  • Chris on Acts 12:4
This is an often asked question. I then ask:why did God allow bad things to happen to His Son Jesus Christ? And we know that Jesus faced people's anger, hatred, hunger, temptation, misunderstandings, beatings, thorns, spearing and death. If God allowed His only begotten Son to suffer so much, when He did no wrong & without any sin, should we be surprised that we, as good as some might try to be, also suffer? We are all born sinners, even the slightest wrong-doing makes us such. But Jesus did no wrong, even when under severe testing by Satan - yet He suffered. So, the answer is that we all suffer because we are sinners, but now as Christians, we are given His Grace to live above the pain.

Mick, I'll have to reply in a few screens as this site doesn't allow for lengthy replies. First, on 'judging' - One thing I find with many Christians today is that they confuse discernment (a gift of the Holy Spirit given to us to use, when we are converted) with judgment. No, we are not to judge others as to their sins & personal mistakes, but we most certainly are to discern between truth and error, between wrong doctrine and correct doctrine, between true and false - or we will all of course end up on the scrap heap! We have to DISCERN the way of danger from the path of safety in our Christian walk. The Bible is FULL of instruction to us to discern wrong from right!
  • Chris on Revelation 6
It is difficult to forecast what this Corona pandemic will do. It can be equated to other turmoils that have affected & gripped the world in the past (e.g. the W. Wars, other worldwide diseases/plagues, the Great Depression, etc.). Eventually, it will pass as doctors understand this Covid-19 virus better & develop a vaccine, but the longer the pandemic goes on & the resulting deterioration to the economies of the world, then the longer it will take them to pull out of it and get back to normal. All this serves to show us how easily we can get badly affected by such an event & should cause us as Christians to cleave more to the Lord and others to consider his offer of hope & salvation.
  • Mick to Moongold - in Reply on Revelation 3
Even tho a lot of Christians disagree with the Catholic Church practices, recent scandals and all that, they have unwittingly fulfilled a PROPHESY in Luke chapter one. My advice is do not judge!
Luke ch.1 verses 28, 30, the angel told her she was blessed among women.
In verses 46-50 see: Henceforth (from now forward) ALL GENERATIONS SHALL CALL ME BLESSED.
As we all know the Catholics have performed this prophesy. You aren't going to convince a Baptist church to do it; even Assembly of God. We only give The Virgin Mary credit at Christmas. She's in the manger scenes that we buy. How spiritual is that? DONT JUDGE. I got clobbered by the Holy Spirit a couple of times for judging.

Find your favorite preacher on youtube to view some Revelation 12 teaching. You'll have to put the 12 in the search box. My personal favorite on revelation is Oral Roberts. I lived in Tulsa 3 yrs. People there made jokes about him every day mercilessly. One time he said something that caused huge uproar and the Christians said they were going to hide under rocks. Something boiled up in me (Holy Spirit) and I shouted, are you all going to turn on a brother?! Makes me think of apostle Paul. Everybody just kind of melted around a corner. We gotta stick together. (It was Jesus not me.) we don't get to shun...
  • Mickey - in Reply on Genesis 5
All Christians are called to peace. Also, as much as is possible within you be at peace with everyone.
Caution: do not tell little children who ended it. Not till their 30's.
Personally, I think grounds for irreconcilable differences (as per Bible) is adultery (with either sex). and physical battery. I highly reccomend that you should seek Christian counciling first. Sometimes the couple can be reconciled to the marriage.
My personal thought is don't marry unbelievers! God forbid the Jews/Israelites to intermarry with other tribes. He had a good reason for saying that (idolatry).

Remember the old song we sing in church, Nothing But the Blood Of Jesus?
If demons are holding you down and another is holding your mouth shut....all ya got, is your spirit screaming I'm covered with the blood of Jesus!!
It's sorta like fire fire for fire help.
God hears it. You will be released! Hope you never have to use it! Spiritual warfare is very real. Keep your armor on at all times. Baby Christians need much prayer coverage by intercessory prayer Warriors. Jesus is seated at the right hand of God interceding for the saints. (On earth)
Anyone ever see that movie the War Room?'
If you are going to do battle in spiritual warfare, you must be baptized by the Holy Spirit.
  • Ratiocination on 2 Corinthians 4:4
So, um, how many gods do Christians believe in then? Let's count. God the Father: 1. God the Son: 2. God the Holy Spirit: 3. And Satan, The God of This World: 4. Wow! Add a few more, and y'all can begin approaching Hinduism or animism. But your official line is there's only One True God? Still going with that one, yes?

