Discuss Psalms 35

Whenever I feel oppressed I read this psalm. It gives me great strength in my faith that everything will be alright!!!!

Regardless if you believe in God or not, read this message!



All throughout time, we can see how we have been slowly conditioned coming to this point where we are on the verge of a cashless society. Did you know that Jesus foretold of this event almost 2,000 years ago?



In Revelation 13:16-18, we read,



"He (the false prophet who deceives many by his miracles-- Revelation 19:20) causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.



Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666."



Speaking to the last generation, this could only be speaking of a cashless society. Why's that? Revelation 13:17 states that we cannot buy or sell unless we receive the mark of the beast. If physical money was still in use, we could buy or sell with one another without receiving the mark. This would contradict scripture that states we need the mark to buy or sell!



These verses could not be referring to something purely spiritual as scripture references two physical locations (our right hand or forehead) stating the mark will be on one "OR" the other. If this mark was purely spiritual, it would indicate both places, or one--not one OR the other!



This is where it comes together. It is shocking how accurate the Bible is concerning the implantable RFID microchip. These are notes from a man named Carl Sanders who worked with a team of engineers to help develop this RFID chip:

Psalm 35; once again describes the state of David in distress; trusting God to defend him as well as encouraging those who support his righteous cause (v. 27). Once again; the interplay of the prophetic is so intertwined with David's own experiences and that of the Messiah that it is hard to find examples where one or another can definitively be extricated from the dialogue.

We find examples such as verse 11 discussing false witnesses; and verses 16 through 18 about "hypocritical mockers" and particularly verse 17 about rescuing the "darling" from the lions is definitely directed toward Christ at the crucifixion as seen in Psalm 22:20.

The "Aha, aha" theme is seen in Psalm 40 and 70; and also Ezekiel 36:2 in regard to the capture of the ancient heights from the north in the last days (likely the Golan Heights area).

Whether with an individual or the nation of Israel; God will bring victory for the remnant who are truly faithful according to His many promises. Going back to earlier in the Psalm in verses 5 to 6 we see how the angel of the Lord persecutes the wicked leading them to destruction. We see in 1 Chronicles 21 how an angel was sent to cause wholesale destruction. We do well to heed to the fact that God is in charge of all things; and in a sense creates good and evil for His purposes. Isaiah 45:7 and Amos 3:6 discuss these things; calamity is under God's liimitations. Let us be under chastisement not judgment; and let us fall on the Rock rather than being crushed by it! ( Matt. 21:44).

Psalms 35:13-14

Notice they sought Jesus of Nazareth, the lowly son of the carpenter. The gospel is hid to them that are lost.

Now the name Jesus of Nazareth is the name above all creatures, above all creation. Jesus of Nazareth inscribed above his cross.

Jesus of Nazareth is God.

Also, the scriptures were fulfilled even in the details we miss.

Psalms 27:1-2

1 (A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

Psalms 35:4

"Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt."

Finally, Saul of Tarsus came confronted by the reality of Calvary.

Acts 22:8

"And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest."

John 3: 5-7

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Colossians 2: 12

Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

My interpretation of this scripture is we are fully immersed in water and have shed our old self and are now new in Christ.

Acts 2:38 seems to be the most compelling verse. While I can't go so far as to say it's 'required' for salvation with no exceptions, baptism is emphasized and encouraged so much in the Bible that at bare minimum it's extremely important. So, why a Christ follower would want to follow Christ on everything else, but this, I cannot understand, and in my opinion is risky to disobey Jesus. A Christian or Christ follower puts Christ first and shouldn't be ashamed to follow Christ. I think verses like this are scary: Matthew 10:33. Also: John 14:15, Matthew 10:28. One can presume if we don't obey Jesus then we don't love Jesus, and if we don't love Jesus, should we expect benefits from Him? Matthew 7:21. Some don't fear God, but should. Fearing God is mentioned many times in the Bible, so I believe it, and think that we should really fear his judgment if we are not following Jesus. If we have a pure and clean heart and are genuinely following Jesus I believe we can have confidence and assurance of salvation, but that doesn't give us a license to go out sinning and violating God's moral laws. A lot of people falsely assume they get to cut corners and earn a get out of hell free card while enjoying all the benefits of a worldly, sinful, anti-Christian life, but the Bible already addressed those false assumptions.

