"SPIRIT" in Bible Discussions

And Jesus replied, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things." ( Luke 20:8).

The Pharisees; who derided Christ throughout His public ministry had this to say shortly before the crucifixion. Jesus shut them out; as well as remaining silent soon after during Pilate's interrogation. Self exaltation and justification wasn't necessary for Christ didn't seek to be served but to serve and give His life for a ransom for many. ( Mark 10:45) The fact is; the Pharisees and religious leaders should have known who He was; and therefore were operating in deliberate blindness; uniquely qualifying them to commit the unpardonable sin. (See Matthew 12:24).

Part of the concept of the verse on "casting pearls before swine" ( Matt. 7:6) relates to this. Jesus hid meanings of the Parables to others who were deliberately spiritually blind (see Matthew 13:34; and Matthew 13:15; Isaiah 42:19-20). John 9:39-41 shows the end of an entire chapter related to a blind man's healing; where Jesus explains how men are made blind to the truth; but the Pharisees after asking if that was the intention of what Jesus said were still left with the judgment for themselves because they could see and were responsible for their sin.

These are sobering reminders that man is not justified in any righteousness of their own and estranged from God from the womb ( Psalm 58:3); yet has a conscience given by God where men are judged more harshly that know the law ( Romans 2:15).

Jesus warned that judgment would be worse for those cities that rejected Him than for Sodom and Gomorrah ( Matthew 10:15).

This attitude led to the unpardonable sin; blasphemy of the Holy Spirit where Beelzebub was attributed to Christ's healing rather than God ( Matthew 12:22). The issue of forgiveness of sins was truly where the problem was; since the miracles were manifold.

Nonetheless; Jesus wouldn't use His power to save Himself on the cross or when unbelief was present (see Matthew 13:58).

Blind Faith - Luke 5:5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

It's amazing that when we are led by The Spirit of God we are sometimes led to do things that would not normally make sense to us: the truth is, when following Jesus, trust, faith and obedience are the necessary or key elements required to bring us to a place or state of victory. Peter was an experienced Fisherman and had ample knowledge of the sea to know it made no sense returning to fish, but that word he used NEVERTHELESS sent doubt ,worry and fear out of the door leading Peter and his Fishermen team straight into a place of victory. It's ok to question God if in doubt, its even ok to make a request like Gideon Judges 6:36-40, ut it's not ok to disobey the voice of God because it doesn't make sense to you.

I understand these kinds of challenges. I believe we a each have a besetting area of this kind. Heb.11:25; 12:1-2. ... This is a warfare that engages us at two deep levels.

The spiritual level: It can require renouncing any kind of visitation that has a familial association or through a deep covenant with another that has been part of our experience. It is important that these corrupt powers be personally and verbally renouncing by the power of the name of Jesus Christ and severed by the shed blood. ....

The behavioral level: Will the temptation, some of the thoughts immediately vanish? No. They will abate more and more. For the thoughts, rebuke them in the name of Jesus and His blood when they arrive. For the behaviors that may accompany them? The following is the only thing that ever profoundly worked for me. I felt the Lord once simply said to me, "Don"t do that". Whatever the behavior was, " Don't Do That." It was the same as a loving parent would instruct a child. Simply, Don't do that. If the idea of that behavior arrived in my mind I now hear the words, "Don't do that." ... I renounce any longer doing that. I hope this helps. Heb.12:5-8

very true Adam. Its true all these things have to pass, once they try for one world religion and bring the beast system with the AC known to all. We will know that our Lord & Savious Yeshua will be the focus. The last 3 years of fear in a unicorn virus has shown many have had to choose and it went either way. The finacial revolution is the test, will people sell out once they can no longer buy or sell unless tey conform. the war is already been in play, but the physical war is not to fear, the spiritual war is our focus. stay strong brother

    Part 3.

How should Christian treat one another?

We are to be at peace with one another, forgive one another, have mercy on one another.

    Just a few references.

    1 Thessalonians 4:9

    Ephesians 4:32

    Galatians 5:26

    Galatians 6:2

    Matthew 7:12

    1 John 4:7

However, we don't lie or deceive one another for the sake of peace. The truth hurts sometimes but it promotes spiritual growth providing that the Christ spirit is in the person.

    BELEIVERS SHUNNING OTHER BELEIVERS.

