Wesley G, I get what you are saying. It is as Paul stated, "The things I know to do I do not, yet those things i Know not to do those that i do".
As also stated our flesh and the desires of it are at enmity toward the heavenly Father. Messiah, His Son Yeshua, gave us an entry to the Father. That is where you must start. He (Yeshua) stated "I will bring all men unto Me when I am lifted up" (signifying His death on the cross) But we are not to "come to Jesus" and that's it. Messiah gave His life that we can commune with the Father and when we accept we are (where) sinners, now connected BACK to our heavenly Father we can live for Him. Presenting our bodies a living sacrifice - without spot.
