    Carlene,

You can find this account in Luke 7:36-50 which shows the proof of forgiveness. There is a very important message in that section of scripture. The woman's name is not given.

    Sister GiGi:

    Luke 1:26

The Hebrew New Year was calculated and adjusted every year from the spring equinox, according to our calendar this would be approximately March 21, give or take.

Their months went off the moon cycle so the sixth month would be about 26 weeks from March 21.

Gabriel would have appeared to Mary somewhere around our September 21, Elisabeth was already 6 month with child so John the Baptist would have been born close to December 25, Jesus would have been born somewhere around the following June 21.

I have not spent a lot of study on their calendar so I could be off some, but it should be close.

Essentially, Jesus was born to save mankind from sin and the wrath of God justly allotted to mankind for its sinfulness.

This salvation include many things. I will state what He saves us from: our sin (forgiveness of sin), death and the grave (victory by resurrection of the body), the wrath of God (Jesus took all of God's wrath for us on the cross), the evil one (Satan defeated by the death and resurrection of Jesus) and hell (eternal death). Now I will state what salvation saves us to: regeneration (made spiritually alive to God by the Holy Spirit), given a new nature born of the Spirit; we become adopted sons of God; we receive eternal life (instead of eternal death); are given power through God's grace to say no to what is sinful and yes to what is right; but most of all, we are come to truly know God through Jesus Christ in an endless relationship with Him.

God, in His , determined that the Son of God would become the Son of Man (to be human in every way but sin) so, conception is the beginning of a human life, and birth introduces this new life to the world. If Jesus had appeared on earth as an adult without normal human growth, mankind would not believe that He was fully human, most likely.

    Hope this helps.

Hello John. The Bible that you can read on this Site, is the King James Version & it is different from the Catholic Edition of the Bible. Its chief difference is the inclusion of seven apocryphal books interspersed within the Old Testament of the Bible. Otherwise, apart from some slight differences & word usage, they are very similar.

    Genesis 4:17 left without name

Here is scripture & thought on the matter for deeper questions that are taught on this issue.

Genesis 1:26-28, Genesis 2:7,8,15,16,18,21,22,23,24, notice in Genesis 1:27-28, says male & female & have dominion over & subdue over the sea, air, and living thing that moveth on the earth. Then HE put 'the man" in garden. Was this a certain man & his wife seperated in a special garden? Notice in Genesis 1:29 all fruit from every tree was good for meat. However in the Garden that HE planted Genesis Genesis 2:8-9, he put the man he had formed & breathed life into him & he became a living soul. Genesis 2:7,

Genesis 4:15 presence of other people,

    Hebrews 13:8, John 1:1-5, Leviticus 18, establishes GOD's law, James 1:13-16,

    Luke 1:69, Psalms 89:24-27, Titus 2:11-12, Hebrews 5,

Genesis 4:25,26, 1 Corinthians 15:20-23, one lineage from Adam to Seth to Jesus recorded lineage of redemption Matthew, we are adopted heirs through Christ, Ephesians 1:5

Many agree this lineage was significant to show fall of mankind & redemption

    John 21:25

Hopefully this is helpful to your question.

Good, you're at the right site. Start reading the WORD written inside by clicking the Books, I like Luke when I started that was great to show me as new study who Christ Jesus was, is & is to come. Hover over the scripture here, should bring you straight to it.

Luke 1:1-4, you can continue to read by clicking read full chapter the scroll down, click tab on edges to next chapter, etc. Many people enjoy Psalms, I didn't enjoy it as much as a new beginner study but do enjoy it much more now after years of study.

    Psalms 1:1-3,

U may enjoy Exodus, which actually begins in Genesis 37:1-36, continues : Genesis 39:1-23, Genesis 40:1-23, Genesis 41:1-57, Genesis 42:1-38, Genesis 43:1-34, Genesis 44:1-34,

[Note this scripture chapter 44, Genesis, if you noticed we skipped Genesis 38, because it jumps from Joseph to Judah. Now if you read Genesis 38:1-30, you can understand a few things on deeper level = Judah maybe knows painful loss of children at this point in his life & even the difference of love towards children of his "loved wife". Next very importance of Judah's sacrifice for others, resemblance of Jesus sacrifice being beloved Son of GOD. John 3:16, ]also interesting Tamar, bore to Judah the son in Jesus documented lineage Matthew 1:1-3]

Back to story : Genesis 45:1-28, (forgiveness), Genesis 46:1-34, Genesis 47:1-12 (Redemption) Genesis 47:27-31,

    Now note: Genesis 47:13-26 , Genesis 12:1-3, Genesis 12:10, Genesis 12:11-16, * Genesis 12:13-20, Genesis 16:3, Genesis 16:6-11, Genesis 15:13-14, Genesis 21:8-21, my own opinion Deuteronomy 32:35-36, Romans 12:19.