To shun is to deliberately avoid something or someone. In the Bible, the word shun is applied to evil. Job 1:8, Job 28:28, Proverbs 3:7-8 Proverbs 14:16. So, shunning evil is good.

There is scripture that promotes excommunication. Matthew 18:15-17; 2 Thessalonians 3:14. but do we do it for harm or Good? What's the intent?

In any case, it would seem that extreme forms of shunning, such as considering someone "dead," utterly ignoring him, or refusing to acknowledge his existence, go beyond what Scripture commands.

After all, Jesus said that, when someone is put out of the church, he should be treated as "a pagan or a tax collector" Matthew 18:17. In other words, treat an intractable offender as an unsaved person.

How are we to treat the unsaved? With love and grace.

The "pagans and tax collectors" need to be evangelized. We are to love even our enemies ( Matthew 5:44).

The goal of excommunication and any form of shunning is restoration ( Galatians 6:1).

The purpose of any type of discipline is to prompt repentance and, ultimately, to reunite our fallen brother or sister with the church body. Being officially ostracized from the church, the sinner might be brought to repentance.

When the man in the Corinthian church later realized that he had sinned against God, he repented and came back to the church for forgiveness and reinstatement. Fellowship with the Corinthian believers was restored ( 2 Corinthians 2:6-11).

Isn't it hateful to ignore or shun other believers?

    Part 2.

We are not joined with those outside the body of Christ so, what are we as children of light supposed to do in a lost dark world?

We are to bare light and that light is supposed to shine on Christ.

We are his ambassadors in a foreign land.

We are to display the work of Christ in our lives and the evidence of a new birth bearing fruit. By this all people will know we are his disciples, and the fruit (especially Love for the Brothern) will also Distinguish between a false teaching religion/teachers and spirit filled believers where the spirit gathers and energizes. This is the operation of God by the baptism of the Holy spirit.

SCRIPTURE REFERENCES; John 13:34-35, Matthew 7:16-20. 1 1John 4:20-21, If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

We are to Love the unbeliever, witness to them, and treat them with kindness and help them in a Godly way.

So, in what ways we are not to be unequally yoked with them? Many things can be mentioned but I won't get into that here.

    2 Corinthians 6:14-18.

"The command implies that a great difference exists between a believer and an unbeliever. Generally speaking, the motivations, goals, and methods of a Christian are incompatible with those of an unbeliever.

Faith changes the character of a person. A Christian's highest ambition in life is to glorify the Lord Jesus and please Him in all things; an unbeliever is, at best, indifferent to such goals. "

Again, don't get me wrong here, we are called to minister to them in particular.

That is the Lords Commission. Luke 4:18.

It is our Great Commission to spread the Gospel; Matthew 28:16-20.

We do that with truth! We don't do it with lies and deception.

How should Christian treat one another?

    Hi Jaz

    Part 1

Even though there is a distinction between the children of God and the children of the world the scripture says to be kind to all men. Galatians 6:10.

    However, we're not all Brothern.

John 1:11-12 says "He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the "sons of God, even to them that believe on his name"

Jesus also said in Matthew 12:50 "For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Ephesians 2:19 states Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God.

So, there is a clear distinction in scripture between God's children and those who haven't received him.

1 John 3:9-10 covers this well, "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

"Sons of God" emphasizes a natural, internal relationship with God rather than an external adoption. Becoming God's children involves a real change and transformation, not just a change in title or position. We partake in the divine nature.

All people are not naturally God's children. We must be born again through faith in Christ to become God's children.

    This separates us from Adam.

We are now joint heirs with Christ. Romans 8:14-17 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

    Conclusion.

Ultimately; whether it be Armageddon or the final Great White throne judgment; or the individual demise of every person outside of the faith since Adam fell; the fate of unregenerate man is horrible beyond imagination. The biggest problem is that we don't know who Christ is; the eyes of those under Satan's power are blinded ( 2 Corinthians 4:4). Once we can see clearly we will be on our face; so it is better to do it now than under compulsion at judgment. The righteous also are constrained but by His love to praise and worship the Lord. The Holy Spirit when we are fully surrendered will fill our entire being with praise.

For now; it wouldn't surprise me a bit if an atheist would have less of an issue with say capital punishment as many who call themselves Christian. The Antichrist himself is called the "lawless one" and indeed at least one atheist I met was from a worldly standpoint a very "moral" person. What the law does is serve as a "schoolmaster" ( Gal. 3:24) to bring people to faith.

