There are many people that do not believe in Christ at my school and they say they were a mistake because their parents had them on accident and that they are an atheist because they don't believe in God because they believe they have no purpose in life. I always tell them that everyone serves a purpose whether it be to work at a restaurant or to be a pastor but they say that if i stay out of their business then maybe they would actually like me. I made friends with an atheist and I tell him about God all the time and He'll just be arguing with me asking questions and I answer them and he just does not believe me because he feels as if he is worthless. What should I do?
Good for you for being an encouragement to others- a light in a dark world is what we're called to be. Believing is usually a matter of the heart, not necessarily intellectual arguments. So, I would pray for him and just show love as a Christian would to others. When people see that light and your joy they will become curious and maybe open their heart to learning about Jesus.
