Like Donna, I am asking, praying, seeking for a healing. My fervid prayer is not for me but for my sweet son, Mike, who has become morbidly obese. He has turned 41. i am in great fear for his health. Please pray with me that his appetite will be diminished, that his legs will be able to hold him up to exercise. thank you all.
  • The Healing of the Nations Commentary - in Reply on Isaiah 1
    Revelation 22:2

In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

    >>Wesley's Notes for Revelation 22:2

In the midst of the street - Here is the paradise of God, mentioned: Revelation 2:7, Is the tree of life - Not one tree only, but many. Every month - That is, in inexpressible abundance. The variety, likewise, as well as the abundance of the fruits of the Spirit, may be intimated thereby. And the leaves are for the healing of the nations - For the continuing their health, not the restoring it; for no sickness is there.

    >>People's Bible Notes for Revelation 22:2

In the midst of its street. In the Revised Version this is attached to Revelation 22:1. It is the river of life that runs in the street. On each side of the river, watered by it, stands the tree of life . . . yielded her fruit every month. The thought is that it is always fruitful, not limited to certain seasons of fruit bearing. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. We are not to conclude that there were diseases to be healed, but that in the city were the means which banished disease and death." (Genesis 2:10). Here there is a river, "clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb" (Revelation 22:1) There was a tree of life in Paradise. In the New Jerusalem, on either side of the river stands the tree of life bearing twelve manner of fruits, or rather fruit twelve times a year, every month. The river and the tree are symbols of the life bestowed by the grace of God. The river flows from the throne of God and the Lamb; from the fountain whence life and immortality come. Everything about the tree is healthful. Even the leaves are for the healing of the nations. There is a book, a river and a tree of life. Christ is the life, and all refer in some way to Christ.

I believe that God is already dealing with situation & that He will continue His work in me & heal me. I know I can't erase the past, but God is helping me to deal with it through Christ's love & life in me.

I feel like the Holy Spirit is working on me to have a healthy mind & healthy relationships. My relationship with my daughter & my mum is a lot better lately & I don't feel like I'm preaching to them as much, because this is what caused the problems. My circumstances haven't changed, in fact, my finances have got worse lately, but I trust the Holy Spirit is in the process of dealing with it because I have peace about it. I also believe my negative thoughts are being removed & being replaced with positive ones too. I am beginning to see more good in others rather than focussing on the bad. I know that God is in control & I believe that He works all things for good. I believe that we can do all things through Christ & that God's grace is sufficient for us & He is making all my imperfections perfect one by one that I couldn't do on my own. I wouldn't say that I'm at the point where I welcome problems, but I am definitely more content about them nowadays. Praise God !!!

You say that you want to forgive them & you have done so. Now just let God handle them & continue His work in you & heal you. You can't erase the past but you can cover it with your forgiving spirit & Christ's love & life in you. Read Philippians chapter 4 carefully when you have time. The Apostle Paul was writing to the Church at Philippi & gave them some important advice. Two ladies, Euodias & Syntyche (v2) were at odds with each other & Paul wanted them to 'forgive & forget'. He goes on to give the qualities that Christians should be pursuing for healthy minds & relationships: rejoice in all circumstances (v4); don't be anxious but cast your concerns onto the Lord & leave them with Him - His Peace will then come to you (vv 6,7); remove the sad & ugly thoughts you have & replace them with thoughts that engender purity & loveliness in others - try to see the good in others rather than focussing on the bad (v8); be content with who you are & what you have - God is in control (v11); Paul testified that he could all things & be all things that God wanted him to be only because of Jesus, Who gave him the 'strength' = the will, desire & enabling to override his circumstances, which often were quite terrible. Was Paul perfect in his life? No. Even he confessed that he was weak & could only find his strength in Christ's Grace & Power in his life: 2 Corinthians 12:9, "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." He actually welcomed 'problems', so that he could prove the power & enabling of the risen Christ in his life!

I agree with you that God will oversee and undertake in the return of your health. Cast all your cares and concerns upon Jesus. I pray that your faith in Him to heal, will not be shaken. Start praising Him and give thanksgiving for your help. Many healing scriptures in Proverbs. Speak them out, so your eye gate, ear gate and mouth gate will help your faith be stronger.