Jesus went to the Cross to graft Jew and Gentile BELIEVERS together. He's gonna deal with bonehead Jews who resist the Holy Spirit. It's prophesy. We don't get to be the scripture cops.
Your knowledge is so valuable to baby Christians and people who don't know how to get saved. They're in this room seeking help; direction. They could be on a death bed with corona virus? They need to know they can still be saved. You explain to me what is the FRUIT of the Holy Spirit?
    How do we edify others?
    Ephesians 4:29, Ephesians 5:9
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus.
He has always been my Teacher, my Comforter, a Light when I get lost, strength when I feel weak. The lifter of my head; so much more. Selah

To Heath>A Christians forever home is in Heaven. If you are going to spend ETERNITY with Jesus, don't you want to get to know Him? What is he like? What He likes? He's the son of God, but he's human too. He had temptations but NEVER sinned. He understands the pits we frequently fall into. Just talk to Him. The Bible is where you will find out these things. Believe me, satan doesn't want you to read it. In the last days of earth, people will be starving for the Word of God (one of Jesus's names).
Everybody goes thru this. We renew our minds in the Bible. Start with John & flip back to Matthew, Mark, Luke. I went through this too :) Turn off all media & music. Ask the Holy Spirit to help U

It doesn't matter if the body is cremated or buried, we get new bodies in heaven, in Nero's circus many Christians were burned, it is the soul that is important
  • Bill on Jude 1
Jude writes so much in so few words. He brings a message of both hope and rebuke. As I read this letter I was impressed by the knowledge of the story of the Exodus his audience must have had. I am impressed that they were most certainly Jewish Christians. Today S I read this letter and apply it to my life I am impressed to listen to the warning about false teachers and their lust for earthly things and pleasures. Today's churches are full of these false teachers. But I am more inspired by the clear teaching of Jude that we are saved by the Father Preserved by Jesus Christ and have hope for the future. The judgement is God's not mine and God alone can judge others. Hold on to the Truth!

Revelation 1:14 - His Jesus HEAD head and his hairs were WHITE white like wool, as WHITE white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15 And his feet like unto fine brass,

Brass is made of copper which is REDDISH GOLDEN, not black as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
The world hates white Christians esp.
Bible book Song of Solomon 5:10 - My beloved is WHITE white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand.

Bible book Lamentations 4:7 - Her Nazarites were purer than snow, they were WHITER whiter than milk, they were more ruddy in body than rubies, their polishing was of sapphire:
  • Adam on Romans 12:2
Some false teachers are telling Christians that it's ok to sin, because they're already written in the book of life and forgiven anyway. That's a deception by the enemy. Here it clearly says DON'T be confirmed to the world. We are not to be of the world, but a contrast to it, a light.
  • Adam on 2 Timothy 1:12
In this world of PC and political shaming and relentless attacks of Christians while somehow being respectful of non-Christian religions, it's not easy to apply this verse. It takes faith.
  • Adam - in Reply on James 2
Satan is the father of lies and he likes to deceive Christians into thinking they don't have to stop sinning, that they can stay in the world and partake of its evil without consequence, because, hey, 'once saved, always saved'. But is that true? Which circumstance is satan more likely behind: that he deceives Christians into avoiding sin and being stronger followers of Jesus than they need to be, or that he deceives Christians into believing their sin doesn't matter and they can enjoy unlimited sinning without consequence? Obviously the latter is the one satan uses to deceive and we hear this even preached in churches. Jesus himself said otherwise: John 14:15
  • Mickey - in Reply on Revelation 1
I'd have to look up some stuff first. Christians face the Bema Seat. We've already been judged. Jesus is our Advocate. Dead to sin, Alive in Christ.
  • Why does God not care Part 2 on Malachi 4
Why does God allow witches, magicians, sorcerers, wizards, and other wicked persons to impersonate Christians, preachers, Jewish priests, and others in trusted positions, allowing them to weary the very flock He entrusted them to shepherd and to serve? These today, being even worse than Eli the priest's sons (I Samuel 2:12-17), and the scribes and Pharisees of Christ's preaching days (Matthew 23:1-3 or Matthew 23 for God, the Son's entire speech). I'm just tired of all of the wicked getting away with doing SO MUCH to the innocent, and for God not revealing to men the truth about grave (but earthly) matters. I'm sick of not being good enough (truly) to get my prayers answered by the LORD God,
  • Lisa M - in Reply on James 2
Our modern day evangelical churches are all preaching we are saved by faith alone and not works. This is not true. The whole theme of the New Testament tells a different story. We must be holy and live righteously. The early Christians taught this and it is everywhere in the scriptures. If our lives look like the rest of the world we are lost.

