Jesus said even as Moses lifted up a serpent in the wilderness even so must the son of man be lifted up,Jesus is our bronze serpent spritually speaking,We are still in the wilderness, sometimes we get bit but if we behold the lamb of God our snake bite ( sin ) is not fatal aka as Grace etc. Behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world John preached, John knew we wd get bit sometimes in this evil world but no condemnation to them in Christ Jesus.This bronze serpent was a metaphor, the 1 st sign of Grace to come in Christ Jesus. The law was given by Moses but grace and truth came by Christ Jesus.I.E. the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us FREE from the Law of Sin and death SNAKE BITE AND DEATH in Moses time.
