Rev. 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
It's my personal opinion that we exist for God's pleasure and He wanted to share his love with his, but he didn't want to force us as robots, but give us the freewill to choose. Just as it's more meaningful for your kids to say 'I love you' out of their own free choice, God likely values that too. He has high standards and hates immorality, so we are unworthy, but our character is tested on earth and our humility to see if we can accept Jesus's free loving gift.
We were created to be in fellowship with God, Him loving us, and us loving Him. That is why a lost person feels empty. They try to fill that void with everything except the only one that can.....God
Norma, the answer to this is long but I'll shorten it--We are here because there is so much sin in the world. We are given the knowledge of right wrong free will . God wants to know those of His children who will stand with Him against Satan. Many will perish with Satan only the righteous will qualify for God's Holy Kingdom. We are being tested, so to speak, to see if we qualify for Heaven.