Yeshua is Lucifer per the Complete (Messianic) Jewish Bible by author David Stern
The MORNING STAR (Lucifer in the KJV) who FELL from heaven is in Isaiah 14 who goes to the pit.
Yeshua is the MORNING STAR of Revelation 22. This is what Messianic Jews teach and believe
according to the Complete Jewish Bible by David Stern a messianic Jew.
messianic Jews why do they HATE the name JESUS?
Why do they refuse to be called Christians?
Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men,
    whereby we must be saved

All people have done wrong and sinned. Those who think Christians are worse are mistaken, because atheists have created more atrocities, like Hitler, Stalin, Mao Zedong. It doesn't mean their religion is to blame though. Christianity teaches to turn the other cheek and to love others. Killing is a violation. Just because someone violates their religion doesn't mean the religion is somehow to blame. I can't play the piano and if I try to play Mozart and do a bad job, does that mean Mozart was a bad composer? The associations are logical fallacies. Also the crusades were mostly Catholic, in certain part of the world that was recently attacked. So, its false to blame all Christians for it.
  • What do I tell people who think Christians are bad because of the crusades?
  • Frank H Sleeper - in Reply on Romans 1
Adam R... The is literally nothing in the Bible that says the sun, stars, universe that rotates around the Earth. When we try to make such claims it makes us Christians look stupid. What it DOES point out is THIS critical fact: The ENTIRE AMAZING Universe was created - and yet God spent his entire Word talking about his Love and Focus on US!! The universe he created only qualified for a few words

THAT'S the perspective. WE are the center of attention of God

Christians do not change their nationality. they were divorced Israel from the beginning.
like the woman at the well.
    John Chapter 4
10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well,...(Jacob's name became ISRAEL)

13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again
Jesus never told her she was not an Israelite

Genesis 3:15 I was taught that Christians will bruise the serpent's head, but am I reading scriptures otherwise?: "Bruise thy head" and "Bruise his heel" There must be new testament prophecy fulfilled regarding Genesis 3:15?

I believe this is in context of Christians being chastised for the wrong doings and it shall be in our bodies upon the earth. Please consider Icor 11:30. This portion is closely related in the context of Pro11:31

Romans were not killing Christians in Paul's day
King James Bible book of John 5:16 - And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
John 7:1 - After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.
Acts 23:12 - And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.
Acts 26:21 - For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.
1 Corinthians 16:22 - If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema (CURSED)
  • Mickey - in Reply on Genesis 1
Paul was killing Christians as a Roman. He killed Stephen. He was also born Jewish. He was very learned too. After Paul's miraculous conversion he tried to connect with the Jews but they might of been wary of his sincerity. It took time. He hit the same wall repeatedly. He went away to ponder and hear from Jesus. After that he began ministry to the Gentiles. I think he had to let his old life go.
Yes Paul killed Jews then Jesus dropped in and said Why are you persecuting Me?! He left Paul in the dark to think about it. Our president has that same carnal problem: you smack me & I smack you back twice. Jesus is Alpha & Omega. Send your email & I'll send a timetable Of Paul to you.

God remains a living God in our daily experiences as He was in David's reign.
Instead of worshipping the Lord as the true temple is our own mind and body to be presented whole inthe presence of the Lord people believe in mere sacrifices. Especially this moment of Corona virus and locust we need to prepare as Christians.
