There seems to be a group of people claiming Israelites were black, but from my understanding Israelites then are the same color as the Israelites today, middle eastern, medium shade, with olive skin, of course depending on how much time they spend in the sun. In Jesus' day they walked a lot and likely were quite dark, but what scriptural evidence do people use to think they were black like Africans?

    Revelation 1:13-15

13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

    14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

Mary rev 12 the only "evidence" the black hebrews have is the slavery thing
every race has been in slavery even Chinese in Shanghai.
1 Samuel 17:42 - And when Goliath the Philistine looked about, and saw
David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair
    countenance.

fair countenance = fair complexion (Webster 1828 Dictionary) BLACK is not fair complexion
Ruddy = healthy reddish color, a ruddy complexion
ie rosy red blush the Irish ruddy.
Song of Solomon 5:10 - My beloved is WHITE and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand.
Lamentations 4:7 - Her Nazarites were purer than snow, they
were WHITER whiter than milk, they were more ruddy in body than rubies,...

Bob Hilt, thou doest err not know the scripture, and filling Mary with lies. Not any place in scripture doest the word "fair" have anything to do with the color of the flesh. At every place from the lips of the LORD the word "fair" is speaking of the beauty or lack of. Esther 1:11
To bring Vashti the queen before the king with the crown royal, to shew the people and the princes her beauty: for she was fair to look on.
    Jeremiah 23:28
The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the Lord.

    Fair per Webster (1828) Dictionary
    FAIR, adjective
    1. Clear; free from spots; free from a dark hue; white; as a fair skin; a fair complexion. hence,
    2. Beautiful; handsome; properly, having a handsome face.

Bible book Song of Solomon 5:10 - My beloved is WHITE white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand.

Bible book Lamentations 4:7 - Her Nazarites were purer than snow, they were WHITER whiter than milk, they were more ruddy in body than rubies, their polishing was of sapphire:

Bob Hilt, What men call, the "Webster's dictionary" is where thou doth seek thy understanding of the words of life? The very words of knowledge that came forth from the lips of God? Isaiah 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
    John 8:47
He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

Webster of the dictionary fame was a believer who knew over 20 languages. Webster knew the Bible languages of New testament Greek and old testament Hebrew. He defined the English language. Fair is a racial description more often than not and yes it does and can mean beautiful. snow white was the fairest of them all, get the picture.
Germany and England gave us the printing press and Bibles. Back when they used to be a nation of Christians.

Thank you! Since scripture doesn't support it maybe it has more to do with current cultural social justice efforts pushing it and less about scripture evidence.

Mary ask yourself which group of people spread the gospel to the world.
Which group printed Bibles like England with the King James Bible.
Which group of people built the churches.
    Asia?
    China?
    Africa?
    Europe and USA?
