This letter, that Peter wrote, and him being a total devotee of Christ and one of those disciples that had first hand face to face encounters with the LORD, has inherent truths upon truth and revelations upon revelations,in it, that are meant to draw believers, nearer and nearer to God.

Interestingly, in some instances, Peter could not get away from what Jesus has- he would say 'where else shall we go- for you have the words of eternal life'.

In fact it was him that said that 'we have left all to follow you and what shall get from this'- and then came the response From Jesus, that refers to the hundred fold return.

As amatter of fact it was the same Peter that did percieved and discerned that Jesus Chrsit is the Son of God or the Christ of God, in the midst of the others. And hence, God had to use him to write this letter, because he had personal and what may refered to as first hand experience with Jesus- and also a witness about what Jesus did and also about His death burial, ressurection and ascension

As a matter of fact, when the great commision was given, he was there with the other desciples- hence this, I Peter 1, as the opening chapter, carries so much weight and it reminds us that we as christians belongs to incorruptibility and thus we are joint heisr with the LORD.

It is really a very helpful and also a useful letter, written from a heart of love, meant to stir up and admonish Saints no matter where they are, to stick with the LORD, for there is no other that can save or deliver like Him.

He is really - and truly forever trustworthy. His name is holy!