I believe so . Though first I think you need to understand what you are being baptized into . Read the Bible , say your prayers , learn exactly what the Gospel is , find a Church and start on the most awesome journey you will ever make . God will take hold of your hand and bring you to Himself . You have to put in a bit of effort first .

The Lord commands us to forgive those who have wronged us, and to love our enemies and bless them. But we have discernment to tell an enemy which will persist until our extinction, and for these, our forgiveness or blessing will never be enough. Sometimes we must call upon God for protection and redress when the matter is a threat to survival. For such a time as this, praying psalm 35 is immediately appropriate.

I forgive all of them who speak bad or evil things to happen to me. I pray that come to know you Lord is Savior and will give them a loving heart and live in peace

Amen, that is awesome. Please keep that daily commitment to God's word and never let up. Years ago, a dear friend and brother in Christ gave me an expensive leather bound bible and inside the front cover he wrote these words:

"This book will keep you from your sin, or, your sin will keep you from this book!"

My soul is committed to read the Bible daily to keep me strong spiritually for without the guidance of God's word man is easily carried away from his presence whereas if we keep his word in our heart we will not sin against Him. To God be the glory always and forever, Amen!

Just a further note: I had given some more examples of Imprecatory Psalms that you could look up, but they were culled, leaving only Psalm 7. So here they are again:

Psalm 55; Psalm 58; Psalm 59; Psalm 69; Psalm 79; Psalm 109; Psalm 137; and Psalm 139.

This Psalm of David is seen as an Imprecatory Psalm. And that means it is written to call upon God to bring down judgement or curses upon one's enemies. There are several Psalms like this; if you read them, you can see a similar thought running through them (e.g. Psalms 7, 55, 58, 59, 69, 79, 109, 137, 139).

It cannot be ascertained the reason for David writing this Psalm; most believe that it was when David was being hunted by Saul & therefore elaborates 1 Samuel chapter 24, & specifically to verse 15. So the imprecation (call for justice) is not against Saul himself, since David had actually spared Saul's life in this incident, but was against those who stirred up Saul to have such a hatred & jealousy against David.

However, others don't see this Psalm as applying to that incident, but to the opposition David received by Ahithophel, or maybe Shimei, or even Mephibosheth's ingratitude or even Absalom's rebellion. Whatever the reason for writing the Psalm, & like many of the Psalms, one can break it down to understand the writer's thoughts & feelings that he experienced in his troubles.

So we see verses 1-10 as David's petition to the Lord for deliverance & bringing down of judgement upon his enemies.

Verses 11-16: David's lamentation over the unjust hatred he receives from his enemies.

Verses 17-28: his further petition to the Lord for deliverance & justice.

And finally, there is always a note of praise & joy in these Psalms, in knowing that the Lord will not withhold His Hand from evil doers.

The Spirit brought me to Psalms 35:9; meditate it over night, having more questions than answers. "my soul shall be joyful in the LORD" no doubt means in the "Word" John 1:1. however "it shall rejoice in his salvation." could mean once we are saved can be rejoice? HOW TRUE? Psalms 35:9 "And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation." My pray is that can some one take me one step further closer to the Lord? Your bible is excellent because it is in both achaic and standard english which others lack.

What god is saying is that we should stand on his word...believing in and having faith in,unwavering, and

living by, and representing his laws and decrees. and as children of god we are to be keepers of his word and teachers of his word, keepers of our brothers, and enforcers of his law ,...declaring and decreeing that a change will come and by the permitted authority to use his almighty power in the mighty name of jesus conquering and

defeating the enemy.

Whenever we become angry, it is one of several indicators that we are not letting go of our own will. There are several indicators that let us know when we haven't given ourselves completely over to Jesus. That we are operating in our own will, instead of God's. Anger is probably the most prevalent of these indicators but there are others. Such things as pride, envy, and worry. Each person must contemplate and discern their own indicators. Knowing the signs of being in our will, instead of God's will, can indeed lead us to where we need to be. Instead of looking at anger and other indicators that we identify, as being a spiritual defect, look at them as tools to use on our journey to become one with Christ.
