    Pride is poison of destruction: the abomination making desolate. Pride hardens thy heart and sickens thy mind, giving place to deceit. Pride leaves no place for the Holy Spirit of discipline. No proud man can give GOD the glory due him: for how can the proud be thankful to GOD while praising himself for what cometh of GOD'S grace, yet now ye blame GOD? Pride is Satan closing the door of thy heart:
