The destruction of 200,000,000 demonic horses appears to be a one on one attack as even with world populations today; it would only be a handful of people who would die from each horse if say 5 billion remain after the 1/4 die in the seal judgments and other events. Those who purport such an event to be a worldwide war should consider this. We see no mention of earthly armies involved even in resisting these creatures; but along with the 5th Trumpet it is rather mysterious how such judgment would end.
It certainly is likely that Satan has ultimate control over all these events which God allows; thus perhaps he does have some sort of temporary control over ending these punishments from the underworld. We simply don't have that information so it is conjecture it appears. Again; we are left with the conundrum as to whether this should be interpreted as 1/3 of the world at large or a judgment confined to 1/3 of the world's surface. Judging by the following Armageddon event we could surmise that this would help to eliminate many nations so that those "of the East" (presumably the far east as it mentions the rising sun such as China and Japan) can begin their transport across a newly dried out Euphrates. The horses indicate no ocean trip.There is much controversy over the drying out NOW of the Euphrates. Some of what is going on currently is related to dams and such. No doubt the intense worldwide droughts at the Tribulation will cause this as well. As for now there is no clearly substantiated news reports of the strange events that are rumored to occur.
When we note the RESPONSE after these horrific judgments; we see nothing but intensification of sin. Verse 20 of Revelation 9 states:
20Now the rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the works of their hands. They did not stop worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk.
Revelation 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
This verse encapsulates what is going on in the second and third seals in what is the FOURTH seal. It adds the detail "beasts of the earth" which has been interpreted in two ways; animals or possibly plagues causes by animals. In any event the end result is one fourth of the earth dying. The question here is whether that means one quarter of the entire earth as a WHOLE; or a judgment confined to a quarter of the earth. If it is the latter it could mean that destruction was in that region and perhaps leaves room for SOME surviving it. That principle could of course occur in the world at large; but again not nit picking too much it will bring for most under their influence a fate of death by one or more of these means and hence be unprecedented in casualties.
There are some who have stated that this primarily is a racial type of conflict or focusing on one on one combat. We don't see territories mentioned or armies; weapons; etc. If there is that type of conflict; no doubt it would simply aid the Antichrist Beast to consolidate his efforts for worldwide power and domination. Psalm 83 is one possibility of what will be in the early Tribulation when Israel's IMMEDIATE neighbors are obliterated. Zepheniah 2:4 says For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up. Logically speaking; Antichrist will have to appear to protect Israel for the first half of the Tribulation; or the temple sacrifices; preaching of the two prophets; etc will not be able to occur. We also see his primary goal is to have worship from the whole earth and also economic control. For a time Revelation 13 shows worldwide control.
Revelation series focusing on God's destruction rather than those of the world's armies: SEALS 2-4
INTRODUCTION
I am going to continue with the second through the fourth seal of Revelation here. My purpose is not to nit pick about every time death occurs because of man's weapons of war or whether it is by other means. The overall emphasis is to show how all the future events are ultimately controlled by the Lord and in a sense "choreographed" that way. Indeed; whatever the means surely the time of Jacob's trouble will be like no other in terms of the level of destruction on the earth. ( Jeremiah 30:7; Matt. 24:21).
Since this is the case; we can't just look at statistics here to determine how awful things will be. That is clear from seeing that just EIGHT souls were saved on Noah's ark. Clearly there are many more than that; albeit a small percent of the earth at large that survives to repopulate in the Millennium. The demonic release "en masse" from the bottomless pit and probably other places in the underworld is what makes it so horrible as they will clearly be tormenting men by the 5th Trumpet. The giant hybrids of Noah's day were destroyed but we never saw a time of such horrible devastation by agents of evil as is to come.
War famine and pestilence
Deuteronomy 32:24-25 states: I will send wasting famine against them, consuming pestilence and deadly plague;
I will send against them the fangs of wild beasts, the venom of vipers that glide in the dust.
25 In the street the sword will make them childless; in their homes terror will reign.
These themes of war; famine and pestilence are rife throughout the Old Testament in Ezekiel; and several passages in Jeremiah along with the solemn warnings of Matthew 24 and of course Revelation which we are discussing now. (also see Luke 21:11).
God has judged this way as we see from the passages in Jeremiah in the past in order to take vengeance on the idolatry of Israel. The same thing will happen again.