This explains why it is possible for the vilest sinner (such as possibly occured with Jeffrey Dahmer) to change. As Christians we shouldn't have a double standard we can exact justice to protect the innocent but still have an attitude of unconditional love and forgiveness which wouldn't be comprehended by an atheist.

Anyway another good point is that Christ never said the adage that God helps those who help themselves. If there was any other way certainly God would not have allowed His son to go through the suffering on the cross; or turn His back on Him at that instant of time. This shows sin is DEADLY serious.

Also of course 1 Corinthians 11:30 shows that even God' speople can have a shortened life living in disobedience. God delivered a man over to Satan so that at some point before death he would repent (apparently the man came to his senses and eventually was restored to fellowship). Better to make it to heaven through fire than hell.

Satan's machinations: The spirit realm continued

The enemy of our souls has a problem (actually as sick as he is a lot of issues) but I am focusing on one in particular. He can't stand humans; in reality even those who do his bidding but is out of necessity offering many temporary pleasures to turn men away from God and in reality; of course put people into bondage. Since he can't stand God; Christ or His holiness as well as human beings the last thing he wants is to see someone be drawn to Christ's mercy and salvation through God's love. No doubt that sickens him. Some say his primary motive is to have us in hell with him. Since he hates us already having our company there isn't going to make him feel better; and of course he will be too busy suffering himself to care anyway. It may give him pleasure for now; since he misses out on such suffering until the confinement period of the Millennium is over and the final conflagration occurs; to think of men in constant agony. What he really wants as from the beginning is worship. His motive is simply overthrow of God and heaven which his demented mind still thinks can be attained; but at the same time he probably knows better since his time is short. Daniel 8:10 even seems to suggest he tramples on some of his own demonic horde when cast out of heaven in the Tribulation; likely enraged that they couldn't fight hard enough to keep his position up there any longer.

The whole Satanic mantra (Such as Aleister Crowley's "do as thou wilt") in a nutshell explains all of the enemy's tactics.

The devil only wants to serve himself. He will use his best tool music (read Isaiah 14 or Ezekiel 28) to delude the masses.

He doesn't rule over hell; at least after the cross as souls now go straight to heaven and not remain in the paradise under the earth. His contracts with people can't hold water with the shed blood on the cross of His atonement. 1 Corinthians 15:56; Romans 6:23). Christ conquered sin at Calvary.

Satan's machinations: The soul and the spirit realm

Slavery in all it's ugly reality from the 1800s in particular in the USA is something most citizens in our nation haven't seen in the better part of 200 years. Sadly with the uncontrolled child slave labor and sex slavery today it may be closer to our backyard than we think. The reality of this should teach us a lesson in regard to how we in the spiritual dimension are basically OWNED and controlled by either Satan or Christ. This is how a book like Philemon could be written; it wasn't that cruelty was to be exonerated (as shown by other verses on the subject of slaves and masters) but it was that our spiritual state superceded whatever our earthly position happened to be in a particular time; culture or nation. John 8:33 shows the myopia of the Pharisees stating that they were never slaves despite the obvious biblical precedent from Egypt in particular as well as Babylon to some extent. The bigger problem; of course was being a slave to sin which means a soul is being held captive by Satan. It also means a soul is estranged and in enmity with God ( Romans 5:10). God is merciful and longsuffering; but that doesn't last forever without repentance.

There are many ways Satan will come after our soul but they all pretty much amount to the same thing. There are myriads of other faiths besides Christianity and the true God of the Jews in the Old Testament but they all lack definite assurances of a good afterlife; or any individual that has overcome death. They can only use methods of man in reality; whether war or conquest; philosophy; wisdom; etc. We see the same tactics of cults especially in tandem with polytheistic idol worship; these include "Kundalini" experiences; "sweat lodges"; mushrooms and other psychodelic methods of having a "spiritual" experience.

New Age no doubt uses seduction and enchantments to entice men to commit fornication; along with other "darker" spells to inflict harm.

Satan's machinations: PART TWO (further study on Satan's affect on us as individuals)

Part Two: The battle of the mind.

