    Psalm 20 review.

Verses 1 through 5 in this Psalm show us how God generally hears from His sanctuary and is there for them. Verse 5 describes banners; and given the theme of the other Psalms it is likely that a military campaign and victory from God is seen here. Verse 6 discusses how God's "anointed" will be heard from heaven with the strength of "his right hand". That could more specifically be David; or perhaps his son or any other king.

The trusting in chariots and horses in verse 7 brought the downfall of Solomon later on. 1 Kings 4:26 shows he did this anyway; and the other warnings in scripture such as Deut. 17:16 and 2 Chronicles 1:17 were ignored (not to mention his warning not to marry women who would lead him astray with foreign gods).

David trusted in his own numbers as well as we see in 1 Chronicles chapter 21 (Satan himself motivated him and God allowed it). It is hard to tell the timing of that event if it was before or after this Psalm was written. The last verse asks God to save; but king is not capitalized; so it seems he would be asking the king to respond (which of course would be an admonishment to everyone else when he was king unless it was written beforehand when Saul was king). Perhaps someone can help me clarify that passage.

    Hi May.

Sorry for such a delay, I'm not getting my notices to my email. I think I have som updating to do.

Joy is a fruit of the Spirit, This is to be present in a believers life for the ministry. If a person have this in his life he will be more effectual in his ministry.

John 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

This Joy spoken of here is not what you can manifest on your own.

This comes to a believer abiding in Christ.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. John 15:4.

The Psalmist says in Psalms 20:4-5

we are to have joy in thy salvation.

This reminds me of Romans 8:28-35

This a lot to be joyful about.

However sometimes we will encounter sadness but even in sadness we have joy in Christ!

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5.

    I hope this helps.

    God bless.

Grace is never servient to a formula. Mishael, A subtile twist of the parable of the sower, and you put forth the lie of salvation by works.

In context, the sweetest thing heard by BI was written previously by KingsleyJim.

The preparation of the soil for the seed was not gentle drops of kindness, but instead the turmoil of turning by the plow. In plain words, God only, prepares souls for the word/seed to flourish, not a plan by other people, saved or otherwise. The plowing is sometimes where the shallows are revealed, and also where nearby everpresent thorns take root. The over abundance of seed/word is evident and no "good ground" is missed. Despite the fowls, enough seed is fruitful, and thus harvested.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:22&23 Salvation by good works is iniquity.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. Psalm 20:7 To remember, we must first know God's name/character, and recognize his sovereignty in salvation, specifically ours, and also towards others. Believers serve God, only because he first saved us, not because we "deserve". But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. Romans 5:20 The seed/word of God and grace, the inexhaustable expressions of God. Grace is never servient to a formula.

  • Loving Your Neighbors because God does - In Reply on Psalms 20 - 3 years ago
The most loving thing to do, is to plow that barren field, with the sacrifice of prayer.

Jesus taught parables about farming, to farmers! :) (Also fishermen, tax collectors, etc.)

With sweat and tired muscles, one must plow a field, remove the rocks; and make the field ready to sow seeds (of kindness).

Glean you're scriptures to pray for this neighbor from that. In the righteousness of Jesus, your Savior: command Satan and his demonic workers to "get the hence", from your neighbors life. Go into outer darkness!

"This field, I claim the harvest for Jesus Christ." Do some study on faith scriptures (see your Bible dictionary)

Release prayers of the love of God and Christ, toward your neighbor. Pray to the Lord of the Harvest, to set up a meeting.

Take a package of good, store wrapped cookies (so they will not refuse food from someone they didn't trust previously)

Ask God if He can send an angel over there to bring the neighbor outside. Walk over, saying I cover this meeting with the blood of Jesus; under your breath.

Then just inquire how your neighbor has been coping with sheltering at home so much? Or, I was thinking about how you are doing? I bought myself some cookies and thought I would bring you some too.

You've plowed, sown the seed and chased out the crows...And rained the love of God on your neighbor. You have fully extended the love of Jesus by your work. Expect the harvest. Even if it's not this day, it will happen soon. Let your faith and continued prayers grow.

I pray in Jesus name, that your love will be rewarded... with a new friend.

    Mishael

Jose,To imply that we do not have God's revelation, but instead a corruption of text,is to diminish the power of God to maintain his word.God is not and has never been"long ago and far away",and has revealed who would lie about him and his word.Just like salvation, either you have it now or you don't.Uncertainties about God's word, are most often uncertainties about God himself as Savior.

Most of this World has been given up to the host of heaven.

I have a question about YAHUWEH and YAHUSHUA.

The original scriptures were changed by the Scripes after Babylonian captivity

With the Holy Spirit, from the rafters to the basement; go through everything you have. If He says get rid of it, do it no matter the value of the object. Books, pictures; BURN. Acts 19:19. Those aren't friendly spirits...they are Jesus hating Demons. If they can't be inside you , they will inhabit where they legally have a right. You have some kind of idols, dark music, tshirts, etc. Go back to a Christian church. You need the covering.

Since no one in here believes me, then believe Jeff Fenholt who was lead singer of Black Sabbath. Find his testimony: maybe YouTube or his ministry website Same stuff happened to him.

Everybody else, get RID of horoscope paraphernalia asap. Demons love it

I'm talking about for an hour straight this preacher went on talking about that. Since that day I have had zero fear, but 100% trust in the lord. I do not go to haunted places, have on occasion.. but 90% of what I do is from home, always with 100% respect, in the name of Jesus rebuking those that are negative, malicious, evil and only welcome children from God, the spirits of those that once lived here as I am and have passed. I believe that SOME fear going into the light, maybe they did not live right, maybe they did wrong. I believe, have felt, and have been told by spirits that I have moved them into the light. I truly do believe that Gods Angels protect me. I pray i'm not wrong

Angela,I also have loved God since a child, going to church with my grandmother. Over the years I have not went to church as an adult very often. I do pray almost every night and feel that I have God in my heart. I could be WAY OFF but I honestly feel like It was one of my callings, to reach out to spirits. I also know that it can be dangerous. Once I got scared cause I took a selfie, and in the shower glass door behind me was a face that looked like it had horns. Str8 up looked like the devil. I went to church and the sermon was straight to me, saying things like "i know you may be scared, that the devil is trying to scare you off from doing gods work, but don't stop, have trust in the lord

I started a paranormal group with my brother years ago. I know there are spirits loose on this earth. I have been on many investigations in many different places. It is unbelievable what I have seen, heard, witnessed, & even have felt! I have loved Jesus since I was a small child. Things started happening to me & I felt & heard unexplainable things as a child. My brother witnessed it. So, it made us both curious to seek to find answers. But, after reading in the bible that God is disgusted by people trying to talk to spirits, I stopped completely! Now I wonder if it was the devil, or his demons just playing with us! When I read about the box you have, & what you heard, it was shocking to me

Psalm 20 indeed is a blessing. It shows that the LORD will never fail to answer in the days of our troubles. And how he will defend us from the attacks of the devil. To God be all the praise.

Psalms 20, encourages us believers. To know that even if we're are attacked by the enemy, our God is our defender. And if He is our defender who can fight GOD, the Almighty. Let's be rest assured that He cares for us, no matter what we go through in life, so let's put our full trust in Him in Jesus Name. Amen