v.10 "And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place." St Mark also designates the twelve as the associates so the principle of Association is stated indirectly. Those who rejected them was tantamount to reject him who sent them.(v.11a) Compare Matt.10:40; Luke 10:16. The cities stood in judgment and were not part of the house. This explains that Jesus was not aware of the fate of John the Baptist, who would remain within as Erasmus would not join with Luther when broke away from the Mother Church.In his case it did not work, either. Within a century of his death religious wars broke out widening the rift farther. Honor of Herod, the unclean spirit was working among princes of the church. Both Calvin and Luther were not behind in their maneuvering.
v.31 "And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while." Jesus had no interest in news of the day and it was no different than what we hear these days. Dog eats dog and ungodly men make a mountain of molehill of them. Their conspiracy theories are ropes they hang themselves with. So Jesus took them apart after they had completed their mission.
vv.39-40 " And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass./ And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties".In the multiplying of loaves those who present were to form file and rank and the order within the house speak of worship with a sober mind and peace. Peace of God is the characteristic of the house where they lodged. Rumors of war, accidents famine plagues that assail us from news media tells the world where Satan has them in thrall and what does he flash before their eyes? Honor of a Herod and worth is it? By not giving glory an angel would strike him instantly. What price was his glory? (Ac.12:22-23)
v.46 " And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray."
"And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years," The Spirit gives us when it comes to the healing of the daughter of Jairus and the woman with an issue of blood the number in terms of years in both cases.
In the previous post we covered the Command number 12 being assigned to the gospel whether in heaven or on the earth. For this reason the Spirit refers to the everlasting gospel. The spiritual significance of the gospel is set in terms of man. In the case of Noah we have this rule:"And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years."(Ge.6:3) Life of The two who stood in need of healing was set in context of the word of God. By the same token having decreed a day for the Son (Ps.2:7-8) the seven 'days' are not days as we normally apply the duration of 24 hours. Instead it is set in the context of the everlasting covenant between God and Man. It is how we approach the entire opening chapter of the Book of Genesis. 'Days' and years" are kangaroo words so we are warned to look beyond the chronological time. We are considering the word as eternal and his promises are yea in his Son.
The woman with the issue of blood came where Jesus was present in order to get the healing. He was in a throng did not stop her, She herself thought of a way and "She said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole./ And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague./ And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?"(vv.28-30) She was a pioneer for this reason. We read in 6:56 the sick touching the hem.
You asked this about the Apocrypha: "So if it wasn't "God inspired," how did it manage to remain between the Testaments for 270+ years?" Why the Apocrypha was included in the KJV until 1885 is a kind of mystery but it shouldn't be a cause to believe in this book as Holy Ghost inspired. What matters is this book contains some very serious false doctrines which proves it is not Holy Ghost inspired.
In 2nd Maccabees 12: 40-43 it gives credence in giving prayers and alms so that the dead can be forgiven and eventually go to heaven. After a major battle during the preparation for burial of soldiers who had died, it was discovered that each of them was wearing amulets of devotion to pagan gods under their clothes which was sin: "Then under the tunic of each one of the dead, they found sacred tokens of the idols of Jamnia, which the law forbids the Jews to wear. And it became clear to all that this was the reason these men had fallen. So they all blessed the ways of the Lord, the righteous Judge, who reveals the things that are hidden; and they turned to supplication, praying that the sin that had been committed might be wholly blotted out,"
In Baruch 3:4 it teaches that the dead can pray for themselves to eventually go to heaven. "O Lord Almighty, thou God of Israel, hear now the prayers of the dead Israelites, and of their children, which have sinned before thee, and not hearkened unto the voice of thee their God: for the which cause these plagues cleave unto us.
In Tobit 9:12 it claims that alms can purge away sin. "For alms doth deliver from death, and shall purge away all sin. Those that exercise alms and righteousness shall be filled with life:"
So whether we can give a precise reason why God allowed the Apocrypha to be included in the KJB for a time or not, it is a book to be avoided by true believers. God Bless :)
The '1260 days' is a tag supplied the Spirit to indicate the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ. By the same token the Gentiles are allowed to operate for 42 months. The 42 months' similarly is a tag. In an earlier post we saw 'the hour" during which the power of darkness prevailing over the children of disobedience. ( Luke 22:53). The beast as well as the enemies to Jesus who took him in the night belonged to the son of perdition. Judas Iscariot belonged to this group. This conflict reveals two laws, of the Spirit and of the sin.
Let us look at the characteristics of the two witnesses. They are representatives of several prophets coming under the earthly ministry of Jesus who is the fulfillment of the law. They were "clothed in sackcloth'. It echoes the mourning of Daniel for three weeks,"(Dan.10:2-3)
"And have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will." This recalls to us the seven plagues of Egypt" and of Elijah, "These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy." In short these two witnesses present a composite picture of heroes of faith(He.11:33-38)
On the flip side the number 42 months gives the beast who is a composite figure. John the Baptist was beheaded under a Herod and we have the beast in the Acts of the Apostles, "Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church./And he killed James the brother of John with the sword./And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also."(Ac.12:1-3)
Finally " Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein." This temple is not anything extant but what was founded on Zion. (1s.28:16) We see its culmination in Re.21.22-23
And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it./... for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof."
Good question. We are face to a deep and terrible puzzle/enigma. The most important is the Truth. GOD is Truth. The Word is GOD. The Word is from everlasting to everlasting. The GOD's people needs to investigate and seek Truth.

What matters and prevails is the pure Word of GOD. Isaiah 12:3KJV says: Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. (Jo.7:38-> He that believes on me, as the Scripture has said,out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. Compare with John 5:37-47)

God as a jealous God: Looking deeper into the covenant with Israel
All men were created according to God's purposes and therefore are subject to God who is the Lord over the whole earth. Psalm 139 discusses how man was "fearfully and wonderfully made" so therefore before the fall we had the capacity to walk in perfect innocence before the Lord. The capacity or potential for evil and sin was present; however and we see that occurring with Lucifer as well as Adam and Eve in the garden (although with the angelic beings there may have been a longer period of time for their fall). In a sense it "rains upon the just and the unjust" ( Matt. 5:45) so that in this life there is a restraint of judgment on sin.
The Lord chastises all those who are His own; therefore this principle applies to individuals as well as those who were part of those He brought forth in the Exodus up until the Israel of the present day. Being on the side of God as opposed to the pagans doesn't give room for justification of pride; and being a recipient of blessings around us for a season doesn't guarantee our own salvation either ( Romans 9:6-7). This passage shows a bloodline who were in God's geneology didn't guarantee anything either.
Yesterday I considered the incident starting in Numbers 16 with the rebellion of the sons of Korah. Mercifully; there are Psalms from their descendants who survived that seem to bring hope that some were repentant after this terrifying judgment. The complaints the next day after the 250 were sucked down into the earth (which was directed to Moses) of somehow fomenting God's anger resulted in a plague. The incidents of rebellion among the exiles are too many tomention here; it is noteworthy to note that only Joshua and Caleb from that original generation were allowed to cross the Jordan after nearly 40 years wandering around in the desert. Moses surely was a child of God but couldn't make it due to one specific incident striking a stone in anger.
"But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness."
Cormorant according to Easton's Bible dictionary Heb. shalak, "plunging," or "darting down," (the Phalacrocorax carbo), ranked among the "unclean" birds; of the same family group as the pelican. Pelican in the Hebrew Ka'ath is noted for vomiter. " I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert."(Ps.102:6) In the context of Palestine we are looking at 'my sword bathed bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment." As was with the plagues that visited upon the land of Egypt we need see what darting down of pelican does upon the inhabitants, 'the people of my curse.'

He speaks of a Great Tribulation that will come upon not Europe, the Middle East, Israel but the whole World. And the Church at Philadelphia ( our time frame ) has been found faithful. And before all of the Events of the Plagues , Vials, Bowls, calamities even begin in the Book of Revelations. God tells the Church at Philadelphia He has set a Open Door for Them. A Escape Hatch, a Red Sea miracle. And what is that door ? It's called The Rapture. Its amazing to Me how little The Rapture is even being Preached about . Recap: The Spirit placed the tag 3, which is a Command number so the Son in heaven is Three. The Word become flesh is Four. 1260 refers to the earthly ministry of Jesus.
Daniel's vision in Ch.12 gives us two sets of numbers 1260+30 +1290 days. 3X10 determined outpouring of the Holy Spirit to the point of rapture, which concerns the first fruits, the church. Multiples of 10 gives us the abiding life in Christ so every saint redeemed from the earth is led by the Spirit. "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."Ro.8:14)

