Do Hebrew Israelites wear wedding rings? If not what do we do with them? My husband thinks we can wear them as a necklace, I disagree and feel convicted when I do.

    Are wedding rings biblical?

The ancient pagan Romans were responsible for beginning the use of engagement and wedding rings.

They wore the ring on the third finger of the left hand because they believed that a vein from this finger runs directly to the heart.

Most of what is done in a wedding ceremony is based on pagan practices yet many Christians over look this because of "tradition".

Since wedding rings symbolize pagan practices what should we do with our wedding rings?

Wedding rings in the Bible are not given. You can google, Jewish Wedding Traditions, and get all the info you are seeking.

In my opinion, just because someone claims ownership of something doesn't mean they really do. The Bible says satan rules the world, but we still have to live here and that doesn't mean I'm doing satanic things by any means, the opposite. I reject pagan or evil ownership of everything they claim. For example, Christmas, it's the one day a year some people go to church and hear about Jesus and I don't think that should be thrown away just because someone claims there's pagan ties. There's actually evidence that Christians did already celebrate Dec 25th first before pagans claimed it, so I reject the enemy's claims on my life. God is the judge. A ring too is Biblical and not pagan: Luke 15:22

Ok, but again what do we do with our wedding rings we ignorantly purchased as a symbol of our union?

LESLIE. If you are against re-selling the rings; put them in a Jewelry box and save them for your kids wedding someday. Did you google Jewish wedding traditions? There's info on the rings.

It's my opinion that wedding rings are important symbols of love and commitment and should be kept. God wants us to have strong bonds of love and commitment with each other. We shouldn't let false claims perpetuated from pagans, radical groups, or any evil infiltrate to rain on our parade. Rings have been used for millennia and are fine and have nothing to do with paganism in my opinion. May God bless you and your marriage.

Thank you Adam. However, I used to practically be atheist so now that I believe I'd rather (not assume things) obey THE MOST HIGH than men. I don't want to be as the heathens but be obedient to THE FATHER repentant and obedient to HIS LAWS STATUTES and COMMANDMENTS in our SAVIOR'S NAME!😇
