I've been raised my entire life under the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses, but cannot wrap my head around or bring myself to completely agree with the belief that my family and everyone else seem to be very strict about.....and that is what the Bible says in Leviticus 17:14....... I understand the scripture and it's context, but what about John 15:13. Can someone help me better understand these?

you cannot inherit the kingdom by works, lest any man boast, neither by faith, and faith without works is dead,So only by Grace do we inherit,by keeping the faith and laboring in love for our fellow man,JW,Luke9:49-50 john said master we saw one casting out devils in thy name and we forbade him cause he fellow us not.HE said forbid not, for he who is not against us is for us,all will have to answer.

True Shane we can't Work for our Salvation it's by God's Grace and Mercy but we will Show we have Faith those who didn't said Lord Lord Lk6:46 but they had no Genuine Love and Commitment to God or Others their works were fleshy not of the Spirit and so their Lives showed their True Heart Focus. We see this in Matthew25:31-46 Yes how we Treat Others is how we are Treating Jesus God Bless you- Annie

Hi Danielle, it's my personal belief that most of the laws from the old testament were fulfilled when Jesus died on the cross. I believe this instruction to not drink blood is for health reasons and I personally still abide by it. Romans 14:13-23 relates to this. Is this your real question, because I wonder how John 15:13 is related to Leviticus 17:14.
