Good evening, Chris. I find it fascinating that people have such a difficult time with thinking their salvation may not be secure. Answer me this, does God change? Does Jesus change? Does the Holy Spirit change? The answer to all those is no, of course not. Then why would God 'change' His requirements for a relationship with Him? He wouldn't. What is the main difference between the Old and New Testaments? The advent of Christ and His sacrifice on the cross for all mankind, including those who lived prior to His earthly life starting in Bethlehem. While believers in the OT went to Paradise, as opposed to Heaven, they were still God's children and were in Paradise until Christ's crucifixion and resurrection set them free (so to speak) to go to Heaven. All that to say this, do you recall anyone speaking of eternal security for the likes of Abraham, Noah, Moses, Rahab, Seth or David? No, you haven't because it didn't exist even though when they died and went to Paradise, they could never lose their relationship with God and be booted over the chasm to Hades.

So, why all of a sudden with Christ's birth, death, and resurrection, do we suddenly decide that God has provided eternal security for us? If according to Psalms 55:19, 102:27, Daniel 7:14, Malachi 3:6 and Hebrews 1:12, 13:8, God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit do not change, then let's quit convincing ourselves they do. Have a good Thanksgiving and thanks for your time...

PS OT saints got in the book of Life the 'old-fashioned' way, trust and obedience. It works every time. Amen.

Yes we are assigned to wrath...As Jesus said every sinner will have his part in the lake of fire....Which is his baptism of the H.G. and FIRE....The only way his vengence ( his wrath ) can be satisfied is by the lake of fire....His wrath is his love whom the lord loveth he chastens.... Hebrews 12 :8...If ye be without chastisement then are ye bastards and not sons....But we cannot tell ppl we are not assigned to wrath....When ye say things like that you are in essence saying we don't need his baptism of the H.G. AND FIRE...Nor his lake of fire....Jesus said every sinner MUST have his part in the lake of FIRE....Which is his baptism of the H.G. and fire.....Then and only then are we made free from his wrath....YA GOT TO RIGHTY DIVIDE THE WORD OF GOD

Whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire...Our names are written in the book of life when we are baptised with the H.G. and fire...That New BIRTH IS WHEN His wrath is satisfied when we are washed in his blood... That NEW Covenant in his blood is the book of life....Simply b/c he wrote this book with his own blood....

Behold i send the Promise of my father upon you... Luke 24:49...Which was baptism of the H.G. AND FIRE.....The only thing that satisfies his wrath....We cannot do away with his baptism of the H.G. and fire.....Thats y he is saying every sinner has to have his part in the lake of fire....As our God is a consuming fire that has to consume our old evil adamic nature....

Jesus is a man of war...there is vengence in his heart... Psalms 55:21....Thus his wrath....His words were softer then oil but war was in his heart and his words were smother then butter but they were as drawn swords....Thus we see that there is war in his heart...Vengence ...thus wrath....But whom the lord loveth he chastens....Thus his wrath is his love for humanity...But if there was no wrath no, No chastisement then we wd be bastards and not sons... Hebrews 12:10....

But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:15-16. Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Lemme give ya my slant on spritual warfare....Its gonna be with in us in our hearts and minds etc....This Woman in Rev 12 : 5 is the best example of spritual warfare....She is involved in war with satan...the dragon she is symbolic of humanity that is gonna go thru a spritual war....But Her Child which is the H.G. is gonna RULE ALL NATIONS....This is an internal war with in us....All of this is with in us simply b/c of the good seed HIS WORD that is sown in our hearts and minds....There is WAR in Jesus Heart....With Satan the Dragon.... Psalms 55 : 21...His words were smoother then Oil but they were like drawn Swords....His Words were smoother then butter but war was in his Heart....When Jesus will go forth to sow his precious seed in our hearts its gona result in a warfare with Satan....This Rev. 12 is about a war with Satan the Dragon the ( Tare ) that is tormenting her....The Tare and the wheat are within her and are in a warfare...in heavenly places impling in our spirts...We walk in the Flesh but we are gonna war in the spirit.

.....But the Manchild which is the H.G. that results from his good seed sown in our hearts is gonna rule all Nations....Simply b/c he is gonna be born in the hearts of everyman...As Jeremiah saw all men in travail and birth pains... Jeremiah 30:6..Who is my mother he asked them that hears my words and keeps them...His good seed is gona initiate a Birth of Christ in us...But all of this is simply b/c there is war in his heart....The Kingdoms of this world have become the Kingdoms of our lord and his Christ... the Baby the ( Man Child)...The babes and sucklings he mentions that are gonna be born in us an Israel of God...The Kingdom of God has to come via his seeds sown in our hearts....She brought forth a man child the H.G. a Kingdom Child....Unless you receive the Kingdom as lil Child a Spiritual child....Which is our new heart and new spirit...our new innerman....When ya read Rev. 12 remember its all with in us..A war that rages in us.

Brother Adam, two more examples of opposite translations for the same Hebrew word, sheol.

Psalms 31:17 Let me not be ashamed, O Lord; for I have called upon Thee; let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the GRAVE (Heb. sheol).