In the Book of Genesis the seven days accounted for the Everlasting Covenant and the generation of Jesus. The Book of the Revelation reveals the Ancient of days (notice the plural) So we are seeing the day of wrath on the earth and the cusp of the day of regeneration.
The emblem of the slain Lamb was obliquely stated in 'the coat of skins' and in the scapegoat and Paschal lamb but in the last book we have the realities in heaven stretched over the constituted time. So the Lamb worthy to break open the seven seals are set before the foundation of the world. In the Four horsemen riding out in Re. Ch.6 thus gives us a context for all the wars famines plagues, pestilence mentioned in the history of nations. Similarly the red dragon appearing in Ch..12 'sinneth from the beginning'
The book of the Revelation serves as an envoi to the salvation epic. It fits with the narrative mode of 'kangaroo event' (the wilderness wanderings of Israel as kangaroo event for our life as sojourners and pilgrims on the earth.
Unlike the Genesis where generations of heaven and earth refers to' the day' ("that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,"-Ge.2:4) the emphasis is on the testimony of Jesus Christ (1:2) so the throne of God and of the Lamb places the newness of His creation as the proof of the spirit of prophecy. " And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."(Re.19:10)
"He sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John" This angel one of the witnesses in the cloud, probably John or any other in the body of Christ which explains, "thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus". These names are interchangeable. So how we conduct here has serious consequence. "and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent."
Why is it so hard to accept that God in His omniscience had control of the writing, copying and translation of His word from the beginning to be sure we have the finished KJB today being the only infallible truth, the ONLY one written by the Holy Ghost? God is a powerful, almighty God and there is no place with Him for those whose corrupt His Word. Rev. 22:18-19 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."
Just a couple of examples.
Rev. 13: 8 KJB "And I beheld, and heard an ANGEL (my emphasis) flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!"
NIV "As I watched, I heard an EAGLE that was flying in midair call out in a loud voice: "Woe! Woe! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the other three angels!"
Mark 15: 28 NIV omits this verse which speaks of a prophecy of the Messiah being fulfilled by Jesus. This dilutes the deity of Christ.
Luke 4:8 KJB "And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."
NIV Jesus answered, 'It is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.' " Again, dilutes the deity of Christ and His power to rebuke satan.
"if you use them, you trust them to be accurate, even if what they say is different from what God's translation says," All scripture is God breathed" This is circular reasoning. If you use them they must be right and they are right because you use them so they must all be God breathed. "God breathed" is not referring to the 200+ English translations out there. The changes made may be insignificant to you but not to God. Rev 22: 18-19 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." A very profound WARNING. God had His hand in the copying and translating of His Word from the very beginning, to be sure it remained pure, to the time of the finished KJB which He always intended for modern man to have. The authors were directed by the Holy Spirit totally. God's omniscience does this. Rev. 13:8 the KJB talks about an angle, in the NIV the word angle was changed to EAGLE. Luke 4:8 KJB "And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve." NIV "Jesus answered, 'It is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.'" This dilutes the Omnipotent attribute of Christ. Mark 15:28 NIV omits this verse which speaks of a prophecy of the Messiah being fulfilled by Jesus. This, also, dilutes the deity of Christ. There are so, so many more of these examples and they do matter to our understanding of what God's true word teaches us. As believers we must be able to trust the "Inspired Word of God" to the fullest. Reading the TRUE word of God can lead to the salvation of a soul but reading false doctrine certainly won't. Jesus of Nazareth came; in the flesh to fulfill numerous prophecies from the Old Testament of the Messiah to come; yet most didn't believe. This is inclusive of His own family members; the Pharisees and Saducees; and at times attitudes from His own disciples.
Eventually after He was risen the stupor was lifted at least for those who He had called and chosen. (see John 1:11; John 7:4-5).
In assessing the situation with the very real parable of Lazarus and the unnamed rich man; the very clear reality is shown that even if one was to rise from the dead they wouldn't believe ( Luke 16:31). This was proven by the soldiers and the concocted tale of how the body of Christ was stolen while they slept ( Matthew 28:13). It would be expected that the supernatural signs with the sun and moon during the Crucifixion would have been enough to convince everyone what had just happened; but we see similar things during the plagues in Revelation; yet the unregenerate in the end will attempt to fight Christ upon His return after hiding from Him during the sixth seal judgment.
Thus; the Holy Spirit is hidden from the world. Much as Christ's acts were recognized; many would not understand that He was indeed the Son of God. Some; as the Pharisees would blaspheme stating that the source was Beelzebub which prompted the warnings of Mark 3:29. Others such as the crowds being fed or those being healed were caught up with having their stomachs filled or earthly ills relieved; and as we see in Luke 17:11-19 only one of ten lepers comes back to Christ to worship Him after being healed. The rest followed Christ's instructions technically to go show themselves to the priests to affirm healing but weren't giving priority to the Messiah over Levitical law. This speaks to us on how we should not have fear to authenticate what are genuine healings as opposed to false ones which sadly are commonplace today.
Genesis 13:2 is not a proof text for showing godliness leads to wealth. That verse never says that Abraham's possessions were the result of God's blessings for his faithfulness.
In fact, the scripture tells us that Abraham's possessions came as the immediate aftermath of Abraham's deceitful plan in Genesis 12:11-13 and Pharaoh's actions in response in Genesis 12:15-16. Abraham's actions and the possessions obtained as a result were not based on his fear of God, they were based on his fear of man No one should seek riches in this manner. And was Pharoah rich because he was blessed for obedience to God? Abraham himself says Pharaoh had no fear of God. And God was forced by this entire arrangement between Abraham and Pharoah to intervene with plagues to make Pharaoh drive Abraham out of his land to stop Abraham from continuing to enrich himself on the basis of his lie. Absolutely nothing in this entire incident demonstrates that Abraham was doing God's will and being blessed by God as a result. He was clearly being shotsightedly disobedient and was foolishly putting God's real purpose of bringing about a godly seed through Abraham and Sarah in grave danger.
In any case, do not use Genesis 13:12 as a proof text that God blesses our obedience to his calling when it only demostrates God's unearned grace and faithfulness to His purposes despite our disobedience in devising shortsighted plans for gaining wealth apart from God's will.
God did work it out for good by letting Abraham's possessions cause strife with Lot to finally return Abraham to his original calling of separating himself from his relatives. However, Abraham didn't realize God's reason for letting him obtain and keep those possessions until God once again began revealing His plans and purposes to him immediately upon Lot's departure. So God's purposes for letting us have wealth and ours often don't line up and we need to realize earthly wealth is never God's ultimate goal for his children.
we are looking at a vision in Re.4 There we have the command,' Come up hither,' (4:1) We have the heaven the highest heaven and the sea of glass and altar of souls on which the throne is set. The same sea of glass we seen from the POV of Ezekiel who was among the exiles. Now St John is at the eye of level of throne in heaven.
Ezekiel from below sees the same sea of glass, "And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above."(Ez.1:22)
The souls slain for the martyrs are on the earth. They are not ressurected yet. As prayers of saints from the earth reach so the cries of the dead from lower parts reach heaven. Resurrection of the dead are in their order and it is not as you seem to imply.

The Lamb who prevailed upon to open the seals is St John's vision which we have in the Book of Daniel through the eye of OT saints. These are one and the same. Horsemen are color-coded to indicate the judgment so death on a pale horse shall be judged in due time. "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death."(1 Co.15:26)
Inaugural vision where St John sees the risen Christ and the Ancient of Days as one. They are in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks. This is a signal of the last Act in the Salvation 'Drama' where wars (sword),pestilence and plague shall be removed. "and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."(Re.21:4) The Book 'written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals." is both blessings and judgment.
The true gospel is circumscribed by the Bible, alone and in its entirety, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, in its original languages. The King James Version is translated from the oldest and most reliable manuscripts available, and the translators have sought to stick as closely as possible to the original text, which is in stark contrast to the modern translations that use inferior manuscripts and seek to reinterpret the original text and put it in more understandable language. Therefore, the serious Bible student should always carefully check the original languages of Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek using the modern tools that are readily available, such as interlinears and concordances, which are keyed to the KJV.
By definition, any gospel that cites an authority that is outside the 66 books of the Bible, or narrower than the Bible, is false. That includes gospels that look upon other books as divinely inspired or that feature the teachings of those who claim to have received direct revelation from God, whether in a dream or a vision or tongue, as in the tongues described in 1 Corinthians 14.

