Who is jesus? Where the source of word trinity and does it have written in the bible or it is a human being philosophy?
  • Albert - In Reply - 4 years ago
It's human philosophy. Trinity is not taught in the bible. And the Holy spirit is not a person, but the power that emanates from God.

Jesus is God incarnated. He is God in the flesh that came down from HIS Glory and became flesh John 1:1-9 . Jesus came as the perfect Lamb of God to die for us and to take our sin upon himself who knew no sin and then He arose on the third day and is seated on the right hand of God interceding for His children. His children are those who accepts Him as their Saviour.

To really know who Christ is, is to look inside His own Word: John 1, John 20:28, 1 Timothy 3:16, John 14:7-9, Hebrew 1:8, 1 John 5:7,20, isaiah 9:5-6. These are just e few of the many verses in the Bible that describes His greatness.

It is a human philosophy. Refer to the Council of Nicaea 325 AD for a detailed history. Athanasius is the person who formulated the Doctrine, in fact, he is considered the Champion of Trinity. Thank you.

thats not true, the concept of the ''trinity'' was already in the earliest known church. The concept is when the Father, Son and Holy spirit are mentioned in One breath or sentence as One. Polycarp 70-155 160 AD student of John the Apostle Father, Son and Spirit, ONE Justin Martyr 100-165 AD Father, Son and H.Spirit ONE Ignatius of Antioch 98AD Irenaeus 115-190 AD Tertullian Etc et

Girma, start with JHN 1:1-In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, the Word was God. Now go to 1Jn 5:7 There are three in Heaven Father, Word, Holy Spirit. The Word is Jesus God in the flesh that walked among us on earth and the Holy Spirit the Spirit of God . This makes up the Trinity. The word Trinity is not in the KJV but 3 trinity. They are one the same united.

Jesus is the Christ, he is the Lord, he is the true God, and eternal life. The word trinity is man's word, not the Scripture's, used to describe something said in the Scripture. There are 3 that bear record in heaven, and these 3 are 1.

But, Mathew 19:17 Jesus says keep the commandments if you want eternal life, he doesn't say I am the eternal life. What is your take on that Brother?
  • Kim b - In Reply - 4 years ago
The way I take it is if we follow his commands we will have eternal life. Eternal life is a gift from God by Jesus dying on the cross for us.
  • Ham - In Reply - 4 years ago
I know, but if Jesus himself says follow the commandments if you want eternal life. Secondly, you quoted that Jesus died on the cross for our sins rejects Galatians 5:6 where it says every man shall bear his burden responsible for his deeds, sins .

I have not read Scripture that states specifically that He is eternal life however, He does state that He gives eternal life. He is eternal life because He has stated "I AM THAT I AM" and He gives eternal life to us as a gift through Salvation through The blood of Jesus Christ His life, His death, and His resurrection .

Jesus wasn't speaking to all men, but a certain rich man who asked him what he must do to have eternal life, and Jesus's response was to keep the commandments. The rich man said he kept all those things from his youth, and asked what he still lacked. Jesus said that if he would be perfect, then to sell everything, give it to the poor, and follow him. See 1 John 5:20 about Jesus being eternal life.

Yes Ruben The Trinity are confirmed in Scripture They are called The Godhead both mean They are One Spiritually but They have different Roles as do Men and Woman in Christ Jesus they are One Spiritualy too and equal but Men are to be in Authority under God's Leadership as He is in The Godhead, Woman are their Helpmates in Loving Submission meeting Men's needs in everything Godly.
