    I don't agree with the answer about the number of chariots that Pharaoh took to pursue the Israelites. Surely 600 is mentioned, but so are and all the chariots in Egypt. I believe there were more than 600. How many more the number is not given. Maybe the 600 were for war and all the rest were for travel or work.??? Look at 14:7 again and you should see the distinction. Special and normal.

    These were chosen chariots 600,special force that maybe at the disposal of the King. Others were just chariots for normal use.