These moments in Genesis leading up to how & why Israel came into bondage. Exodus 1:1-8, continue reading Exodus 1:22, please continue to read all of Exodus.

One more encouraging note :) Hebrews 11:22, Psalms 105:1-45,

Furthermore on this site under the 1611 Version tab you can scroll to see more history on the Bible.

Hopefully these inspire a new lifetime desire of deeper study

Luke 23:29, Isaiah 54:1, these scriptures exist too. When other women say._..

Luke 1:25, 1 Samuel 1:6, women have cruelly mocked other women many times over this issue & others.

Remember GOD justifies Romans 8:33, Psalms 22:24, be encouraged sis

    Proverbs 16:9, Romans 5:1, James 2:22-25,

However the root argument sometimes stem from situational issues of choice which people may be referring to Genesis 38:6-10, then continued reading Tamar was considered "more righteous" Genesis 38:26, pursuing offspring of her dead husbands lineage, which was significant either in justification, reward or preplanned destiny. Matthew 1:3, Genesis 38:29, she is written in the documentation of Jesus lineage. Hebrews 11,

    Additional scripture

Act 17:28-29, Malachi 2:15, Isaiah 65:21-24, on their perspective

I hope this was encouraging & helpful

Hi English Sacha In the old testament men of God had spirit upon them conditionally which is why David the King said take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Notice I said upon them not in them None of the disciples had spirit until the day of pentecost when it became available to be born again by believing In what Jesus Christ by the Work of Gods Grace. Abraham was justified by believing there are people in the old testament who were as God says in Luke 1:6 were both righteous walking in the commandments of the law doesn't mean they had spirit and doesn't mean they did not sin it's just that they did not break fellowship intentionally. So the people in the old testament will be resurrected by there faithful walk in the law, we in the age of grace totally different administration saved under Gods deliverance by Jesus Christ are not saved by our works but strictly by Gods choosing and our believing. We must believe to receive.

Hello Prasanth. In Genesis 15:1, Abram received a vision from God & in it God spoke to Him. As declared to us in the Bible, the Essence of God's Being revealed to us is His Word & His Spirit: not three gods, but One God manifested in the fulness of His Being. So when God speaks, as here, & many other places in the Bible, He is sending out His Word to inform or alert man.

But when God planned at a specific time that One should lay down His Life for the sins of mankind, instead of giving another animal for sacrifice or creating another man for this purpose, God sent forth His Word (from within Himself), clothed it with flesh, so that the Word of God could now be seen & heard by His people ( John 1:1-14; Hebrews 1:1-6) & ultimately lay down His Life for us all ( John 10:14-18; 1 John 3:16). So the Word of God came into the world formed as a human babe & was called the Son of God ( Luke 1:35).

Thank you brother for sharing what you did - I'm sure that you have also been a great encouragement for us to seek the Lord with all of our being, to please Him in every area of our lives, & to make His Love known to all who give us an ear.

There is one aspect of reading the whole Bible & therefore gaining a working knowledge of its contents and another aspect of knowing all the intracacies of biblical Truth. I don't believe that on this side of Heaven, anyone can claim such knowledge, for often that runs very deep & we are not privy to all the circumstances, the people & the background in those accounts. Indeed, we need to always grow in the knowledge of the Word, but that takes time & shouldn't be an excuse to prohibit us from reaching out to others.

You have a very genuine love for the Lord & to share that love with others. Your testimony, your full belief in the Truth of the Gospel & the power therein ( Romans 1:16), & a readiness to speak with people where they're at in their lives, offering them the hope that you also have in Christ, is all you need. God's Spirit in you will surely delight to use you, for this is the very reason for His Coming ( John 16:8): to speak forth the Good News to those sitting in darkness ( Luke 1:79) - that you might be His mouthpiece to declare the Glory of God & of His Son & shine His Light. Yes, there will be testing times (Satan does not appreciate his dark evil domain being infused with God's Light), but "greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world" ( 1 John 4:4). Do you believe that brother? Then you can trust Him for not only that power to witness, but to minister to your family needs, job situation, rejection by others, & so on. Faith is indeed the victory that overcomes the world ( 1 John 5:4) & the Spirit in you knows this & will honour His Presence & His Word - that you will lack nothing & remain fearless in your walk in Christ. I leave this great Benediction with you - in Hebrews 13:20,21. Every blessing.