In my last post; I ran out of space again; but was getting into the verse where Jesus told Satan to get behind him when Peter was stating that basically going to the cross was not fit for Jesus to do. This shows how Christ expects us as His disciples to rely totally on the Spirit to allow the flesh to be dead. Luke 4:8 is the other verse where Jesus says this to Satan after the temptations in the wilderness. We see a difference between Peter then and after Pentecost as Jesus foretold after he denied knowing him. In all fairness since ALL the disciples ran off their fear for their lives superseded their love for Christ. This truly shows how only trust in the Spirit of God will enable us to face death with courage should it be in the time and place God has chosen. As I have said before it is the end of a life of obedience that Christ and in fact all the Disciples except for John met their fate; the spiritual man grows and matures through self denial and service to that point.

Our thought processes are determined merely by our old man at birth. Thus characteristic behaviors and routines develop which tend to linger with us even post salvation. There are; of course the affects of nurturing vs cruel parents; abundance or poverty in youth which the Lord is aware of but also weigh in on the enemy's game plan. Of course with the mind along with everything else the enemy attacks us with the easiest thing to do is be determined to TRUST God and reject any thought which isn't captive to His (God's) will ( 2 Corinthians 10:5); compare with 2 Timothy 2:26. We learn to recognize the enemy's patterns after hopefully only a few similar assaults at our weakest points. We learn to discern the Spirit of God which is outside of self from Satan's devices; which always appeals to the flesh and exalting self. RUN IF IT GOES AGAINST SCRIPTURE!

    Satan's attacks.

Yesterday perhaps the enemy (although I suspect it is my pinkie left finger touching the esc key) caused the first part of what will probably be a lengthy dissertation on Satan's methods to be wiped out. It gave me an opportunity to think about some more stuff today. I thought an outline at present would help; perhaps finding some interest out there to detail a particular area.

Here's a brief summary of what I was starting yesterday.

    1. Self-We are our own worst enemies.

Attacks on emotions; mind and soul (will present scriptures to follow).

I wanted to touch on "presumtion" along with other thought patterns within fallen man that can trip us up as well.

    2. Others-Peer pressure; manipulation; flattery and any wrong done by others. This of course is rarely not associated with our own actions; particularly ruminating and fretting rather than taking things to God in prayer

    3. Spiritual warfare: Again; not isolated but oppression for a believer; possession possible for non believers; and all things in the world system. This would include false religions.

    4. Deception. This may be the most concerning and potent weapon the enemy has. The "Trojan horse" approach allows the enemy in the gate whether it is in our hearts or in a particular local church in general.

General thoughts before we begin the main study.

When we look at the Antichrist (Satan's main exhibit) we see characteristics of a SUBSTITUTE for as well as blatent blasphemy AGAINST the true Christ. The enemy will always work in two ways; either giving us what we want (in reality being void of real substance); OR he will directly cause persecution (usually through people and often in seemingly ordinary events) but at times goes full force. This outward persecution shows that he has failed in deception and therefore we understand why Paul said he thanked God he was worthy to suffer persecution for His Name's sake. God ultimately allows all Satan does

The first man was made a living soul; the last man was made a quickening spirit.

MAN MADE ONLY AS A LIVING SOUL

The Word,GOD Himself,Who is from everlasting to everlasting, self-executing,He has in He Himself the project written since Eternity how to make man in His image, but GOD is Spirit, how could man see the image of His Spirit? It's impossible unless the Spirit be made physically.

The Word-the Word is GOD-GOD is Spirit and a Person,He knew it would be impossible He be known and seen in Spirit, even being a Person in He Himself as Word,so when the time arrived in to make man in His image and likeness, through His invisible Spirit and own Person as manifested Word, two distincts Persons, then He said:Let US make man in OUR image, after our likeness.

The Person of GOD as Word still was in His bosom. The Word had not still been made flesh, then was only a man made of the dust. With the revelation of the Word was given life to the man, through the Word was breathed into the nostrils of man the breath of life; and man became a living soul from the beginning until JESUS.

A MAN MADE AS LIVING SPIRIT-THIS ONLY AFTER JESUS

GOD had planned to make man in His image, but how?once He was Spirit and only One,as whether was alone?First He needed to make an image from He Himself and that's what GOD did with the birth of JESUS.JESUS was born in the turn of the fourth to the fifth Day,in the turn of fourth to the fifth millennium.JESUS was no longer in the bosom of the Father, the Word- Hebrews 1:1-4.