We interpret the scripture as literal as we can unless prompt by perhaps words that hint not to. such as Revelation 16:13. And I saw three unclean spirits "like frogs" come out of the mouth of the dragon, ( These are not frogs, they are like frogs.)
Often you can go back to the Old Testament or other places for clarity in these symbols. perhaps the second plague that God sent upon Egypt was that of frogs. The Egyptians found the frogs to be so obnoxious that Pharaoh entreated Moses to remove all the frogs. And these frogs covered the whole land.
These evil spirits coming out of the mouth of this unholy trinity may be what is spoken and persuaded of them. look at the preceding verse.
(For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.) "Which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world" means this covers the whole word.
The Bible says to come out from among them and not stay there in 2nd Cor 6:14-18 Many people always want to stay behind to see what happens. Just like Lot's wife, she was told not to turn around to see what happens to Sodom and Gomorrah and she became a pillar of salt. Just like watching a building burn down, many people want to see what happens. Just come out and be separate. People complain about their church and still keep going. Why? Because they were never taught to come out to separate. My parents are a fine example, complain about their church but they do not want to separate.

There are different places in the prophecies that say Christ will pour out the same plagues that were poured out on the Egyptians.

AFTER THE JUDGMENT OF BABYLON- Revelation 19:1-10
1-I heard a great voice of much people in heaven,saying,Alleluia; Salvation,and Glory,and Honour,and Power,unto the Lord our GOD:
2 For true and righteous are His Judgments: for He hath Judged the Great Whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of His servants at her hand.
The destruction of 200,000,000 demonic horses appears to be a one on one attack as even with world populations today; it would only be a handful of people who would die from each horse if say 5 billion remain after the 1/4 die in the seal judgments and other events. Those who purport such an event to be a worldwide war should consider this. We see no mention of earthly armies involved even in resisting these creatures; but along with the 5th Trumpet it is rather mysterious how such judgment would end.
It certainly is likely that Satan has ultimate control over all these events which God allows; thus perhaps he does have some sort of temporary control over ending these punishments from the underworld. We simply don't have that information so it is conjecture it appears. Again; we are left with the conundrum as to whether this should be interpreted as 1/3 of the world at large or a judgment confined to 1/3 of the world's surface. Judging by the following Armageddon event we could surmise that this would help to eliminate many nations so that those "of the East" (presumably the far east as it mentions the rising sun such as China and Japan) can begin their transport across a newly dried out Euphrates. The horses indicate no ocean trip.There is much controversy over the drying out NOW of the Euphrates. Some of what is going on currently is related to dams and such. No doubt the intense worldwide droughts at the Tribulation will cause this as well. As for now there is no clearly substantiated news reports of the strange events that are rumored to occur.
When we note the RESPONSE after these horrific judgments; we see nothing but intensification of sin. Verse 20 of Revelation 9 states:
20Now the rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the works of their hands. They did not stop worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk.
This verse encapsulates what is going on in the second and third seals in what is the FOURTH seal. It adds the detail "beasts of the earth" which has been interpreted in two ways; animals or possibly plagues causes by animals. In any event the end result is one fourth of the earth dying. The question here is whether that means one quarter of the entire earth as a WHOLE; or a judgment confined to a quarter of the earth. If it is the latter it could mean that destruction was in that region and perhaps leaves room for SOME surviving it. That principle could of course occur in the world at large; but again not nit picking too much it will bring for most under their influence a fate of death by one or more of these means and hence be unprecedented in casualties.
There are some who have stated that this primarily is a racial type of conflict or focusing on one on one combat. We don't see territories mentioned or armies; weapons; etc. If there is that type of conflict; no doubt it would simply aid the Antichrist Beast to consolidate his efforts for worldwide power and domination. Psalm 83 is one possibility of what will be in the early Tribulation when Israel's IMMEDIATE neighbors are obliterated. Zepheniah 2:4 says For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up. Logically speaking; Antichrist will have to appear to protect Israel for the first half of the Tribulation; or the temple sacrifices; preaching of the two prophets; etc will not be able to occur. We also see his primary goal is to have worship from the whole earth and also economic control. For a time Revelation 13 shows worldwide control.
INTRODUCTION
I am going to continue with the second through the fourth seal of Revelation here. My purpose is not to nit pick about every time death occurs because of man's weapons of war or whether it is by other means. The overall emphasis is to show how all the future events are ultimately controlled by the Lord and in a sense "choreographed" that way. Indeed; whatever the means surely the time of Jacob's trouble will be like no other in terms of the level of destruction on the earth. ( Jeremiah 30:7; Matt. 24:21).
Since this is the case; we can't just look at statistics here to determine how awful things will be. That is clear from seeing that just EIGHT souls were saved on Noah's ark. Clearly there are many more than that; albeit a small percent of the earth at large that survives to repopulate in the Millennium. The demonic release "en masse" from the bottomless pit and probably other places in the underworld is what makes it so horrible as they will clearly be tormenting men by the 5th Trumpet. The giant hybrids of Noah's day were destroyed but we never saw a time of such horrible devastation by agents of evil as is to come.
War famine and pestilence
Deuteronomy 32:24-25 states: I will send wasting famine against them, consuming pestilence and deadly plague;
I will send against them the fangs of wild beasts, the venom of vipers that glide in the dust.
25 In the street the sword will make them childless; in their homes terror will reign.
These themes of war; famine and pestilence are rife throughout the Old Testament in Ezekiel; and several passages in Jeremiah along with the solemn warnings of Matthew 24 and of course Revelation which we are discussing now. (also see Luke 21:11).
God has judged this way as we see from the passages in Jeremiah in the past in order to take vengeance on the idolatry of Israel. The same thing will happen again.

