    Amen,

    Psalms 18:32

    Perfect:

without blemish, complete, full, perfect, sincerely ity, sound, without spot, undefiled,

From tamam; entire (literally, figuratively or morally); also (as noun) integrity, truth -- without blemish, complete, full, perfect, sincerely (-ity), sound, without spot, undefiled, upright(-ly),

what is this to those who continue in sin for life, but regarding iniquity in their hearts, & turn from the Grace of God, Rom 8:2 their prayers are not heard Proverbs 28:9 God is not near them & why? They call not upon Him in Truth, & reject the motions of His Spirit to intercede through them, with sighing & groans that cannot be uttered.

Oh, if they would only open the hearts to the Light of the Truth that shines in their heart, "enlighening their darkness" the blessings & goodness that God has instore for them,

(To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of the LORD, who spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: And he said,) I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.

2The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

3I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

4The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.

5The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.

6In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

7Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.

8There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.

9He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.

10And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.

11He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.

12At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.

13The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.

14Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.

15Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.

16He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.

17He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.

    18They prevented me in the

I want you to understand the wicked have no rest because they have unrepeated sins hence they try all they can to find rest

21 There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

    Psalm 18: An overview

This Psalm relates as usual to David's own situation either in regard to victory over Saul's forces but could just as well relate to any enemies or with his own sin; or both. Once again; we go into the theme of David's justification and righteousness resulting in vindication for himself with ultimate destruction of his enemies.

The final verse gives a promise for not only David but to "his seed for evermore". This would indicate the spiritual descendants ultimately; which was procured because of Christ (the anointed One) dying in our place.

We see David lifted in a similar manner to Jonah in verses 3 through 7. (see Jonah 2:6). The dramatic presence of God is also similar to the way with Elijah before the "still small voice" in 1 Kings chapter 19.

Verses 8 through 10 also have similar cross references (see Rev. 19 and Rev. 11:5 in regard to 2 Prophets; 1 Kings 8:12 and Ezekiel 38:22 for verses 12 through 13 and/or 14.

Verses 16 through 32 show how God can preserve the righteous from wrath ( 2 Peter 2:9) or through it. Even death brings ultimate victory for God's people. In this case; however it becomes apparent that David is saved alive; and then is able to take on his enemies in battle.

We see throughout the remainder of the Psalm David's victory over enemies. Basically this is total destruction. Verse 41 can also find cross reference in Micah 3:4 and apparently is in a dozen other verses. There are many more passages including in Psalms where people do cry out and God answers. This shows the state of their hearts; and if they are one of God's children is paramount as to receiving an answer to that petition. We can see a similar story in Psalm 40 with verbage also being similar in regard to the miry clay and being lifted up. We are led here to ponder that a complete view of God as one who we are utterly dependent on yet we can confidently assert that will totally destroy the wicked shows both grace and wrath.

If you're responding to News. Please stop watching news sources. Focus on the Good news, written within scripture: Psalms 37, Galatians 5:16,17,

If you would 1st please consider the way it makes you feel. As you stated "horrified" that's not of GOD. Galatians 5:22-25,

2nd please consider all around you. Is there peace, is there light, anything to be thankful for? Is searching out news also symbolic of wanting to "know" what's happening in the news" Genesis 2:17, Romans 16:19,

3rd consider why there's only bad, horrible, divisive news? Hebrews 6:8, Proverbs 22:5, Why do they report the one horrible thing or person & not the million good? Is it meant to trigger rage? Hebrews 12:1, Luke 6:43-45,

    1John 2:16, Titus 1:15, 2Samuel 22:27, Psalms 18:26, 1John 3:3, 2Peter 3, James 3:17, James 1:27, Philippians 4:8, Romans 8,

    1Corinthians 4:5,

The Word also says: Numbers 11:12, Jude 1,

Hopefully these are helpful & encouraging

    Sister Suze:

Revelation 8:7 And the first angel sounded, And there followed hail mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and a THIRD PART of the trees were burnt up, and all the green grass was burnt up.

Isaiah 28:2 Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one (Christ), which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, and a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to earth with his hand.

Psalms 18:12 At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hailstones and coals of fire.

Psalms 18:13 The LORD also thundered in the heavens (in us), and the Highest gave his voice, hailstones and coals of fire.

Psalms 148:8 Fire, and hail; snow and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word:

Ezekiel 20:47 And say to the forest of the south, hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD God; Behold I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming fire shall not be quenched, and all faces from the north to the south shall be burned therein.

Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

    God Bless you!

