Father, thank you for your goodness and your mercies that are new every morning. Thank you that all your promises are yea and amen. According to your Word, by the stripes of Jesus we were healed thru your finished work on the cross. Show your amazing power as you did when Jesus walked this earth healing ALL that came to Him. He was the perfect image of you. Father your Word says You never change. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever. Bless your Holy Name. I release my faith in behalf of this person who is in trouble and I expect the things that ONLY YOU can do. I've seen you do them time and time again because you love all of us. We give you ALL THE GLORY AND HONOR FOREVER. In Jesus name. Amen.

Doris, I can't think of any other Scripture than Psalm 91 that provides such assurance & comfort when one is going through deep & dark valleys. I have a dear elderly friend, also Doris by name, so I feel compelled to write, who is now confined in a nursing home, going blind & with alzheimers. She loves the Lord dearly, as you do, and hangs onto Him so tightly, that her present sufferings, though very real, are but just a passing aberration. As apostle Paul said, "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the Glory which shall be revealed in us" ( Rom 8:18) and Peter ( 1 Pet 4:13). So be assured that the serious medical issue you're going through is not just known by those about you, but by the God of Love & Healing. He is Yahweh-Ropheka: I AM the LORD Who Heals ( Ex 15:26). Keep your gaze upon Him, soak yourself in His Love, enjoy His Glorious Presence through the Word & prayer. He is mindful of you & we will lift you up before His Throne.

I'm so grateful that you wrote to her too. It was hectic here with my 7 yr old grandson.

My Dad died from Alzheimer's. I came back to Tulsa after vacation with family. As soon as I got back home the Lord said your father is dying. I quizzed my mom & she told me everything. She was running their business and trying to take care of him too. So I moved there to take care of him. I loved him as much as my son. The night he died he had been aspirating food..and he drowned. I was holding him and I felt something Invisible walk in the room. It said Leave. I'm going to take your father now. I was gone 4 minutes and he had passed. His face was so peaceful. I would've fought an army to keep my Dad.

It was so kind what you said. Very Christ-like. Merciful.

    Our heavenly Father,

We come before you and we thank you for your provision. We humble ourselves before you, and we are so blessed to know that you hear and answer every prayer that is asked according to your will, not ours. Father, we lift up Doris to you that you might heal her and strengthen her during this tough time she is going through. Help her to know that no matter what she is going through, that you are her strength. We know that you alone have the power to heal, but we also understand that there are times when you choose not to heal, and we accept that, because we know it is from you. But we pray Lord, that your will be done in Doris' situation. We pray this in Jesus' name, Amen!

DORIS: if your Bible has a Dictionary,

Look up 'Healing' scriptures. It will boost your faith. Try speaking them out.

Mishael, you too have experienced great sadness & loss, but the presence of the Lord has been very real & overwhelming to you. I'm sure that your ministry & testimony is so much stronger & precious to those brought to receive it, as from the Lord. I was interested in reading about what took place just prior to your Father's departure. When I lost my Mum in '69 to cancer, my Dad was with her in hospital; I wasn't there. But he related to me that she was in great pain in those final moments & had laboured breathing. He felt in his spirit that her end was very near, so he asked the Lord to spare her more pain & to take her to Himself. She closed her eyes at that very moment & entered into Christ's Presence. Yes, we all grieve when we lose someone so precious, but as believers, we experience something that no one else does: at the moment when our time on Earth is done, all of Heaven is involved in the ushering away of the loved one & resultant healing to those left behind. Ps 116:15.

I have peace now. It's hard to see all your prayers go with them. Harder still to see someone you love be in pain and terror, drowning. Still, I wouldn't have left that bedside unless the Lord had not told me what He did. Our prayers matter. They are with their Beloved.