v.10 "And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place." St Mark also designates the twelve as the associates so the principle of Association is stated indirectly. Those who rejected them was tantamount to reject him who sent them.(v.11a) Compare Matt.10:40; Luke 10:16. The cities stood in judgment and were not part of the house. This explains that Jesus was not aware of the fate of John the Baptist, who would remain within as Erasmus would not join with Luther when broke away from the Mother Church.In his case it did not work, either. Within a century of his death religious wars broke out widening the rift farther. Honor of Herod, the unclean spirit was working among princes of the church. Both Calvin and Luther were not behind in their maneuvering.
v.31 "And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while." Jesus had no interest in news of the day and it was no different than what we hear these days. Dog eats dog and ungodly men make a mountain of molehill of them. Their conspiracy theories are ropes they hang themselves with. So Jesus took them apart after they had completed their mission.
vv.39-40 " And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass./ And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties".In the multiplying of loaves those who present were to form file and rank and the order within the house speak of worship with a sober mind and peace. Peace of God is the characteristic of the house where they lodged. Rumors of war, accidents famine plagues that assail us from news media tells the world where Satan has them in thrall and what does he flash before their eyes? Honor of a Herod and worth is it? By not giving glory an angel would strike him instantly. What price was his glory? (Ac.12:22-23)
v.46 " And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray."
"And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years," The Spirit gives us when it comes to the healing of the daughter of Jairus and the woman with an issue of blood the number in terms of years in both cases.

The spiritual significance of the gospel is set in terms of man. By the same token having decreed a day for the Son (Ps.2:7-8) the seven 'days' are not days as we normally apply the duration of 24 hours. 'Days' and years" are kangaroo words so we are warned to look beyond the chronological time. We are considering the word as eternal and his promises are yea in his Son.
The woman with the issue of blood came where Jesus was present in order to get the healing. He was in a throng did not stop her, She herself thought of a way and "She said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole./ And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague./ And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?"(vv.28-30) She was a pioneer for this reason. We read in 6:56 the sick touching the hem.
You asked this about the Apocrypha: "So if it wasn't "God inspired," how did it manage to remain between the Testaments for 270+ years?" Why the Apocrypha was included in the KJV until 1885 is a kind of mystery but it shouldn't be a cause to believe in this book as Holy Ghost inspired. What matters is this book contains some very serious false doctrines which proves it is not Holy Ghost inspired.
In 2nd Maccabees 12: 40-43 it gives credence in giving prayers and alms so that the dead can be forgiven and eventually go to heaven. After a major battle during the preparation for burial of soldiers who had died, it was discovered that each of them was wearing amulets of devotion to pagan gods under their clothes which was sin: "Then under the tunic of each one of the dead, they found sacred tokens of the idols of Jamnia, which the law forbids the Jews to wear. And it became clear to all that this was the reason these men had fallen. So they all blessed the ways of the Lord, the righteous Judge, who reveals the things that are hidden; and they turned to supplication, praying that the sin that had been committed might be wholly blotted out,"
In Baruch 3:4 it teaches that the dead can pray for themselves to eventually go to heaven. "O Lord Almighty, thou God of Israel, hear now the prayers of the dead Israelites, and of their children, which have sinned before thee, and not hearkened unto the voice of thee their God: for the which cause these plagues cleave unto us.
In Tobit 9:12 it claims that alms can purge away sin. "For alms doth deliver from death, and shall purge away all sin. Those that exercise alms and righteousness shall be filled with life:"
So whether we can give a precise reason why God allowed the Apocrypha to be included in the KJB for a time or not, it is a book to be avoided by true believers. God Bless :)
The '1260 days' is a tag supplied the Spirit to indicate the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ. By the same token the Gentiles are allowed to operate for 42 months. The 42 months' similarly is a tag. In an earlier post we saw 'the hour" during which the power of darkness prevailing over the children of disobedience. ( Luke 22:53). The beast as well as the enemies to Jesus who took him in the night belonged to the son of perdition. Judas Iscariot belonged to this group. This conflict reveals two laws, of the Spirit and of the sin.
Let us look at the characteristics of the two witnesses. They are representatives of several prophets coming under the earthly ministry of Jesus who is the fulfillment of the law. They were "clothed in sackcloth'. It echoes the mourning of Daniel for three weeks,"(Dan.10:2-3)
"And have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will." This recalls to us the seven plagues of Egypt" and of Elijah, "These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy." In short these two witnesses present a composite picture of heroes of faith(He.11:33-38)
On the flip side the number 42 months gives the beast who is a composite figure. John the Baptist was beheaded under a Herod and we have the beast in the Acts of the Apostles, "Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church./And he killed James the brother of John with the sword./And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also."(Ac.12:1-3)
Finally " Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein." This temple is not anything extant but what was founded on Zion. (1s.28:16) We see its culmination in Re.21.22-23
And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it./... for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof."
Good question. We are face to a deep and terrible puzzle/enigma. The most important is the Truth. GOD is Truth. The Word is GOD. The Word is from everlasting to everlasting. The GOD's people needs to investigate and seek Truth.