It appears Mischil of the family of Heman, Ezraite was the singer/musician. 1Chronicles 2:6, 1Chronicles 6:33,

Psalms 88:1-5, suffering feeling like death draws near him. Crying out to GOD.

    Psalms 88:6,10,11,12 could even be considered prophetic, pointing towards Jesus CHRIST: 1Peter 4:6, 1Peter 3:18, like Psalms 86:13, 2Samuel 22:6, Psalms 18:5, Acts 2:25-36,

Vrs. 14, 15 seem also to be prophetic to Jesus CHRIST the MESSIAH , John 12:23-50,

1Chronicles 15:27, 1Chronicles 15:16-22, these were appointed by King David. Note Chenaniah, was referred to as "master of the song" & 1Chronicles 15:22, "he instructed about the song, because he was skillful" an educated guess could lead to guess it could have been him, if this was a Psalm of David & sang during that time. Nehemiah 12:45,46, indicates plural however. 2Chronicles 35:15, 1Chronicles 9:33-34,

    Roy, Acts 18:28,

1st Paul the one given credit for writing book of Acts was not around Jesus CHRIST during the days before HIS Resurrection, Acts 8, Paul was actually opposed. That might be the past tense reference, if there was any reference to that being past tense at all.

2nd I read Acts 18:28, as a fact that Jesus was Who HE said he was, the same as: is who HE said HE is. In USA I've lived around many dialects of English = in the "deep south" Eastern coast the 1st would make perfect sense to most. English in the deeper South still has many phrases & words used in KJV like 'Breeches' However Michigan area the second way, may be understood better.

3rd Please read the entire Books of Matthew 1, Mark 1, Luke 1, John 1, starting with 1st chapters to see who Jesus CHRIST was & is.

4th maybe most important is the Old Testament points to Jesus being CHRIST all throughout. The same Jesus in the Books of the New Testament. For instance all throughout Psalms points to things Jesus did, & suffered, ' Prophetic fulfillment ' : Psalms 2:6-8, Psalms 8:2, Psalms 27:6, Psalms 16:10, Psalms 18:44, * Psalms 22:1,7,8,14,15,16,17,18,24,27,28,30,31,

    Zechariah 13:6, Isaiah 53,

    Hopefully that helps

Hi Cecil, please read Psalm 37,

I knew a guy named Cecil at Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. He adopted a 6month old baby girl that had been horrificly abused. I read your post several times. I closed the ap. Had to pray a little & think on your post. I haven't heard from our friend Cecil since I was a teenager. The MBAFB shut down shortly after those days & everyone moved away.

Cecil, GOD is Just. Have you heard of Moses? In Genesis, Abraham was promised several amazing things, a son from his 'wife', in their old age, etc. Gen. 12:2,3,7, but also that those heirs would be servant in strange land & afflicted 400 yrs. Genesis 15:12-13, if you read in depth you can find GOD's justice. Genesis 12:10-17, Genesis 16:1-16, Genesis 21:9-19 = it was in Egypt, Abraham's children of Sarah's son Isaac's offspring were afflicted.

Genesis 18, shows great mercy of GOD that if 10 righteous were in that land (Sodom & Gomorrah) it would've been spared. That's his Nephew Lot's friends & family. ?, Right here is proof the GOD interecedes on People's behalf when they obey HIM.

GOD's ways are not our ways, Isaiah 55:8,9,

We cannot blame GOD for wickedness of man = Genesis 6:5-6,

Yet GOD shows us mercy & unimaginable love, John 3:16-17, salvation through sacrifice, Psalms 18:25-27,

GOD is merciful, true & Just. If you read the books that go alongside Isaiah you'll get a clearer picture: 2Chronicles 36, Jeremiah 29, Jeremiah 51, Exodus 22:22, Isaiah 1:17, Isaiah 1:23, Jeremiah 7:6, Jeremiah 22:3, Ezekiel 22:7, Malachi 3:5, Zechariah 7:10, you can start with those verses because that's most of what GOD asked of Israel & Judah. Then please read the Books & chapters.

    Then Babylon: 2Kings 20:12-18,19, Daniel 1, 2Kings 25:8-9, I stopped there because that's enough about the evil.

Hopefully these are helpful if you are trying to search for truth & understanding. You can also ask for wisdom James 1:5-6,21,

    Job 38:1-41, James 4:12,

    * Hebrews 7:25,

Light and darkness cannot occupy the same space. When light enters the darkness has to flee. Jesus is the light of the world, therefore we who have accepted him into our hearts have power over the darkness. Praise God for his mercies forever and ever!
