Verse 2. If Rehoboam the son of Solomon had taking heed to this word of wisdom of his father he would have retained the whole kingdom of Israel. But Jeroboam the servant of Solomon seems to be wiser than this son, hence the kingdom was divided in two and a servant got larger portion of the tribes.