All men were created according to God's purposes and therefore are subject to God who is the Lord over the whole earth. Psalm 139 discusses how man was "fearfully and wonderfully made" so therefore before the fall we had the capacity to walk in perfect innocence before the Lord. The capacity or potential for evil and sin was present; however and we see that occurring with Lucifer as well as Adam and Eve in the garden (although with the angelic beings there may have been a longer period of time for their fall). In a sense it "rains upon the just and the unjust" ( Matt. 5:45) so that in this life there is a restraint of judgment on sin.
The Lord chastises all those who are His own; therefore this principle applies to individuals as well as those who were part of those He brought forth in the Exodus up until the Israel of the present day. Being on the side of God as opposed to the pagans doesn't give room for justification of pride; and being a recipient of blessings around us for a season doesn't guarantee our own salvation either ( Romans 9:6-7). This passage shows a bloodline who were in God's geneology didn't guarantee anything either.
Yesterday I considered the incident starting in Numbers 16 with the rebellion of the sons of Korah. Mercifully; there are Psalms from their descendants who survived that seem to bring hope that some were repentant after this terrifying judgment. The complaints the next day after the 250 were sucked down into the earth (which was directed to Moses) of somehow fomenting God's anger resulted in a plague. The incidents of rebellion among the exiles are too many tomention here; it is noteworthy to note that only Joshua and Caleb from that original generation were allowed to cross the Jordan after nearly 40 years wandering around in the desert. Moses surely was a child of God but couldn't make it due to one specific incident striking a stone in anger.
"But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness."
Cormorant according to Easton's Bible dictionary Heb. shalak, "plunging," or "darting down," (the Phalacrocorax carbo), ranked among the "unclean" birds; of the same family group as the pelican. Pelican in the Hebrew Ka'ath is noted for vomiter. " I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert."(Ps.102:6) In the context of Palestine we are looking at 'my sword bathed bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment." As was with the plagues that visited upon the land of Egypt we need see what darting down of pelican does upon the inhabitants, 'the people of my curse.'
Owls or ostriches This is supposed to be the Egyptian eagle-owl (Bubo ascalaphus), which frequentls the ruins in Egypt and Palestine. Its notable characteristic is its cry, strident hoots reverberating through desolations can be very unnerving.
Hedgehog or porcupine are known to live in burrows under the ground.
What we witness in the Middle East and the wholesale destruction reminds of nations gone berserk. Nevertheless God is in control.

Daniel's vision in Ch.12 gives us two sets of numbers 1260+30 +1290 days. 3X10 determined outpouring of the Holy Spirit to the point of rapture, which concerns the first fruits, the church. Multiples of 10 gives us the abiding life in Christ so every saint redeemed from the earth is led by the Spirit. "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."Ro.8:14)

In the Book of Genesis the seven days accounted for the Everlasting Covenant and the generation of Jesus. The Book of the Revelation reveals the Ancient of days (notice the plural) So we are seeing the day of wrath on the earth and the cusp of the day of regeneration.
The emblem of the slain Lamb was obliquely stated in 'the coat of skins' and in the scapegoat and Paschal lamb but in the last book we have the realities in heaven stretched over the constituted time. So the Lamb worthy to break open the seven seals are set before the foundation of the world. In the Four horsemen riding out in Re. Ch.6 thus gives us a context for all the wars famines plagues, pestilence mentioned in the history of nations. Similarly the red dragon appearing in Ch..12 'sinneth from the beginning'
The book of the Revelation serves as an envoi to the salvation epic. It fits with the narrative mode of 'kangaroo event' (the wilderness wanderings of Israel as kangaroo event for our life as sojourners and pilgrims on the earth.
Unlike the Genesis where generations of heaven and earth refers to' the day' ("that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,"-Ge.2:4) the emphasis is on the testimony of Jesus Christ (1:2) so the throne of God and of the Lamb places the newness of His creation as the proof of the spirit of prophecy. " And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."(Re.19:10)
"He sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John" This angel one of the witnesses in the cloud, probably John or any other in the body of Christ which explains, "thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus". These names are interchangeable. So how we conduct here has serious consequence. "and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent."

Rev. 13: 8 KJB "And I beheld, and heard an ANGEL (my emphasis) flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!"
NIV "As I watched, I heard an EAGLE that was flying in midair call out in a loud voice: "Woe! Woe! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the other three angels!"
Mark 15: 28 NIV omits this verse which speaks of a prophecy of the Messiah being fulfilled by Jesus. This dilutes the deity of Christ.
Luke 4:8 KJB "And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."
NIV Jesus answered, 'It is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.' " Again, dilutes the deity of Christ and His power to rebuke satan.