Psalms 55:15 Let DEATH seize upon them, and let them go down quick into HELL (Heb. sheol), for wickedness is in their dwellings and among them.

Two scriptures about the destination of the wicked; yet one goes to the GRAVE and the other goes to HELL. Both translated from the same word, sheol.

The WAGES of sin is DEATH, when you die you go to the grave (sheol).

Speak these out with confidence every day until they start building you up in your spirit. Memorize some.

Psalms 55:22 - Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

1 Peter 5:7 - Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Philippians 4:6-7 - Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

    James 1:2-4 - My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

Philippians 4:7 - And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Psalms 62:8 - Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God [is] a refuge for us. Selah.

John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Philippians 4:6 - Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Jesus keep this man close to you.

    Mishael.
  • Searching the word SOFT - In Reply on Psalms 91:7 - 3 years ago
    Job 23:16

For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me:

    Job 41:3

Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee?

    Psalms 55:21

The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.

    Psalms 65:10

Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.

    Proverbs 15:1

A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

    Proverbs 25:15

By long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone.

    Isaiah 38:15

What shall I say? he hath both spoken unto me, and himself hath done it: I shall go softly all my years in the bitterness of my soul.

    Matthew 11:8

But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.

    Luke 7:25

But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.

    *********

I didn't find any soft headed people. I'm not sure what that means biblically either.

What version of Bible are you using?

No, wonder David said; I looked to the hill which cometh my help, my help cometh from the Lord. After reading psalms 55. How death was all around him, and he couldn't trust anyone: so he hid himself and prayed too the Lord for help. Even his own son took it upon himself with a few people he convinced that he should be king. What doe a king do?. He pray and when God delivered him. He found out that he had more friends and people that cared about him then he could ever image.God can do anything but fail.

God will never give up on his people; we are selfish and wicked to the core, God have told his people over and over again through his prophets.too repent and and turn back from their wicked ways. That message still hold to this day. Repent and pray and turn back from our wicked way. Reference to psalms 55

    Romans 2:7-8 "eternal life"=entering God's Kingdom. "Indignation and wrath"=eternal damnation=burning in hell.
Proverbs 9:18"But he knows not that the dead are there and that her guests are in the depths of hell:" Proverbs 15:11, 15:24, 27:20, Psalms 55:15, Matthew 23:33, Luke 10:15, Revelations 1:18, etc, etc. Looks like Gods' theology !!!! Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Amen

The walk of the believer is not an easy for many times what we do is misinterpreted and we end up like the psalmist bearing scorn and contempt from others. It 's bad enough when these are directed to us from unbelievers but it has a intense effect when it comes to us from a brother in the faith. Psalms 55 12-14. The psalmist knew this and prays to God in obvious pain experiencing this very thing. One good thing is revealed in this verse is he is able to come to God with a clean conscience. This is a good lesson for us to take note of. Doing right is not always applauded by those looking on. Never the less doing the right thing is always the best, and we let God sort it out.

I would like to focus on verses 23 and 24; Saying But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. Precisely God is looking for a true worshipper in this scenario, who will worship him in Spirit and Truth. So many people believed and worship God, Praising God but they don't know if whom they are worshipping. Here God stated that we must have the qualifications that God wants to see. Verse 24; God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. It is true that God is Spirit that is a fact 1+1=11. Being Spirit, He doesn't have a body, doesn't have a blood, a bone, even flesh meaning God is invisible, we cannot see him but we can feel him. Being He is the TRUTH this is the power of God to forgive on our sins, to save us from our sins without accepting the process of God for salvation then we cannot enter into the Kingdom of God which John 3:5 stated. Unless a man is born of water & of Spirit he cannot enter into God's Kingdom. Because our destiny actually is for damnation in hell, once you died you are already judged ( Hebrews 9:27). And there is NO MORE HOPE for salvation to our SOUL, because we are all BORN SINNERS according to ( Psalms 55:1, Romans 3: 10,23) and the wages of sins is death. We will all die in flesh and some of will all die Spiritually in hell if they dont repent. The only remedy is to accept Jesus Christ in Baptism bacause this is His command before ascending in heaven that he commanded his disciples to baptize all nation in his name ( Acts 2:38-39). That is the reason that God seeketh a TRUE WORSHIPPER WHO WILL WORSHIP HIM WITHOUT SEEING ANYTHING because God is Spirit. God bless you all. Jesus loves us!

According to the word of the LORD the rock from whence we are hewn is a comet( Psalms 18: 12, 13; Daniel 2: 34, 35; Revelation 8: 11; 9: 1 - too many others to mention) that struck the earth in the previous timeline which will occur again in our generation ( Ecclesiastes 1:9, 10; 3: 15; 12: 1-8) the impact of the comet creates an immense pit in the earth ( Isaiah 5: 14; Psalms 55: 23; 94: 14; Jeremiah 48:44; Matthew 12:11; Revelation 11:7; Revelation 20:1). The 144,000 mentioned in Revelation 14 are the ones who escape the effects of the comet impact that destroys all life on earth ( Isaiah 1:9; Ezekiel 12:16).
