The first official disciple of the Lord was a woman. Jesus revealed himself to two women after HIS resurrection. The importance of women in HIS ministry, to hearing and delivering the message of Christ, to the spreading of the word of God has long been underreported and underestimated.

In addition, 26:13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.

She was anointing Jesus in preparation for his approaching death and burial, in an act of love.

Soon after Judas sells out Jesus to the chief priests, as he is disappointed with Jesus's messiahship, as he, like other Jews was expecting a military leader to overthrow the Romans by force, not by sacrifice and peace.