Hello, I believe the answer to your first question is 'yes.' Link - The answer to your second question is 'no' in my opinion. If you did nothing wrong and were betrayed, you don't need to apologize for your actions if you did nothing wrong. Forgiveness is different than apologizing for ones bad behavior. Forgiveness is mostly an action within your own heart- to release anger bitterness resentment vengeance and all the toxic feelings someone may carry when wronged. It does you no good and its against God's scripture. Forgiveness can be either in person or not. If the person may put you at physical risk of harm, then in person is not a healthy option. There are other ways to communicate if needed. You can also forgive without communicating. Many people find it helpful to write a letter expressing all your injustices toward the person then symbolically burning it and forgiving them and wiping it clean from your heart and thoughts. This process is in a way like Jesus dying for you and forgiving your sins. God bless!

That was a strong testimony, Whit - thank you. And fortunately, during that spiritual encounter you had on the freeway, you were spared being involved in an accident - must be the Lord's doing indeed!

However, I was concerned with your reference to Deuteronomy 28:7: "The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways." As you know that portion was the LORD's promise to Israel to sustain & protect her providing she served the Lord & kept His commandments. And one of those promises is there in verse 7: protecting her from her enemies, that they might indeed march in closed ranks against her, but when the Lord's Hand comes against them, their fleeing will be totally disorganized as they 'run for their lives' in all directions.

You find this verse applicable to your life, particularly in the appointment by the Lord for your time on Earth. Did you receive this as a Word from God or was it simply you applying it to yourself? I can't change your mind to rethink this matter, but can say that this type of interpretation & application will in all likelihood, fail. And your 'remaining days' may be unnecessarily burdened with thoughts, plans & decisions based on your interpretation, which would grieve me for the outcome of your life on Earth.

My Mother died at age 40 - my Father at age 61. I've always felt that my time would come somewhere in between those years as various factors of health, genes, family history, etc. are taken into account. Now, I have exceeded 61 yrs by 5 yrs & still quite healthy. My calculations failed at that level. "(Our) times are in God's Hand" (Psalms 31:15) & we can't presume to know what God knows & does with us. We are called to be faithful & holy in the new lives He has blessed you & me with & be living testimonies of His Grace to those living in darkness. May the Lord help you in this matter particularly.

Thanks again David for taking the time to answer me & sharing your testimony. That does answer my question except for my assumption from your earlier comments, that you are 'sin free & as such when temptation comes to you, sin cannot take hold'. However, you've clarified that part: "Temptation still exists, but the power of God gives me the ability to say no and not yield to it. However, if I'd ever decide to yield to temptation, I could if I chose to but at the cost of salvation".

So you've now raised a couple of questions in my mind. All of us who are born again & indwelt by the Spirit have the power to say "No" to sin's prodding at our heart's door, but in reality no one, so far whom I've met, has been able to testify that no sin has been able to get through to them. But you say that you remain sinless enjoying perpetual victory. So my questions:

    a. an elementary question first off: is the type of sin that you refer to, the same as is generally understood? By this I mean, sin incorporates much more than what most regard as evil (viz. murder, theft, lying, adultery, etc.). The sins of worry, pride, selfishness, lack of (agape) love or forgiveness, anger, frustration, gossip, coveting, unhealthy thoughts, gluttony, hypocrisy, jealousy, egotistic, self-righteous, hidden sins of the mind, & many more are examples. Praise God if you are able to shun all such sins as well.

Sandra did you have too many cups of coffee this evening?

Do you believe everyone is going to build tribulation bunkers in their back yard when most can barely afford health care or a new pair of shoes?

Do you know the actual cost of 7 years of food?

    Also, when you take the Mark it's either There or it isn't. I would gladly have my head chopped off following Jesus Christ before I would worry about using fake skin etc.. Also you state that it sees all..well obviously, according to you, it would clearly "see" that it has been removed and been placed into a box. Correct? I'm going to go ahead and refrain from any further comments relating to yours other than;

    1. I do believe the Corona Virus was made by mankind, and then gotten released by the Chinese Communist Party leaders and there is no honest reporting in how the corona Virus was released accidental. The matter was released, covered from the world, and even the World Health Organization covered for the C.C.P. leaders. Where did this Corona Virus come from, what countries had the Corona Virus, was this Corona Virus part of Bio-chemical Research Warfare or released to find or do a cure research? The rich and Pharmacy Market are going to profit by getting a successful cure. The C.C.P. had this type of Corona Virus secretly, and in due time it was accidental released with no official civil or legal consequences. This Corona Virus spread world wide, millions have died by a accidental release, the Globalist must be happy the world's population has gone down somewhat. Maybe the Globalist will use Biochemical to depopulate systematic. There are yet 7 vials, bowls or judgements or plagues to come upon this earth ending in Rev..16:17-21; 2. It is written brethren can only be righteous still or holy still in Revelation 22:11; I have never met a holy Christian that claim he or she was perfect, and did not sin anymore. I have heard some Christian talk about love a lot, but they do not love in word or deed. They claim to love God, but they do not obey God. You would think someone that sinned much would love or obey God more.-read Luke 7:40-47; They love to sing songs of love, but they also sing foolish songs or songs that make no sense. Like the words in the song, Friend of Jesus or Friendship with Jesus. People meet in church, in a darken room, with dim lights, shaken their heads with their hair following their head shaken in the same direction. It is like you are in a dim light rock and roll concert, people moving to the flow of the fast music.