With the birth of JESUS,GOD could fulfill His wonderful promise to make man in His image,a quickning spirit,as planned. From JESUS until now passed more 2000 years,so we are at the turn of the sixth to the seventh and last Day, the Lord's Day,or seventh and last millennium, the millennium of GOD's Kingdom- Revelation 11:15-18,so in fulfillment of what says the Word, the dead shall be raised incorruptible-1 Cor.15:52-, and we that are alive shall be changed- Philippians 3:20-21.
  • Bennymkje - In Reply - 4 days ago
God is the god of the living and Jesus explained that they are in the presence of Him who made man a living soul. So life must be understood as living two words as one. We have spiritual aspects which cannot be seen separate from our physical bodies. At the mount Jesus transfigured before his three disciples. It is a spiritual body. 2 Co.5:1. It is building of God, eternal in heavens so physical death for the living is to be in their glorified bodies. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ.(Ro.8:1).Living or dead they hear. Eye of faith and ear of faith is applied to our inner man. Lazarus heard Jesus and when the last trump is sounded all shall hear. Much of the evil we see in the churches is a lack of appreciation for godliness. Glory of money and celebrity status are all temporary. No man shall continue for long and keep them. They rewarded themselves with 'other man's riches' but shall find to their cost that nothing ever comes free. Satan tempted Jesus with this glory and he refused to take it. Foolish think only of life here and now. Life abundant is living in Christ so death is merely change of vile bodies,-formed out of ground, for spiritual bodies.

    More thoughts on "Prophets" today

The other day I discussed roles of men and women; and showed the case of Miriam and good and bad things about her behavior.

This situation shows how in general how a true Prophet can have certain sins that cause a downfall. Another example is in 1 Kings 13 starting in verse 11. His disobedience in stopping anywhere to eat on his journey back from a prophetic mission cost him his life. This story shows not only his disobedience; but the obstinance of the other prophet who enticed him to eat with him. The Spirit entered him much as it did with Balaam after he accepted the offer with a true word from God (in this case about his demise). We could look at Cephus as another example in John 11:50. So we can see several situations here:

    1. A TRUE Prophet that errs in obedience to God

    2. A FALSE Prophet that the Lord still uses to some extent for His purposes

    3. Someone not designated as a Prophet who still says something to that affect.

We could look at the third example in the case of Pontius Pilate; who put the inscription in Matthew 27:37 on being the King of the Jews. John 19:22 further expounds on this theme in Pilate's declaration that it should stand. Whether his reasonings were mocking; or an honest assesment of his innocence could be questioned-it is clear that he never came to true repentance even if his sins were less serious than those of the others who were complicit or outright demanded he be crucified and a murder (Barabbas) released.

The story of Balaam in Numbers 22 should teach us some object lessons as well. One may assume that his story was an ancient tale and not of any importance today other than looking for false prophecies in general. This isn't true because this man was hired for money and we see evidence in the last days of those looking for "filthy lucre" ( 1 Timothy 3 and a couple other places in the N.T.) To say what a megachurch Pastor wants to hear to draw multitudes occurs today.

The battle of Michael is against three unclean spirits like frogs(why frogs),that FIRST manifest by the MOUTH of the dragon, the MAN Beast like a lamb(a false lamb,a false Jewish messiah- Revelation 13:11 combined with John 5:43-47,actually the MAN of sin,son of perdition)having two horns(i.e. representing two ancient kingdoms),and this false messiah,in fact an esoteric, and kabbalistic, and spiritist messiah, knowledgeable in Torah,a FALSE prophet, and he shall oppose and exalt himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God will be enthroned in the temple of God-the Holy City, showing himself that he is God-2Thesslonians 2:3-4 and 9-12.

The battle also is against the unclean spirit of the Beast of sea having 7 heads,10 horns, and upon his 7 heads a NAME of blaspheme. The false messiah will give to the Beast of sea his Power, and his Throne, and great Authority, hen the false messiah, the dragon-Re.13:11-shall take and link the whole structure around the world(Europe,Asia,Africa,Oceania(Australia),North America, Central America and South America) of the Roman Catholic Church to his body, i.e. the 7 heads of the Beast of sea, a Gentilic Beast, which shall sit on the throne of false messiah in Jerusalem in the FIRST half of the last week, week 70th Daniel 9:24-27.So, as JESUS prophesied, Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled- Luke 21:24.

The false messiah from the tribe of Dan- Genesis 49:17-represents the 10 horns of the dragon's body. The dragon's TAIL-Re.12:4-are all false preachers of the Word of GOD- Isaiah 9:15-16.

