Question for Adam. Not a trick question. How do you square Jn 1:18, "no man hath seen God at any time" with Ex 24: 9-10 where by my count about 74 people saw God and described the sight?

The 74 people saw the glory of God from a distance. They saw what Moses saw from his location between rocks, the glory of God.
Recently I spent some time with a friend who also thought that these people sat at a table with God and ate and drank.
After carefully reviewing the word of God, it became clear that "no man has seen God and lived".

Hi, good question. If you read in Exodus 33:20 Moses asks to see God, but he explains that he can't see his face and live. So, instead Moses would see his glory or goodness pass by. God has revealed some part of his glory to select people. Genesis 32:24-32 Jacob wrestled with God, but didn't initially know it. God took the form of a man and probably didn't reveal all of himself.

Jacob, like the rest of us, wrestled between good and evil. He wrestled against the good that he would do, just like Paul.
