money if it is used for the right stuff but in this world; man control it and rules it and children starve, get sick, die. live in slums, etc.

Children don't need to read and understand scriptures but they need the basis, God created the world and everything in it. etc.
  • Barry L - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
You say, CHILDREN DONT NEED TO READ? Hmmm! If your basically saying, what I think your saying...WRONG...WRONG...WRONG...Children do need to read, I Disagree! I'm not talking about a 5 or 6yr.old, I'm talking here about a 12yr. Old girl that was just Lacking a few months from being 13, ok! The Jewish people started their children reading at a very early age! Didn't like the fact, that little girls were restricted pretty much from the study of the SCRIPTURES & the TALMUD and also other teachings! Point is...children should be taught God's word early! In most Hmes you hardly ever see FAMILY-ALTAR-TIME. In my Home, I started studying around 11yrs.old or earlier! I was considered odd & wierd by family members! I'll stop there! My point already made! People wonder why their kids do the way they do....like Hang themselves in their families front yard, while Mommy and the other siblings are taking a Nap! So don't tell me kids don't need to read, or read the Scriptures...
  • Mishael - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
I read Psalms to my 7 yr old Grandson and he loves it! He loves it more than other children's books. Especially when he's going to sleep. He also asks me questions about it as we read along.

I do this to lay a foundation of love for Gods Word in his heart. A little seed that will stay there until the "forest fires" of life come.

Did you know some trees in the forest drop their seeds; and they lay dormant till the fires come. Then they open in the heat and begin to grow a new tree after the fire? It just shows me that God loves and makes provision to us in a million wondrous ways!

Turn off Mickey Mouse and Read Psalms to your children.

Tell the stories that have survived the passage of time, while we wait for our Lord to return.
  • Barry L - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
Be sure to tell others outside your circle....like our lord & savior said: go into all the world and preach " the gospel" sometimes, that might mean sitting down with a bag lady whos sitting in a mcdonalds counting nickles and pennies just trying to get enough for a hamburger or maybe just a cup of coffee!
  • Mishael on Angels Unaware - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
As a street minister when I was younger, I bought McDonalds coupon booklets (for food) and gave them to old ladies or alcoholics who forget to eat food. I'd listen to their stories and tell them of a day when there would be no more sadness or tears; about a Savior who knows them personally.

Jesus said to us: when did you see Me, hungry and thirsty, sad and alone, in prison (real or in my mind), In need of clothing etc.

We can't help all of them, but I promise you the Holy Spirit will lead you to the right ones!

Also, it's possible to meet angels unaware out there too. I saw a man walking with bad feet and broke driving laws to circle back, pick him up and take him to get brand new shoes and socks. It was dark & raining. I didn't find him. I looked everywhere.

8 months later at the doctors office, I was telling the doctor about bad feet stories. His eyes were all big...he told me he picked that man up that night. He did surgery on his feet for free. Bought him good shoes and took him back to his neighborhood.

Stuff like that happens because Jesus knows everybody!
  • Mishael to Barry - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
It's so hard to see someone die that way. She was very young, but certainly was an age to know the difference of good and evil. Our society romanticizes suicide as an option.

As I said, I've known where she went in her mind. Life can become so painfull. Reality is too bright, so you stay in the shadows in your head. The spirit (demon) of Death moves in and brings with him other spirits with one common goal: to take a life. To Deny God the joy of that child. I don't know her circumstances, but kids these days are in a war for their very lives. It's not all puppies & kittens. Music and internet are not as helpful to some people. We need to turn our parental Instincts to know when a child is slipping away into a darker world.

To me, Death looked like a warm fuzzy blanket that would protect me from harsh realities. I found it in pills and liquor. My friends would sleep on the floor outside my bathroom where I fled to be alone; because they were afraid I would OD.

Satan is a hunter of Souls. Christian parents even, need to be in tune to that child. Pray, FAST, and be well informed about Spiritual Warfare. Listen to Derek Prince on YouTube. Type in: spiritual warfare. He uses art sometimes to get his points across, stronger. Yes. Some demons look like that. One night I turned my head and saw an apparition, that was a 6 ft tall refrigerator shaped thing with branches, in the bedroom closet. I was saved by that time, and I bound and cast it out and forbid it's return! In Jesus Name! Get loud.

To the Christian who knows spiritual warfare; we can make those things leave. You can surround the child with prayer and protection. YOU ask the Holy Spirit for the GIFT of discerning of spirits. Google that. If you don't think music is Dark; listen to Tool.

Read the lyrics. Satan WAS an archangel of music. Still is. Learn these things and minister to kids and their parents. Ask Jesus; Ask Holy Spirit to teach you WAR. Stay in touch.

  • Mishael on 2 Timothy 31-5 - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
I choose to avoid websites like Facebook or Twitter. I don't have enough time to peer into madness, daily.

You need to understand 2 Timothy 3:1-5

This what we see everyday. Jesus is returning soon. You have to lose friendship with the World; to PURSUE salvation and friendship with the Son of God.

Spiritual and physical death is forever, in the darkness and separation of eternal hell. People there are tormented by demons. They do not meet up with their BFF's.
  • Barry L - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
You can't go through life, being afraid to touch this, and not touch that! so many people are so afraid! so many so called christians are like, too afraid to , like, sit down or just sit next to a homeless person, because they might get a little dirty! baby, you can go on facebook or twitter, or what have you...doesn't mean you have to do what everybody else is doing. you need to drop the self-righteous-attitude ya got going there, and just to up your sleeves there....and prepare to get your hands dirty, or god cant use you my friend! ok!
  • Barry L - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
So, you know where she was, like inside here Head! You didn't even know Her! I thought I did too! Until I watched Her videos...
  • Barry L - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
Bible says...the THIEF cometh not, but to KILL, STILL and to DESTROY. it's not like I don't have answers or that I'm not BIBLICALLY-EDUCATED...I'm basically trying to engage other Christians and Hear their input! I also have questions that sometimes I can't answer, like How is it that GOD was never Born! Hmmm! That's a Good one, Huh! Never came up with an answer for that one! Hah! Here is the Girls name, in case any of you were just interested in seeing what our young people are maybe struggling with in Life, right? Her name is: KATELYN NICOLE DAVIS...if your interested just go on Facebook or YouTube! She's pretty much become the POSTER-CHILD for some major Suicide organization! These people are promoting SELF AWARENESS! I personally take it a step further, and promote PRO-LIFE...Later!

Andrew, May I suggest you study the life of Samson before you try to teach people about suicide being an unpardonable sin.

Judges Chapter 16:27 Now the house was full of men and women; and all the lords of the Philistines [were] there; and [there were] upon the roof about three thousand men and women, that beheld while Samson made sport.

28 And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.

(Samson asked the Lord for strength to kill himself and the philistines)

29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left.

30 And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with [all his] might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that [were] therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than [they] which he slew in his life.

Hebrews Chapter 11:31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.

32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and [of] Barak, and [of] SAMSON Samson, and [of] Jephthae; [of] David also, and Samuel, and [of] the prophets:

33 Who through FAITH faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

Samson committed suicide and he is in the Hebrews hall of faith.
  • Andrew Kingsly Raj - In Reply on Revelation 18 - 3 years ago
Samson is the role model of lost. He is fall in Love and revealed his secret of strength. At the end of his life, there is a chance for him to destroy Belistines. In order Samson had in love with a Belistine woman, he wants to die with them(which is not a correct decision).