When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgement, and by the spirit of burning.

And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall ne a defence.

    Isaiah 4:4-5

Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

    Acts 2:38

    Whom God hath set forth to ne a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forebearance of God;

    Romans 3:25

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

    Romans 3:24

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he may be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

    Romans 3:26

    Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

    Hebrews 10:8

    This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

Having therefore brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

    By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

    Hebrews 10:16-20

To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by remission of their sins,

Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,

    Luke 1:77-78

But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off...

It as the Holy Spirit wills. Tongues are a sign for the believer. It gives REST to our spirits. It is an act of faith. At times it is deep inner groaning. It makes no sense to the natural human mind.

If you ask the Holy Spirit for a gift; receive it by faith.

When we draw close to the Holy Spirit, He draws close to us. He comforts us. He teaches us, as in that He reveals Jesus to our mind, heart and soul.

An example of this is in Luke 1:46-55, 2:19

"My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my Spirit hath Rejoiced in God my Savior."

I ask? can anyone sing, "Holy Holy Holy is His Name" without your spirit exalting in God?

What do we think of those who almost died and were revived; and say they saw something or someone not of this world? Are they all faking it?

I was so close to dying from alcohol + downer cocktails; I was suicidal. I wanted to die from a broken heart.

One night I saw Jesus in a vision, not smiling. His eyes pierced my soul. Someone said, why does the Bible say it's wrong (evil). 2 Timothy 3:5, 15.

I woke up saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit the next morning. All the demons were gone.

Jesus is alive. He is involved in peoples lives. You have to decide that every verse in the Bible is Truth. If you seek a gift from the Holy Spirit, then ask. Read everything about it. Your faith has to be involved. Seek and you will find.

In my life, I learned to fast, and pray for answers.

Stay separated from the frivolous; read slower and ask the Holy Spirit to teach me.

The greatest power and faith, comes through a spirit that worships and is free to Praise exceedingly. Isaiah 6 makes me cry because Jesus is so Holy and lifted up.

We are clean through His Blood. We can approach for what we Need.

Sometimes perhaps we downplay the worship and adoration of who Jesus is.

I truly understand how hard it is to separate ourselves from busy lives, to spend an hour just sitting in His Presence. The benefits are worth it.

    Ilya,

You ask: Where are the waters from above?

The moisture including rain and snow fall to our earth, from the Heavens above. God can provide us with this vital water, and can also take it away. He reminds us of this periodically, with floods, and droughts.

When you say impossible: nothing is impossible for God.

    Luke 1:37

"For with God nothing shall be impossible."

    God Bless.

    Lily Mcallister on John 1

Is the Holy Spirit a person?

    Jehovah's is a spirit ( Psalm 83:18; John 4:24). and he made his Angels spirits ( psalm 104:4);

and he blew his spirit into Adam nostril "the breath of life." when a men or human dies, his breath goes out. and the spirit returns to God (not the flesh itself.. because the body is flesh made from dust - Genesis 2:7).

the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, these qualities is his spirit. this he has created men in his image to display these qualities to take care of the earth. -

    Galatians 5:22,23

According to Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus said go therefore baptizing in the name of the father, the son and the holy spirit (the accurate term is holy spirit because John 4:24 accurately says spirit). Also, Jesus is not God ( John 5:19) but he was raised up as a spirit again; and he is a Angel.- John 14:28

Point: God can give his spirit to anyone to serve his purpose- Luke 1:35. if we worship God, we must worship with spirit and truth- john 4:24. anyone who want to worship in truth...should believe in the word of God ( 2 Timothy 3:16,17). by this God will give his spirit and truth will speak.

To illustrate: person 1, person 2, and person 3 are all different people. God will and can give his spirit to person 2 to carry out a particular task. God may want person 2 to completes that task fully. he may use person 3 or person 1 to do something completely different or accomplish the same purpose. (so yes the spirit basically belongs to God, because he is a spirit and the source of distributing that spirit to accomplish his purpose.- Genesis 1:1,26,27 ). no human can force God to do this or that. he is the boss of the spirit.- Isaiah 43:11-13

    hope these scriptures help.

Hello Luc. Roman Catholics & even some other 'churches' make reference to Mary, the Mother of Jesus & use it as part of their praise & petition to her. However, nowhere in the Scriptures do we read of this ever happening or required.

What we do read is in Luke 1:28, "And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women" & this is probably one of the references that RCs use to elevate the status of Mary, alongwith papal edicts. Please note, that in the Greek, the word "Hail" means 'Greetings', as the angel greeted Mary & gave her God's Message.

