Well everything had to happened just as it did, so that the scriptues prophecies could be fulfilled. So that the Christians and unbelievers alike can be encouraged that the scriptures are true. And there is hope and God is faithful and merciful to those who believe. It also encourages us to know that God is everything that we need Him to be.

As it was in the bible days so it shall be with us for a time such as this. In other words, we should be modern day wise men. We should always search for Him in every aspect of our lives just as the wise men did. As the bible stated, when the wise men found the place where the baby Jesus was, they came into the house....in other words, they entered into His presence. Oh, glory to God, we have to enter into His presence, for the word says In His presence is fullness of joy and at His right hand is pleasures ever more. You see, in His presence, we allow Him to love on us an us on Him. It 's that place of intimacy. Then the bible tells us that they bowed down and worshiped Him. Yes, you 've guessed it, we are to worship Him and Him only for He is truly worthy!

  • Veneta Tindle on Luke 2 - 10 years ago
I would like to respond to Rickey's remark in Luke2 and Matthew 2 on wise men and shepard's. I think if you read God's word's carefully, that it is speaking of different groups of men.The wise men, we are not told how many, just three gifts, they saw him in a house. Matthew 2:11. The shepards saw him, Luke 2:16 in a manger and he is called babe, Matthew refers to Him as the young child. Something to think about.
  • Janet on Matthew 2 - 10 years ago
What the similarities between Moses and Jesus
  • Christi on Matthew 2 - 10 years ago
Correction - im probably wrong about Jesus not being a baby at the time after I read further. I have just heard this before. I probably need to do further research.
  • Christi on Matthew 2 - 10 years ago
This was not the baby Jesus, but the "child' Jesus. The wise men had been traveling for some time. Many scholars believe he was about 2 years old at this time. It's amazing to see that even at a young age, He was worshiped for He is King of kings and Lord of lords! Thank God He died for our sins to put us in a place of acceptance of God if we repent and accept his unspeakable gift!
