    Friend,

You says, Paul was an exception to the rule? Would you please prove this by the Scriptures.

You says, Jesus comes into my heart, should be taken figuratively? 1Cor 3:16,17 2Cor 13:5 Col 1:27 Ephesians 2:22 Where else could He desire to be but within our heart, the seat & center of our very being. Proverbs 4:23 1Samuel 16:17

    You say this sounds strange?

Consider also John 17:21-24 the oneness & unity that God desires to have with His people, this is what God has set His heart on Jeremiah 32:40,41 & made available thru the NC; this is a God, that has said, with all His heart & soul ! Come on; have a little faith.

We're heirs of God & joint heirs of Christ, it is God Himself that is our inheritance Psalms 119:57 Psalms 73:26

You says, not by one staying home & God teaching him. This is exactly what God has done through the spiritual writing of the Quakers, specifically from 1646-1700 through the gifts Christ gave His church; in their writing I discover the intent of God's heart to cleanse one from all sin, & being united with God through Christ, which the Scriptures so manifestly declares & how God accomplishes it. Isa 64:4 1Cor 2:9 Psalms 130:5 I'm talking about that Word that is Rom 10:8 that comes by 10:17 Meaning Christ spiritual appearance within conscience/heart John 1:9 Titus 2:11 Obeying His Father commands 2Cor 4:6 which is the Treasure we have in these earthen vessels. 2Cor 4:7 to know the things that are freely given to us 1Cor 2:12

    Michael:

The serpent has always had legs, the serpent is not a snake.

The serpent is the carnal mind of the beast, MAN.

Revelation 13:18 Here is wisdom ....for it is the number of a MAN

Job 1:17 .....the Lord said to Satan, Whence cometh thou .....from walking (on legs) up and down on the earth

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field God made ...

Psalms 73:22 I was so foolish, and ignorant, I was as a beast before thee.

Romans 8:20 For the creature (man) was made subject to vanity (a carnal mind), NOT WILLINGLY, but by reason of him (God) ......

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman .....enmity between the carnal mind and the bride of Christ ....

Romans 8:7 For the carnal mind is enmity against God .....

God Bless YOU as you study and Christ reveals himself to you.

    Dgjot,

I'm responding to your reply without reading any of the responses, so my thoughts will stay focused. Just incase there's repeating._..

Being you're still alive, it's not final judgement: Matthew 4:17, Acts 17:30, 2Peter 3:9, in context read whole chapter. Psalms 48:14, Proverbs 10:12, Proverbs 13:14, Ezekiel 33:11, Ezekiel 18:32,

it could be warning from GOD: Psalms 118:18,

or attack not from GOD,: Ephesians 6:12,

    Psalms 90,

    Jeremiah 18:8,

    Psalms 37,

You are angry because of injustice it seems: Exodus 21, Exodus 22, Leviticus 20, Numbers 35, Proverbs 8:36, Genesis 18:19, Proverbs 21:3,

    Psalms 73, Jeremiah 27:7-18, Isaiah 58, Isaiah 59, Matthew 25:31-46, James 2,

    Ephesians 6:10-18, Ephesian 4:26, Psalms 82:3, Ecclesiastes 5:8,

    Hopefully these are helpful

    Denise,

You asked "how do I tell a 4 year old" it's best to start simple. I pray GOD give you the words to say. Isabel is aware there is grief, she is already aware of the pain your family is experiencing. Simple words to encourage her & simple truths, without any graphic details may be best. Right now you all are also teaching Isabel, faith, overcoming grief, strength, love, family, & more lessons than you realize.

There will be times as this initial shock has become less, as Isabel gets older you will have moments to talk about this more & it will be moments of teaching, revealing more truth, establishing more trust & healing. Matthew 18:1-14, Psalms 34:18, Psalms 73:26, Revelation 21:4, Psalms 147:3, Psalms 139,

    Dear Sister Jennifer,

So sorry for the loss of your daughter. Please trust in God, read your bible and He will strengthen you, and your faith will grow, and He will give you rest during this time of heavy burden. Here's some bible scripture that you may find comforting:

    Matthew 11:28-30

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

    Psalms 147:3

"He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds."

