Requesting prayers for spiritual strength, healing, family to be saved

& finances. I love God but the pain in this flesh clouds my physical & spiritual being. I can't feel life all I feel is pain. I believe but the pain is overwhelming.

Sharon, you know when we come to the end of ourselves, there's nothing left, BUT GOD. He has always been there - He's always waiting for you to cast all your cares upon Him. In fact, that is the first verse that came to mind, 1 Peter 5:7: "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." But it's one thing to say that, but how can one do it when the dark clouds of pain in our earthly existence overwhelms us?

First, we need to know that our enemy, Satan, wants to have a 'field day' with us: the more he can keep us miserable & weighted down with cares, the greater is his joy. He will do absolutely anything to keep us from looking to & trusting in God - He would rather us wallow in our griefs. So verse 8 of the same chapter, tells us to be "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world."

So, if we understand that the 'darkness' in our souls is because that is where Satan wants us, we need to resist him with our faith. 1 Jn 5:4 "this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." So it is the practise of our faith that gives us victory. The armoury given by the Holy Spirit ( Eph 6:10-18) is for our use in combat. And for you right now, use your Shield of Faith, the Sword of the Spirit (read & study the Word & using it against Satan) & Prayer (much prayer praising God & asking for strength to find peace & rest in Him). When Satan sees you are not alone but coming in God's Power in your hands, on your lips, your faith, he will flee. And when there is victory & your joy returning, don't slacken off thinking Satan has gone for good; he's never far & that is why our faith is a great warfare, but we never fight it alone & always thank the Lord for the victory. For your family, your healing & your sense of worth, the Lord will restore when you focus only on Him.
