    1 John 2:1 Tells us that if any man sins, we have an Advocate with the Father. Jesus is our propitiation for our sins, and not only ours, but the whole world�s. In order to have the Advocate on your team, you must accept Him in your heart as your Savior. That is why the scripture tells us God is not willing that any would perish, but that all would come unto repentance. The proof that one is born again, is that he/she will not practice sin. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. So a child of God cannot practice sin. Whom the Lord loves He disciplines, and this is what keeps the child of God on the straight and narrow way.