Jesus of Nazareth came; in the flesh to fulfill numerous prophecies from the Old Testament of the Messiah to come; yet most didn't believe. This is inclusive of His own family members; the Pharisees and Saducees; and at times attitudes from His own disciples.
Eventually after He was risen the stupor was lifted at least for those who He had called and chosen. (see John 1:11; John 7:4-5).
In assessing the situation with the very real parable of Lazarus and the unnamed rich man; the very clear reality is shown that even if one was to rise from the dead they wouldn't believe ( Luke 16:31). This was proven by the soldiers and the concocted tale of how the body of Christ was stolen while they slept ( Matthew 28:13). It would be expected that the supernatural signs with the sun and moon during the Crucifixion would have been enough to convince everyone what had just happened; but we see similar things during the plagues in Revelation; yet the unregenerate in the end will attempt to fight Christ upon His return after hiding from Him during the sixth seal judgment.
Thus; the Holy Spirit is hidden from the world. Much as Christ's acts were recognized; many would not understand that He was indeed the Son of God. Some; as the Pharisees would blaspheme stating that the source was Beelzebub which prompted the warnings of Mark 3:29. Others such as the crowds being fed or those being healed were caught up with having their stomachs filled or earthly ills relieved; and as we see in Luke 17:11-19 only one of ten lepers comes back to Christ to worship Him after being healed. The rest followed Christ's instructions technically to go show themselves to the priests to affirm healing but weren't giving priority to the Messiah over Levitical law. This speaks to us on how we should not have fear to authenticate what are genuine healings as opposed to false ones which sadly are commonplace today.
In fact, the scripture tells us that Abraham's possessions came as the immediate aftermath of Abraham's deceitful plan in Genesis 12:11-13 and Pharaoh's actions in response in Genesis 12:15-16. Abraham's actions and the possessions obtained as a result were not based on his fear of God, they were based on his fear of man No one should seek riches in this manner. And was Pharoah rich because he was blessed for obedience to God? Abraham himself says Pharaoh had no fear of God. And God was forced by this entire arrangement between Abraham and Pharoah to intervene with plagues to make Pharaoh drive Abraham out of his land to stop Abraham from continuing to enrich himself on the basis of his lie. Absolutely nothing in this entire incident demonstrates that Abraham was doing God's will and being blessed by God as a result. He was clearly being shotsightedly disobedient and was foolishly putting God's real purpose of bringing about a godly seed through Abraham and Sarah in grave danger.
In any case, do not use Genesis 13:12 as a proof text that God blesses our obedience to his calling when it only demostrates God's unearned grace and faithfulness to His purposes despite our disobedience in devising shortsighted plans for gaining wealth apart from God's will.
God did work it out for good by letting Abraham's possessions cause strife with Lot to finally return Abraham to his original calling of separating himself from his relatives. However, Abraham didn't realize God's reason for letting him obtain and keep those possessions until God once again began revealing His plans and purposes to him immediately upon Lot's departure. So God's purposes for letting us have wealth and ours often don't line up and we need to realize earthly wealth is never God's ultimate goal for his children.
we are looking at a vision in Re.4 There we have the command,' Come up hither,' (4:1) We have the heaven the highest heaven and the sea of glass and altar of souls on which the throne is set. The same sea of glass we seen from the POV of Ezekiel who was among the exiles. Now St John is at the eye of level of throne in heaven.
Ezekiel from below sees the same sea of glass, "And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above."(Ez.1:22)
The souls slain for the martyrs are on the earth. They are not ressurected yet. As prayers of saints from the earth reach so the cries of the dead from lower parts reach heaven. Resurrection of the dead are in their order and it is not as you seem to imply.
"And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:"
The Lamb who prevailed upon to open the seals is St John's vision which we have in the Book of Daniel through the eye of OT saints. These are one and the same. Horsemen are color-coded to indicate the judgment so death on a pale horse shall be judged in due time. "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death."(1 Co.15:26)
Inaugural vision where St John sees the risen Christ and the Ancient of Days as one. They are in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks. This is a signal of the last Act in the Salvation 'Drama' where wars (sword),pestilence and plague shall be removed. "and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."(Re.21:4) The Book 'written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals." is both blessings and judgment.
The true gospel is circumscribed by the Bible, alone and in its entirety, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, in its original languages. The King James Version is translated from the oldest and most reliable manuscripts available, and the translators have sought to stick as closely as possible to the original text, which is in stark contrast to the modern translations that use inferior manuscripts and seek to reinterpret the original text and put it in more understandable language. That said, the KJV is far from perfect, it does contain errors, and the KJV translators were heavily influenced by the doctrines of the church, which when viewed from the superior vantage point of our day when we are very near the end of time and God is opening our understanding to many truths that were previously kept sealed ( Daniel 12:4,9), were very often faulty. Therefore, the serious Bible student should always carefully check the original languages of Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek using the modern tools that are readily available, such as interlinears and concordances, which are keyed to the KJV.
By definition, any gospel that cites an authority that is outside the 66 books of the Bible, or narrower than the Bible, is false. That includes gospels that look upon other books as divinely inspired or that feature the teachings of those who claim to have received direct revelation from God, whether in a dream or a vision or tongue, as in the tongues described in 1 Corinthians 14.

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

We interpret the scripture as literal as we can unless prompt by perhaps words that hint not to. such as Revelation 16:13. And I saw three unclean spirits "like frogs" come out of the mouth of the dragon, ( These are not frogs, they are like frogs.)
Often you can go back to the Old Testament or other places for clarity in these symbols. perhaps the second plague that God sent upon Egypt was that of frogs. The Egyptians found the frogs to be so obnoxious that Pharaoh entreated Moses to remove all the frogs. And these frogs covered the whole land.
These evil spirits coming out of the mouth of this unholy trinity may be what is spoken and persuaded of them. look at the preceding verse.
(For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.) "Which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world" means this covers the whole word.

There are different places in the prophecies that say Christ will pour out the same plagues that were poured out on the Egyptians.
But, they want be LITERAL as they were in Egypt.
Hail mingled with fire was one of the plagues in Egypt, as was frogs.

So all these are SYMBOLIC of something that is going to judge God's people, as did the plagues judge the Egyptians.

There is nothing like that (an international jihad day) on the news here, and we are very close to Israel. Definitely a new age in the Middle East (and consequently in the whole world) begins with the slaughter of the Israeli civilians.
