VS 13 durst no man join himself to them. vs 14 and believers were more added I do not understand these 2 verses, especially since they are back to back. Seems like vs 13 is saying no one else joined them, but then vs 14 says more believers were added. Will someone please explain?

Joe , Acts 5:13 And the rest durst no man join himself to them means not any of the other people (believers) followed after or did what Ananias and his wife did to lie to the Holy Spirit. Because fear came over the others when they saw that they died. And verse 14, mearns that even more people became believers or saved because of what happened and they now truly know that God was with Peter and had given him Holy Spirit and it's Power.

Acts 5:13 says "And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them". The rest were afraid to join the group who held everything in common Acts 4:32 because of the death of Ananias and his wife. Notice the rest of Acts 5:13 says "but the people magnified the them" Apostles because they believed. So it is my understanding of Acts 5:13 is just because the rest were afraid to join themselves to the Apostles and the group of believers that had everything common, did not mean they did not believe. I hope this helps.