Hi Anna, I understand your concern for your granddaughter getting frequent illnesses & being away from home. Legally, she is within her right to do what she decides, but as her grandmother, you certainly can lovingly speak/write to her about your concerns. A vegan diet is not necessarily a bad diet but if she has underlying health problems/allergies, then she really needs to see a doctor & dietitian who would help her to get her bodily functions back to normal. I don't know if she is willing to do this, rather seeing your suggestions as meddling in her affairs. Does she have other family members or friends who could counsel her & give extra support to what you have said to her? Are you too from Queensland or are you living in another State? Is there anyone there who can help her when she returns after her work on the boat?

As I said, legally you can't do much except what I've suggested above. Yet, as in any situation we find ourselves or our loved ones in where there seems no way forward, we have to be cast on the Lord God to help & intervene. Continue to pray for her, commit her safekeeping to the Lord, pray for her health, her safety & her senses, that she will consider her health & the concern she is bringing onto you & others.

Fasting actually has many health benefits. Your body will enter into ketosis that will in a way purify your body and rid it of toxins and will also burn away fat. It also sharpens the mind. People forget this when they're used to having food in their stomach all the time, but when you go without for a couple days you will find extra mental clarity and sharpness. Conventional wisdom only a decade or more ago claimed the opposite, but experts have recently realized the many benefits.

One of the old testament names of GOD is yahweh-rapha meaning "The Lord That Heals You; Exodus 15:26 God heals by preserving health Deuteronomy 8:4 , Advising good nutritional habits and a good lifestyle(ex: 15:26, Leviticus 11,12-14. Through the application of medical treatment Leviticus 5:14. Forgiveness of disease causing sin(num:12:13). and the prayer of faith 5:15(numbers) Some diseases experienced by christians today could be prevented by trusting GOD as Yahweh-Rapha, and allowing him to deal with those things in their lives causing stress anger and worry. (first reference: Exodus 15:26, James 5:14-16, Math 19:14) There is a reference in one of the old testament passages to a certain type of oil, one of the passages i listed. ... however i recently came upon this information looking for healing myself. i can tell you its very detailed in the kjv study bible in the descriptions at the bottom and it has helped me to find more information. The study bible and the description at the bottom has helped me to learn way more. I hope this helps. also id like you to know that some of what you see in the old testament scriptures i quoted dosnt or wont neccessarily apply to you as the situation is different from me to your ordeal i believe. however the information is there and was helpful to me. Most people think the OLD testament is NO MORE since Christ died on the cross. They are mistaken. God didnt come to abolish the laws of moses. only the partition between the jews and gentiles. Hope this helps.
  • Chris - in Reply on Luke 12:10
Hi Joshua. Just to briefly chime in here to lend full agreement & support to what you have declared as this is how I understand the believers' stand before God. The Lord will not draw a (predestined) seeking soul, in his conviction of sin upon hearing the Gospel, his cry out for forgiveness & then receiving confirmation of that redemption with joy, peace & the indwelling of His Spirit, if he then at some future date, decides to reject the Lord & turn back to his old ways. God makes no mistakes in His Call & Confirmation.

If a 'Christian' turns back, it can never be our determination of what sort of experience & spiritual work has been done in that life. God only knows every heart & our 'judgement' can only be based on what our eyes perceive: & that's not a good basis at all. That is why at one's water baptism, one can only be baptized based on the testimony of one's faith, not on the knowledge of the person's heart, mind or his present/future walk with the Lord. If a believer sins or even backslides, the matter is between him & God: for the Spirit's Work in Him to draw him back to spiritual health. We might see a 'Christian' lost into the world, but as said earlier, our perception is not with God's Knowledge; that same 'Christian' may one day return to full faith in a special abundant way.