14For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world,to gather them to the battle of this great Day of GOD Almighty, the sevenh and last Day,or seventh and last millennium.

GOD is light, and in Him is no darkness at all-1Jo.1:5.The Word is GOD from everlasting to everlasting,self-executing.

The Word of GOD is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a DISCERNER of the THOUGHTS and INTENTS of the heart-the Word is GOD-, neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight:but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we must render an account-Heb.4:12-13.

By the way,Jeremiah says:The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked:who can know it?I the Lord search the heart,I try the reins, even to give every MAN according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings-Jer.17:9-10.

The Word made flesh, the Word is GOD,self-executing,He who calls Himself JESUS,He Himself said:...that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man-Mt.15:11.Death and life are in the power of the tongue-Prov.18:21.

    JESUS said more:Mt.15:18-19:

18But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart;and they defile the man.

19For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, false witness, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, blasphemies:

    For meditation and testify:

Death and life are in the power of the tongue.

We could or can understand that everyone dies through the mouth.

Compare this deep mystery of the death with Romans 3:12-18, combined with James 3:1-12,mainly verses 5to8.

But what does the Word of GOD say?1Cor.15:26->The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. Now, now, the death is an ENEMY,

so we must fight against this ENEMY and be transformed, knowing that the sting of death is sin- Matthew 15:19;the strength of sin is the Law. Yes, transformed and be changed( Philippians 3:20-21),for this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality, understand?

But thanks be to GOD, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

    Adam,

The Bible is not any book on our natural world. Dinosaurs ammonites all have their place. God is a Spirit and God's kingdom has its own rules as there are rules for grammar. Any one who would move in a polite society and wants to be looked up speaks as a cultured well educated person. So don'be drawn by atheists whose little knowledge is from Science that is incomplete. After Galileo they want only proof so they shall keep on driving a square block in round hole. Faith with works is simply trust in our Savior Lord and work as he would want us.

If one has the Son he has the Father as well. So understand the word of God by the indwelling Spirit and it is the only way.

    Hi Karma.

Mathew 18:20 says "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

A relationship with Christ Is not private, but communal, and the center of a person's relationship with Jesus is in the church. (Not necessarily the local Church but in the presence of other believers.

    Read Hebrews 10:16-25.

We are to respond to his invitation and follow Jesus' example of how to live and treat others, giving him first place in your daily life.

A Desciples is someone who follows one's teachings.

In our rebirth Christ gave us his Spirit to guide us out of darkness.

Christ is faithful and said he will never leave you so your faith should be in his work on the cross not your baptism.

We pray to God for strength and wisdom and turn from the things that hinder us.

A Christian can not continue in sin!

God is love but he also is a righteous Judge.

    He is rich in mercy forgiving iniquity, transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty;

Our salvation hangs on God's promise once we have believed on his son, Christ Jesus!

Have you truly trusted him in his finish work on the cross?

If so we are persuaded to love his precepts the Brothern.

Keep reading his word and obey him.

    God bless.

It is very important to know who comes first: Michael or JESUS?

    Daniel 12:2

2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

    Paul prophesied: 1Tess.4:15-17

15 We say unto you by the Word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven(from the 3rd heaven,we the believers are still in the 2nd heaven-Eph.1:3-8 combined with Phil.3:20-21)with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of GOD:and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds( Isaiah 60:8, and 1Corinthians 15:51 combined with Phi.3:20-21 and Re.5:8-14), to meet the Lord in the air(in the 3rd heavenly environment-3rd heaven-far above the second heaven- Luke 20:35-36 combined with Mat.25:6): and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (Where?-Re.11:15-18 and 5:10, and Mat.5:5).

    Daniel 12:3

3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. (The stars were made by our GOD since the beginning- Genesis 1:16-made with own light given by GOD for them to shine in heaven(Eph.1:3-8), but the Greater Light is JESUS, and the Lesser Light is the person of the Holy Spirit- John 15:26 and 16:12-15. Take a look).

I probably have mentioned before the elemental aspect of a covenant in regard to Adam and Eve which also holds for all mankind.

Because of Melchizedek apparently there was a historical prescident for true worship among some outside of Israel in ancient days as well. that brings up the idea that with Adam's progeny (from Seth on forward); it is likely that the descendants that became the first patriarchs when man spread to different areas of the earth meant that at the formation of each country there was some elemental truth from scripture; we find this in the symbolism in the Chinese language; as well as other cultures that believe there is a god greater than everytehing even if they don't know who it is. A similar tale of course is a common thread with the flood stories throughout the world; which proves the validity of the flood (Gilgamesh epic and Chinese language symbols once again).

