Those who stood with God against Satan when he tried to take over the Mercy Seat-God destroyed the elements of the earth(1st earth age). Gen 1:2 The earth (was= became, in the Manuscripts) void. Not the earth destroyed but the elements and all flesh of the earth. The earth was reestablished and made to be inhabited. Satan was bound and cast into the pit by Michael, but Satan's spirit is free and here on earth today. Not Satan defacto, but his spirit.