But when we consider those who worship Mary, the most recited version is: "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen." Here, Mary is elevated to the position of an intercessor, but this is purely the RC belief that Mary's supposed higher status of being the bearer of Jesus, also grants her intercessory powers.

But the Bible states in 1 Timothy 2:5: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus". There can be no Mary, no saint, nor angel in Heaven or on Earth who can mediate on our behalf. That is why we always make our petitions to God through His Son Jesus Christ, Who alone can mediate for us because of His Sacrifice & God's acceptance of it. If we send our prayers & praises to God through any other name, we will not only not be heard, but we do great wrong to the position of Jesus in Heaven & His great Sacrifice on Earth. Please be comforted & encouraged in your belief that we can approach God only through His Son.

    PRE-TOJT Great GRACE Departure:

    (A) God's TWO Different programs, Rightly Divided

    (B) Distinctions Between GREAT GRACE Departure and Second Coming

LORD JESUS, we beseech Thee Now For Thy Divine Understanding In This Thy Most Important Doctrine For our COMFORT And Consolation. Amen. ( 1 Thessalonians 4:18)

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

    (A) God's TWO Different programs, Rightly Divided:

Time Of JACOB's {Israel's} Trouble (TOJT), Ending With The Second Coming, is found in:

God's Prophetic Program, Under LAW, gospel of the kingdom ("ages" past/future) (Genesis-John; Hebrews-Revelation)

God's "Earthly Kingdom" Purpose From "the foundation of the world" ( Matthew 25:34)

God's Purpose Prophesied "since the world began" ( Luke 1:68-70; Acts 3:21)

Rightly Divided ( 2 Timothy 2:15) From Things That DIFFER:

    Great GRACE Departure!

Pre-TOJT Resurrection/Departure of The Body Of CHRIST, Ending God's Age Of GRACE, Is Found In:

God's Revelation Of The Mystery, Under The Gospel Of The GRACE Of God { Current = "But NOW!" } (Romans through Philemon!)

God's "Heavenly Hidden" Purpose Before "the foundation of the world" ( Ephesians 1:4; 2 Timothy 1:9)

God's Heavenly Purpose Kept Secret "since the world began" ( Romans 16:25; Ephesians 1:4-11, 3:5-9)

Come get everlasting life! Read, learn, and pray to apply!

    John 17:3

And this is life eternal (everlasting), that they might know thee (you) the only true God (* Psalm 83:18), and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast (you have) sent. ( Luke 1:30-35; Matthew 1:21-24; John 5:19; John 17:5)

    *In the King James translation:

Psalm 83:18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth. ( John 4:24; Exodus 6:2,3)

i saw a great answer to my concern to what seems like the closeness of Zacharias mouth

was a punishment whereas the account of him was that of an eminent piety and

    integrity.

Precious friend, IMKane: "Paul seems to be saying there were TWO gospels." Yes, Biblically Correct! Note the following 'Dispensational' Differences Between God's TWO Gospels:

Part I Gospel of the kingdom =

Gospel of the circumcision ( Galatians 2:7; Acts 3:25-26; Genesis 17:9-14)

Preached by John, Jesus, and the 12 ( Matthew 3:2; Matthew 4:17; Matthew 4:23; Matthew 9:35; Matthew 10:5-8)

The Prophecy Program for the Jews ( Luke 1:32-33; Luke 3:19-26; Daniel 2:44; James 1:1)

Preaching of The Cross as historical ( Acts 2:23,36; Acts 3:14-15; Acts 5:30)

    Gospel to be believed = Christ's Name ( Matthew 16:16; John 20:31; 1 John 5:13)

Salvation by faith and water baptism ( Mark 1-4; Mark 16:16; Luke 7:29-30; Acts 2:38)

Justification without works is dead ( James 2:17; James 2:20; James 2:24; James 2:26)

Repentance emphasized along with faith ( Mark 1:15; Luke 3:8-14; Acts 3:19)

    Reconciliation not mentioned.

    Covers Matthew - Acts 8, then Tribulation ( Acts 3:19-21; Acts 8:12; Matthew 24:14)

Under The Law ( Matthew 5:17; Matthew 8:4; Matthew 23:2-3)

    Good works will follow salvation ( Matthew 7:15-20; 1 John 2:3-5; 1 John 2:29; 1 John 3:7,10)

Rightly Divided From ( 2 Timothy 2:15) From "Things That DIFFER!":

    Gospel Of GRACE
