    At S: while Luke 18:13 is well and good, it is not the sinners prayer that so many profess as salvation.

    mary B: Thank you for your response and I agree, the prayer offered by the sinner in Luke 18 is not specifically a prayer that most have learned if they have grown up in an evangelical church. However it is my belief that it is more a matter of what is in a persons heart, than a matter of the words spoken. As Jesus says in Luke 18:14, "This man went down to his house justified".