And to add one more thing: "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved." (Matthew 10:22, 24:13). This is the ultimate test isn't it, as has been proven over the centuries when godly folk, who may not readily agree with our understanding of the doctrines & lessons we discuss here, but who for their love for God through Christ & with a solid unshakeable faith, have gone to their deaths at the stake or the sword. Does it take such an event to convince us of their salvation? Maybe so. Is it even important or right that we do so, as each soul stands or falls depending on what has or has not transpired between him and God?
  • We don39t need the 10 Commandments - in Reply on Psalms 72

The Law was never set up to be followed by man perfectly. That is why atonement (through blood sacrifice) was introduced with and as a part of the Law.

The Law was established as guidelines for proper worship and proper living.

Paul taught in the Synagogues on the Sabbath well after Christ had died.

Peter observed Old Testament Health Laws well after Christ died.

Why would they still be following those Old Testament Laws if ALL LAW was fulfilled through the Grace of Jesus which was based upon His death on the cross?

Jesus is the only Person to have fulfilled ALL the requirements of the Law while He walked upon the earth.

    The rest of us cannot!

The 10 Commandments, including the 4th Commandment, were made for man, "for all time."

Wouldn't that include the present time period?

I do not mean to be offensive, but some of these questions are so random and elementary.

The website has a great Search Engine that I seriously doubt that you utilize for some of your questions.

This website even includes Commentaries by Matthew Henry; if you would learn how to use it.

It has. Quickie link to Google who checks to see what it has for your scripture and verse.

LEARN how to use them. We do not have to answer every question that you pose.

We, all born again people, HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST. We have The Holy Spirit as our Personal Teacher.

You have to initiate a one To one relationship to HIM.

This website gleans posted comments that are alike in subject. Sometimes many; sometimes not. It deserves to be investigated.

We come into relationship to Jesus as milk fed baby Christians. We pour in the daily reading of Gods Word, and we will mature and grow if we do what we know to do.

It's not my responsibility to spoon feed the Bible to you. It's your responsibility to DESIRE the sincere milk of the Bible. Start in 1, 2, 3 John: great orientation books.

Digressing into Genesis theories that are not Biblical is akin to giving a baby a rattlesnake instead of a baby rattle.

We each have to lay down, layer upon layer, of Knowledge. It involves turning the TV OFF, and reading through Books (plural) of the Bible. What's your real life appetite for food?? If you eat junk food mostly, you will grow health problems.

Spiritual food is meant to grow you up into a spiritual giant for the Word of God.

We do not get born again into Jesus knowing all mysteries. You have to work at it: every day. Not just when you feel like it. If your Bible has dust on it, or sits beneath a pile of newspapers and novels, and it's not really talking to your "inner man", there's the problem.

Speed reading is not going to reveal those mysteries you seek.

I read slowly, take a ton of notes, underline things that I want to look into deeper.

It's interesting how you put your faith into flawed humans who have been wrong and lied countless times throughout history. Scientists continue to contradict themselves and reverse their beliefs again and again. Remember when we were 'running out of trees' and the world would end? Remember the growing ozone hole and we were all going to die? Remember when the end of the world was predicted from rising seas and it didn't happen? Remember the Alaska oil spill that was to devastate everything permanently, but instead its totally replinished with abundant wildlife? Remember the advice of eating 3 times a day with a big breakfast and lots of grains and carbs to be 'healthy'? 'Experts' can't even agree on the current virus: they said masks don't work, then they do work, then they sort of work, then they say 198k deaths in the US, but the CDC quietly admitted only 7% of that number actually died from coronavirus as sole cause, but the media and loud people ignore it and keep shouting the bigger number. This is who you put your faith in?

And you believe that your body that has more intelligence and features as a Tesla is just a random explosion from nothing which created something which reproduced with itself then magically made another gender, then magically things to eat 'evolved' at precisely the same time and air and laws of physics invented itself for no reason. Then your body magically had the ability to measure and equalize pH balance, heating/cooling, chemical compound processing, food digestion and utilization, and you have unique fingerprints, and a unique programming code language to describe each part of your body and it will magically heal itself anytime you get cut or injured. And you have hi-res video, audio, surround sound, prewired signals to/from your brain and all body parts. You have features you don't even realize that would be impossible to develop through natural selection, like anti-drowning features.

    All an accident. Yeah, right.

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

Christian Standard Bible: If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you want and it will be done for you.

SO, if your lifestyle pleases God and you live 24/7 for God and you seek first the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33) then above ALL things you will prosper and be in good health. God cannot work with someone luke warm, he will vomit them from him (Revelation 3:16)