Since God created all men; then of course they have a conscience albeit sometimes seared beyond redemption. God did promise no destruction by a flood for the earth but this earth will be destroyed by fire. What is the driving force behind sin is man's sin NATURE as well as the demons that control the world system in regard to the world; flesh and the Devil or lust of the eyes; pride of life; etc. That's why I say there is more hope for someone who actually desires to worship the Devil than someone who claims to be a "spiritual person" by any other means besides the true Christian faith. People say they aren't really that bad; and so called "white" magic isn't really that bad; or all the humanistic vibes of the New Age. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and therefore by default the fear of hell brings men to consider their ways and often repent.

This brings more responsibility for those who have heard the truth and rejected it; whether it be the cities Christ said were to be punished worse than Sodom or those who have violated their vows to follow Christ.

Dear Brother hello and thank you for your previous messages that I have enjoyed very much . The Body of Christ is made up of very many different people from all countries and cultures and human experience this is reflected in our personalities which are all unique and all loved by our Lord . People are very very different and we all have our own unique way of expressing ourselves based on our personalities and perspectives which are as I said unique . This is a good thing I think . I don't believe that we should try to put ourselves or each other in boxes that give us strict boundaries on how we express ourselves . We already know that we are all Christians on here and therefore living our lives in the love of our Lord .That should be enough to inspire love and respect for each other . To make us all think and speak the same way is making robots and our Lord wants humans . First Corinthians chapter twelve is all about how we are all different and allowed to be so as we have the same Spirit of Truth in us . We can discuss on here as long as there are people to discuss with and if we are unhappy with things as they are then all we have to do is....start a discussion ourselves . Those who wish to join in will and those who don't won't . Discussions need people first and foremost but if the discussion is heated or impolite people may not feel willing or even able to join in . I hope you are not offended by me and my post I want to say what I truly feel but not offend I hope I have done both . Please forgive me if I have failed .

    Hi Boyd,

The name of our Savior, Jesus that means "YHWH saves" Matthew 1:21-23 and Luke 1:31-32 the angel Gabriel told Mary to name the Son of God so that it may be fulfilled that was spoken of the LORD by the prophet Isaiah 7:14. they shall call His name Immanuel meaning God with us, nothing has changed. Jesus comes from the Hebrew word Yehoshua same as Jehoshua or Joshua, the Greek form is Iesous English is before the letter J it was Iesus now Jesus, it is just transliteration or translation from one language to another.

There were many back then with that name but only this Jesus is referred to as Jesus Christ or Christ Jesus, in Hebrew Yehoshua Moshiach, who is the Son of God, Jesus's identity, and His mission that His Father sent Him to do. The name Immanuel means with us is God, the presence of God in His Son that we see in the New Testament not His personal name. Like Jesus told Philip in John 14:7-11.

This is my understanding maybe others will have other comments, pray, and study, truth comes only from the Spirit of truth.

    God bless,

    Mark 14:44-46 "The Kiss"

"And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely./And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him./And they laid their hands on him, and took him."

God is love and it has a token: a sign such as what the Word become flesh indicates by the virgin birth. A kiss is also a token as the Song of Solomon describes the sensation, "Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: For thy love is better than wine. Because of the savour of thy good ointments Thy name is as ointment poured forth, Therefore do the virgins love thee."(The S.1:2-4). All the tokens of love, like overtones in music flow out when love is expressed between Christ and the bride. Fruits of the Spirit are equally felicitous analogy to love of God for Man. Moses expressed it thus: "For my name is in him."(Ex.22:21) Christ earned a name above every other name, which like precious ointment blesses the embrace which not for once but for ever more. "It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;."(Ps.133:2).

Against this we read that Judas kissed his master he was followed by men with murder in their eyes. So Jesus, "Said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?"(v.48)

Psalm 133 compares the blessings come down as a precious ointment so brotherly love is a synonym for unity. When Judas kissed it was pushing the panic button that "And they all forsook him, and fled." Mark mentions of one disciple, "And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him:/And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked"(vv.50-52)

Till May I shall be taking time out so my posts shall be few and far between.

    Texsis,

You are certainly welcome. I am happy that the Lord led me to respond to your post.

