I am truly amazed at the divine power that God gave to David. Remember 1 Samuel 16:7 states that Goliah's spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron. David is just a lad and Goliah's spear is awful heavy, too heavy for David. Yet, David used Goliah's spear to cut off his head. Has anyone thought of this! It had to have been the power of God to give David the strength to even lift the spear. What an awesome God we serve. There is nothing to difficult for Him. Hallelujah!

You are right, but even so, the sword would have been too heavy for the lad David. Remember Goliah was a
giant, every one of his weapons was H U G E !! I maintain my view, regardless. God gave David the strength
to use any of Goliah's weapon. Also God's power...in the sling and the rock to knock out a giant!!

David slew Goliath with a stone, not a sword. Goliath the Philistine was already dead when David removed his head.
Read> 1 Samuel 17:50. And it was not a rock that David slew him with, but with a stone he slew him. The words of the LORD are pure words and to rightly divide his word 2Timothy 2:15, is a commandment of the Lord. There is a great difference in a stone and a rock in these pure words that the LORD hath spake from his own lips. Be very careful with your words.
Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement.
