I find it difficult feeling that none of us could fulfill what Jesus has told us to do. I believe that is why we need Him. He also told his apostles to kick the dust from their feet when the word wasnt received and to not cast Pearl's b4 swine. These statements seem to be contradictory. Can you explain? What do you feel about this passage?

The apostles could be meek in their demeanor, but bold in preaching the message because they were granted that authority by Jesus. The act of shaking the dust off their feet was a symbolic warning or testimony of impending judgement whenever a city had rejected the preaching of the gospel. Casting pearls before swine refers to an attempt to teach spiritual things to those that absolutely reject the gospel. The rejecters' natural tendency is to respond with persecution of the believers. They still need to hear that Jesus Christ died on the cross for their sins and was raised from the dead to justify those who believe, but disciples should be wary of attempting to reform the unregenerate.

If anyone has a legitimate cause to accuse you of doing harm to them, it is far better to work it out with them and settle the matter before they bring you to court. In old times you would be imprisoned until your debts were paid up. Likewise we need to agree with God about our sin and reconcile with him on the basis of Jesus Christ dying on the cross to pay the full redemption price for us. If we had to pay that price ourselves, it would take more than forever to get out of Hell. Also we would be wise to do our best to avoid having any unresolved conflict with others when we finally appear before the LORD.