    Psalms 73:26

"My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever."

    Psalms 34:22

"The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate."

    God Bless.

Psalms 34:18 - The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Psalms 147:3 - He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

1 Peter 5:7 - Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you.

    Isaiah 61:1 - The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives (of sin), and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto your own understanding.

Psalms 73:26 - My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

Psalms 51:17 - The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

2 Corinthians 12:9 - And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Comment: God knows of our pain. Lay your sorrows at his feet. Give yours to Him (speak it), and receive His comfort, joy and healing. Never pick up what you've given to God. It's His now.

The Psalms is divided into five books:

    Book 1: Psalms 1-41

    Book 2: Psalms 42-72

    Book 3: Psalms 73-89

    Book 4: Psalms 90-106

    Book 5: Psalms 107-150

It appears that each of these five books ends with a doxology or a praise, either "Praise the Lord!" or "Amen."

Chris, may the Spirit grace you with the intent of my words, none to be taken as condemnation but edifying. The beast in revelation has so been misunderstood by the teaching of the carnal mind and the doctrines of man. May the Holy Spirit grace us with his words. Job 18:3 Wherefore are we (all mankind) counted as beasts (carnal minded), and reputed vile in your eyes. Psalms 49:20 (carnal) Man that is in honour (pride),and understandeth not (the Spirit), is like a beast that perish (goes to the grave). Psalms 73:22 So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee (Spirit of God). Proverbs 9:1-2 Wisdom (by the Spirit of God) hath builded her house (us), she hath hewn her seven pillars: (vs) 2 She (wisdom) hath killed her beast (carnal mind).... Ecclesiastes 3:18 I said in my heart (mind) concerning the estate of men, that (the Spirit of) God might manifest (grace) them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts. II Peter 2:12 But these (carnal mind) as natural brute beast, made to be taken an destroyed, speak evil of the things they understand not.... Jude 1:10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beast...The only mammal (beast) that buys and sells is a man. Revelation 13:18 Here is wisdom (hath killed her beast). Let him (wisdom) that hath understanding (of the Spirit) count the number of the beast: for it (the beast) is the number of a man (all mankind)....The angel told John not to seal the book. Revelation was just as relevant in Johns (To-day is the day) as it is (To-day is the day). The day (one day) of the Lord that was prophesied by the prophets has been going on now for 2000 years. The beast (all mankind) is judged in Christ ( Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire) and the beast was thrown alive into the lake of fire (Christ), All mankind will eventually be judged in Christ. Gods grace be upon us.

Our Christian walk is step by step - day by day.

There are many good comments by some folks here, so I won't say too much as it would probably be redundant.

I would like to suggest reading Psalm 73 with regards to our worldly enemies who we perceive as getting away with their sins.

"Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end." Psalms 73:17

    Their end is eternal damnation.

    Psalms 73:4 Context

    1(A Psalm of Asaph.)

Who told you it was a psalm of Asaph, I wish to find out who else wrote the psalms and when they were added into the psalms. Were they translated from the original Jewish/Greek text. Who was Asaph.

    This is a sincere request.

Psalms 73:25 "Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon the earth, that I desire beside thee." 28"But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I might declare all thy works." Amen. V.18"Surely didst thou set them in slippery places, thou cast them down into destruction."

After you have read Psalms 37 '. Read then Psalms 73. Two Psalms by two different writers. Same advice given. Then read Psalms116 first few verses.

This verse is a continuation of thoughts from vs.69. In this verse David describe the heart of the wicked as being fat. He acknowledges them as prosperous without discernment. Many times when one lives in pleasure with all this world has to offer, they become dull to the things of God to the point rebellion. They simply have everything they could wish for. One thing that escapes them is the end of it all. Jesus asked the question in Matthew 16: "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul. " My mind goes to Psalms 73 where Asaph wrote concerning the wicked. In verses 1-12 his eyes were on the wicked and their prosperity. In verses 13-16 he had his eyes on self and his problems, however in verses 17-20 His eyes were fixed on God and His truth. He said I verse 17, " until I went into the sanctuary of God then understood I their end. It 's that understanding that drove David to God when the wicked prospered around him and he experienced trials. The law comforted David.