We all have some good things to contribute here and we can be prayerful about all that we post.

Some things people post (me included) are encouraging, others make us think hard, others make us search the Scriptures more on a topic, and others can be convicting or make us uncomfortable. We may even be offended by some posts. But if we seek God and His wisdom we will get right direction from Him and help us to take what people write seriously and try to avoid being dismissive.

I work hard at trying to remain objective as well as thinking the best of others, even if I am offended by what someone posts, I certainly try to be open for the input of the Spirit concerning interactions on here.

I am glad you are back on here once again. I have been wondering about you and keeping you in my prayers. It is good to have a sweet sister like you. You bless me, too.

Hello Richard, thank you for all of your good postings on the topics that come to your mind. I can tell that the Holy Spirit is guiding you.

I continue to pray for you and your situation with your parents.

We are knee deep in remodeling the interior of our home since January. Making headway, though The contractor working on our home most days is very good. He did apply for another job last Friday. Not sure if it will pan out or not. We hate to lose him for our remodel and pray that God will lead him in the best way to go. But this morning he was talking to us about his counter offer. The company has not gotten back to him yet so he thinks it may not go through. Needless to say, we are happy that he will stay on with us for now since he told us he may be gone in two weeks if he gets this job.

Please pray for him. We want him to get into a situation that is really good for him and we hope he will be with us to finish this job on our home before he moves on.

    Thank you.

There was a Day when the sons of GOD came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them- Job 1:6.

Now another Day arrived, the Lord's Day,seventh and last Day, seventh and last millennium, again Satan is also among the current sons of GOD( John 1:11-12),but strongly structured, more than in the time of Job,i.e. now he is with 7 heads,10 horns and a terrible TAIL- REVELATION 12:3-4-,it's a world religious MONSTER whose satanic system is established through a false Christianity in seven Continents-Europe,Asia,Africa,Oceania(Australia),North America, America Central and South America(7 regions of the Earth-7 heads of the dragon). His main partner is Catholicism ruled by the MAN Beast of sea,the current guide and leader/ruler of the Roman Catholic Church which rides upon the Beast, followed by Orthodox, and Anglicanism and Protestantism and their respective divisions called denominations and sects and movements gospel.Total adherents to Christianity are currently around 2.5 billion, but Scriptures warned:The Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;Speaking lies in hypocrisy;having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 1Timothy 4:1-2combined with Romans 1:18-25.This is the devilish scenary of the 7 heads of the Devil, the red Dragon.

But there is also the religious esoteric, and kabbalistic, and spiritist Judaism, practiced in Israel, represented by ten tribes of the ancient Kingdom of Israel and its 10 Princes, one from each tribe. The MAN of sin,son of perdition,is from one of the 10 tribes,he should be of the tribe of Dan,and he is the little horn, the ileventh horn, which will manifest himself as Messiah,AN IMPOSTER- John 5:43-47 combined with Re.13:11,and will enthrone himself in Jerusalem. The next Pope to be elected in this current year, he will sit in the throne of the Messiah in Jerusalem-Re.13:2-first half of the last week, week 70th Dan.9:24-27

    Get ready

Absolutely, All glory definitely should go to God.! Your right, I should have asked Gigi & normally I would yet I had just finished reading your responses to another & felt led to ask you. I greatly appreciate your response. If speaking to others about His word I believe we are to pray & God will guide our words, otherwise we, as mere humans, could say the wrong thing at wrong time. Been there done that. Not a good idea.

What we do, especially before being saved, is all forgiven & He won't hold against us. All we go through strengthens us as we grow wiser in His word & for His purpose to lead others to Christ. Believers are guided by His spirit to speak His truth. That's His will for all.!

So if He's calling you to do so please, don't be ashamed/worried what others will think or do. He is the one we are to fear. I regret one time He led me to talk to a lady & I shrugged it off. She passed away 3-4 days later. Now, when He leads me (especially w/my dreams) I follow through. Then I'm amazed by His work when 'said person' starts to change. Praise God.!

Yet at work, I always speak in a way they know I'm a believer. i.e., saying Lord willing, God forbid, Jesus help me or even tell them "I will pray for you" or even wearing my TCU hat while driving the company truck (I live in midst of Mormons).! They are all seeds, God sows in His time.! Plus, I don't get involved in idol gossip & won't lie. I think you definitely have a God given talent & are blessed. Thnx again
