My significant other has had at times a very worldly past but has given herself to Christ and asks for forgiveness continually. But she hears voices that tell her she is not forgiven and is still hore other bad things. Ive prayed with her about this many times but all my explanations seem to be frugal.does any body have any words for her that might help or scripture that I can refer to.

David, once we are born again we will be tormented by the devils just like Paul was Acts:16:16-18.I Abhor almost daily my sins against God and hate the very garment that touches this sinful flesh, but I am rest assured in my salvation in Faith alone in Christ alone! Jeremiah 29:11 and Jude 1:23. If she trusts only in Christ for her salvation then according to God she is saved and God does not lie!

David, I will speak from experience. When I became born again the devils told me the same thing and would put evil thoughts in my mind against God and Jesus.I just kept praying and reading Gods word as well as pressing on and now they have stopped.I am sorry to disagree with the previous response but we are not told to forgive ourselves that is the Calling of The Lord.Rmns 7:23-24 Ephe 6:10-18

Dear David, does she believe she's 100 percent forgiven? It's important she believes it herself. The Bible is clear that our past sins are washed away and we are cleansed by Jesus' sacrifice. 1 John 1:7. Remember Paul used to murder Christians and was forgiven. Secondly, has she forgiven herself completely? You can search forgiveness on this site for verses. Pray for peace- there's no fear in love

Dear David I understand how your Wife feels if I had been alive when the Apostle Paul was he couldn't have said he was the worst of Sinners but we all are Our Sins caused Jesus and Our Abba Father to suffer greatly and Seperated them and they knew they would but Their Love for us was so Great! I felt intense guilt but did what Adam shared and than I had God's Peace Rom6:5-11 Christian Love- Annie.
