Regarding the genealogy. With two records - Luke is obviously copying from another source - and I submit that the Genesis account written about Moses' time, one assumes is also from a much older source. Humans can make copying mistakes. Also note that the language of Jesus' time was Aramaic, not Hebrew. So spellings and pronunciation of names were likely different.
